When I started my 2022 Ford F-150 equipped with the Bang & Olufsen (B&O) sound system, a sudden extremely loud “sonic boom” noise came through the speakers without warning. The sound was so intense it caused immediate pain in my ears, and I am concerned about the possibility of permanent hearing damage. This occurred at startup, before I adjusted any audio settings. This is a serious safety hazard because: The volume level was far beyond normal operation. It caused physical harm (ear pain). Such an unexpected loud noise could startle the driver, leading to loss of vehicle control. I believe this defect poses a risk of injury and should be investigated.

Engine exhibits severe rattle on cold start ups. Occasionally a loud rattle occurs at highway speeds at random times. After research, I discovered Ford was aware of the failure of the cam phasers that produce this issue.

3 weeks after purchasing a brand new 2024 F150, brake light, ABS, traction control, Hill start assist, antilock brake fault pre-collision assist warnings all illuminated and sounded. Took an exit and had no brake control. Went into a ditch and hit a piece of metal, causing minor body damage to my new truck. Vehicle is being worked on and electronic brake booster is being replaced. Battery was not installed properly/connected tightly. Grounding issue also found.

Like most people with the same model and year. My transmission stopped shifting, and stalled. I was fortunate since I was sitting in the intersection. You need to look into the 10speed transmission they are faulty and need to be investigated!

Like a lot of f-150 owners, my 10speed transmission stopped working not allowing me to accelerate or shift into reverse. I was stuck in the intersection luckily I didn’t get into an accident. The truck was stuck in 7th gear! This is dangerous and happens far too commonly, please investigate, this is dangerous and expensive for the average consumer. Please help.

The seat track pivot link bolt has failed, yes it is available for inspection. The seat now has tons of travel in it, which will not restrain the driver in event of a crash. I have visual evidence of the part failure. The issue was part of a safety recall 17S40 which Gwinnett Place Ford claims to have addressed in 2024. The part has now failed.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and accelerating, the transmission was shifting hard shift, causing the vehicle to jump before accelerating. The failure also occurred while reversing. The vehicle failed to immediately start, and several attempts were needed to start the vehicle. The contact occasionally cleared DTC: P1702 (Transmission Range Sensor Fault). During the failure, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode. The failure was intermittent. The “WRENCH” warning light was intermittently illuminated. The failure became more persistent over time. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed because there were no codes displayed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

Both left and right exhaust manifolds have broken studs that have resulted in exhaust leaks from both manifolds. The broken studs can be seen via a visual inspection. Exhaust leaks can be heard at engine start and during higher load operations. This failure is allowing hot exhaust gas to leak into the engine compartment creating an engine fire risk as well as compromising engine performance. The local Ford dealer confirmed the broken studs and exhaust manifold leaks. The failure was noted during a 100,000 mile service but the symptoms began to be noted at about 60,000 to 70,000 miles.

I have a 2013 F150 XLT. It is displaying the same backup camera issues that the recent recall has described, however it is not included in the recall. When I put the transmission in reverse, the backup camera display is either blank, shows a momentary blue screen, then blank or shows a distorted reversed image with no guidelines. I'm just reporting this information in an effort to expand Ford's recall to all years/models effected by this backup camera fault. Thanks.

24E08 for catalytic converter. Ford has a customer service program for other VINs. This is not included. This is a widespread failure based on forms I have read across various year. I have 95k miles and have owned for 4.5 years. They also stated the PCM software needs to be updated related to the catalytic converter. This is about a 3k repair. 24E04 covers this exact issue, but my VIN was on included.

A defect in the 2018-2020 Ford F-150's 5.0-liter V8 "Coyote" engine that causes excessive oil consumption, potentially leading to engine failure, reduced efficiency, and increased emissions. Ford concealed this defect not letting owners know and didn’t issue a recall. The oil dip always reads as if there is not enough oil in the truck causing you to have to constantly top off oil which is always over the usual amount of oil needed. The excessive oil consumption and potential carbon deposits can lead to severe engine issues, including stalling or even complete engine failure. This has caused other issues. This oil consumption defect has been there since I purchased this vehicle causing oil changes sooner than needed. A manufacturing defects in the 2018-2020 Ford 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission, commonly found in newer F-150 trucks, causing issues like harsh/erratic shifting, jerking, and power loss. The erratic shifting and power loss can pose a safety risk, especially when accelerating, merging, or in traffic. Ford concealed this defect not letting owners know and didn’t issue a recall. I also, have had transmission defects that has needed repairs and replacement due to Power-shift dual-clutch, harsh shifting and power failure. My trucks have had two transmission major repairs. The first time on 9/6/22 at 36,541 miles the whole transmission had to be replaced completely due to powertrain or reduced engine power. Then again on 9/20/25 at 62,948 miles same issue Powertrain (wrench symbol) on the supposedly new transmission this time Ford dealership said it was the transmissions Dual clutches. This i didn't understand why was it happening with a new transmission and always met with an I don’t know these things happen by Ford attendants. This caused to go without a vehicle for months having to use public transportation, loss of money, and time from work. Again, none of these defects were explained or recalled.

The contact indicated that the failure was intermittent. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V252000(BACK OVER PREVENTION). The vehicle based in this report is a 2024 Ford F-150 Platinum with a Power Boost drivetrain, which is a hybrid system. I purchased this vehicle new in December of 2024 from Dewey Ford in Ankeny, IA and it has accumulated approximately 6,000 miles on the vehicle. I have been expeiriencing probems starting at around 900 miles on the vehicle. The issue is that the vehicle experiences a significant surge just before stopping. This occurs when the vehicle is operating on electric drive and before coming to a stop, the gasoline engine will engage at a high RPM. The result is that it creates a surge or bump in the vehicle drivetrain and without your foot securely on the brake it would push you into an instersection, potentially impacting other vehicles. The issue is intermittent and varies in severity which is also a concern as you never know when it will occur. On three three seperate occasions I took the vehicle to the selling dealer and I keep being told this is normal operation. After the third attempt, I insisted the Service Manager of the delaership ride with me to experience the issue. After he experienced the surge/bump, he agreed to get Ford engineering involved. After two weeks I was told by the dealer again that this is normal operation for the vehicle. Not satisfied I contacted Ford's Customer Care Center (CASE #[XXX]) requesting A buy back of the vehicle under my state's Lemon Law regulations. As a result they sent a field service engineer to the dealer and checked out the vehicle and again was told this is normal operation. I don't allow anyone else to drive the vehicle over concerns that the surge/bump may create a situation where the driver would panic when experiencing the surge/bump when stopping. At this point the issue is a safety concern and I am concerned it could lead to an accident. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
