Finnegan completed manufacturer emissions recall UB4 (evaporative canister) on my 2015 Chrysler 300S, VIN [XXX], on [XXX]. After that repair the check engine light returned. Independent scan showed code P0456 on the same EVAP system. I asked Finnegan to inspect their completed campaign work at no charge. They required a paid diagnostic. Chrysler cases [XXX] and [XXX] were opened and closed; Chrysler said they cannot override the dealer fee. I did not refuse a repair. I refused a paid diagnostic on work already performed under a manufacturer campaign. I want Finnegan to inspect the UB4 work at no charge or explain in writing why a paid diagnosis is required. 2015 Chrysler 300S VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 198,677 Finnegan Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, [XXX], completed manufacturer emissions recall UB4 (evaporative emissions canister replacement) on this vehicle. After that repair the check engine light returned. On XXX, AutoZone scanned the vehicle. The only code stored was P0456, EVAP System Leak Detected (very small leak). The scan identified the Emission System Integrity Monitor (ESIM), which mounts on the canister, replaced under UB4. The dealer service advisor, [XXX], said the vehicle would have to be diagnosed again and that I would have to pay for the diagnosis if they found something other than the original recall item. She said a manager would call back. I did not receive a call back. I opened Chrysler Customer Care case XXX. I have not authorized a paid diagnostic or signed a paid repair order. I am requesting that the completed UB4 repair area and related EVAP/ESIM components be inspected at no charge. I am filing this report because the same evaporative emissions system set a leak code after a completed manufacturer campaign, and the servicing dealer required a paid diagnosis before inspecting that work.
