The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact pulled over and turned off the vehicle to reset the instrument cluster; however, the warning lights remained illuminated. The contact checked under the hood to check if the battery terminal was loose, but found no issues. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who replaced the 12-Volt battery; however, the warning lights returned. Additionally, the contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light or while depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle was vibrating. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The contact had stopped driving the vehicle. The contact stated that prior to the instrument cluster failure, the low-pressure tire monitor warning light was intermittently illuminated. The tire pressures were checked; however, there was no indication of a tire pressure being low. The contact had also felt the vehicle vibrating, but it was not as noticeable as until recently. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

Engine head gasket failed allowing a coolant leakage, which damaged spark plugs and fuel injectors. There is video evidence of this failure provided by the dealership service center. Link to video: [XXX] This occurred at approximately 70k mileage, which is far earlier than a failure like this would be reasonably foreseeable. I see many, many, others online who have had the same failure on my model of car at similar (early) mileages of 70k-90k. My car lost power on the highway, leading to a dangerous driving condition for myself an others. There was no obvious warnings that this would occur. After pulling over and turning off then turning on the car again, the car was intermittently drivable, with clear engine trouble. It is uncertain which specific system/systems have failed/malfunctioned at this point. Despite frequent and consistent communication with Honda, no real attempt has been made to uncover the cause of this issue, and no solution has been provided. The vehicle has been, and is, available for inspection upon request. This is the 1st occurrence since the first event on 21 April 2025. This occurred on the interstate. During this event, the vehicle rapidly decelerated from 75 mph to 20 mph without the ability of the driver to intervene or take back control of the vehicle. This led to a very near miss as traffic was rapidly approaching the rear of my vehicle. At the time of the incident (5:10 pm), I was in the left lane. Traffic was moderate. The weather was clear and dry. CMBS was on. ACC was (status unknown). LKAS was on. RDM was on. Problem has not yet been reproduced but dealer has verbally indicated that they get frequent complaints about the system. This includes one employee who has experienced this on his personal vehicle. Many DTCs have been recovered from the vehicle’s log. Manufacturer: Yes, vehicle has spent 30 days, to date, in custody of Honda Police: Not yet. Will do immediately if advised Insurance Representatives: Not yet. Will do immediately if advised Others: No. Any work on the vehicle performed outside of Honda East Cincinnati will void the warranty No warning or alert (audible or visual) lights were present before, during, or after the event

This car is known for its faulty engine. The head gasket tends to blow as early as 40k miles, plenty of people have had this problem and yet there is no recall for the engine or a fix. I was driving on the highway and i was speeding up to merge into traffic and my check engine light started to flash and my car went into limp mode on the highway luckily there wasn't a lot of traffic and i got the chance to pull over and restart my car. i looked online and plenty of people were experiencing this same problem they all had the same answer as well, a blown head gasket. I'm just wondering if someone has to pass away before this gets fixed.

My son was driving home from work when car suddenly went into limp mode with check engine light and all other safety light came on the dash. Driving around 50mph and my son nearly collided with multiple cars as the became hard to steer and brakes unreliable. Luckily no one was hurt this time. Car has 83k miles. was taken to the dealer and diagnostics run and provided with a $5000. repair to replace the head gasket due to coolant leaking into cylinder #3 causing misfires. I have reached out to Honda of America with the issue.

Vehicle makes rattling noises while accelerating similar to a diesel engine also rough transitions between EV mode and Gas mode also when you press the charge button the engine makes a very noticeable jerk once it’s on ,Honda does not want to fix my issue and says everything is normal and cannot replicate the issue!! There is clearly something wrong I suspect fuel injector issues as others reported but dealer does not want to take accountability.

The infotainment system is ghosting. It changes and blanks out the screen randomly or when a phone call is received. It also will constantly beep when changing or shutting off the radio. This has been a known issue for Honda since 2017 and affects 2017-2023 Accords and Pilots. The dealer confirmed the issue through diagnostics but said Honda has no plans at this time to solve the problem. Also, the iPhone charger has never worked in the car and the Service Department at Serra Honda in O'Fallon, Illinois said there are no plans for Honda to fix the problem. These issues need to be corrected and the owners financially compensated for features that do not work and were sold to consumers knowingly by the manufacturer.
