The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Super Cruise or Cruise Control would not deactivate when the On/Off button was depressed, causing the steering wheel to flash red and the vehicle to suddenly shift down in velocity. A message "Super Cruise not available" was displayed on the instrument panel. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

The internal structural frame or track assembly of the driver side passenger seat has suffered a mechanical failure, causing severe, high-frequency metal chattering while the vehicle is in motion. The failure persists even with a passenger buckled into the seat. Because the seat frame serves as the structural anchor for both the seatbelt restraint system and the side-impact airbags, an un-diagnosed internal fracture poses a direct risk to occupant safety in the even of a collision. Videos of the issue are available.

I took my vehicle in several times for issues regarding the brakes. I was told for months nothing was wrong. The brake percentage was rapidly declining on the display and they just kept saying it would fix itself in an update. Finally the service brake alert came on prompting me to take it to the dealership again for the brakes. I was told my front brakes were completely gone and needed new pads and rotors and my back brake lines were severed and pouring brake fluid everywhere. I was told I was lucky I brought it when I did because I could have gone to stop and just not been able to. It was concerning because there was no warning or indication there was anything wrong and I kept being told everything was fine

We experienced power steering failure. Our steering wheel control was taken over while backing out of our driveway and while driving on a highway. When this happens, you can’t turn the wheel. It becomes locked and then you become stuck. It is extremely unsafe and put our whole family at risk of getting in an accident. It is currently sitting at the dealership and has been there for weeks. We have documents confirming the problem. The dealer even had a problem pulling it into the garage for the diagnostics. We have been out of a car for weeks because the steering rack part is impossible to get and is in very high demand which leads us to believe we are not the only ones experiencing this. Again I stress, this was very scary for our family and it really puts people at risk. It is a new car and we should not have experienced this.

Check engine light came on and I noticed that the cooling fan would continue running for several minutes even after turning vehicle off. Had a mechanic run the diagnostics and the code came back as a thermostat/cooling issue. Although when I called to make an appointment and told him the issue and that it was a 2021 Traverse, he knew exactly what the issue was. He said that is a very common issue in all 2021 Chevy/GM engines. Online research provided a couple special coverages for repairs on 7 different GM vehicles from that same time period. Of course, the Traverse is one that is not included. Seems fairly obvious this was a GM engine issue from all vehicles in the 2021-2023 timeframe. Not sure how they can only pick out 7 models, but I am hoping an update can be made to add the Traverse and any other GM models that have that same 2021 engine.

- #11737441May 12, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I am reporting a serious safety concern involving my 2026 Chevy Traverse that occurred on May 9, 2026 at 6:46pm. While driving at freeway speed in the carpool lane with adaptive cruise control and gap assist engaged, my vehicle suddenly applied the brakes unexpectedly even though there were no vehicles directly in front of me. The nearest visible vehicle was a significant distance ahead, and there was no apparent reason for the braking event. This was not a gradual deceleration. The vehicle actively braked. I was passing under or near an overpass at the time, which makes me wonder whether the sensors misread something. Regardless, the sudden braking created a dangerous situation because vehicles were behind me, and the driver behind appeared to think I was brake checking them. This could have easily caused a rear end collision. As a result of this incident, I no longer feel I can trust these safety/driver assistance systems and have since disabled those features because I do not feel safe relying on them until this issue is properly investigated and addressed. I am requesting that this issue be formally documented, that the vehicle be inspected for any malfunction related to adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, or related sensor systems, and that I be advised whether this is a known issue with the 2026 Traverse. If there are any software updates, technical service bulletins, recalls, or corrective actions available, please let me know. This is a serious safety concern, and I would appreciate guidance on the next steps.

While driving the steering wheel will intermittently lock up or make it where you cannot turn the steering wheel at all. The collision sensors will go off and cause vehicle to lock the brakes up when you’re not even close to anything. Also, random messages will appear in dash as shift to neutral while driving ect. See pictures.

I am filing a safety complaint regarding two vehicles provided through Bob Hook Chevrolet in [XXX] . My Chevrolet Traverse has been at the dealership for approximately one month due to a transmission failure. The vehicle has remained unrepaired during that time. The transmission issue has made the vehicle unreliable and unsafe to operate. While my Traverse was in the shop, the dealership provided me with a Buick Enclave loaner vehicle. On Thursday, while driving the Enclave, the vehicle repeatedly stalled. The entire electrical system shut down, and the power steering failed and locked up. This created a very dangerous situation and made it difficult to safely control the vehicle in traffic. After reporting the breakdown and safety concerns, the dealership’s only solution was to return my Chevrolet Traverse to me even though it had not been repaired. I am concerned about the serious safety risks involving sudden stalling, electrical failure, loss of steering assist, and unresolved transmission problems. I request that these issues be investigated to determine whether defects exist that could endanger other drivers. Back in December 2025 took car in because there was a coolant leak until the car started. Alerting me that it was overheating in the middle of the freeway. I had to find a place to pull over while the car was alerting. With urgent urgent urgent alert to pull over. Took it into dealership and it Turns out it had a coolant hose leak . I took the car in for an oil change TODAY and turns out has a host leak again. The dealer did the inspection and I don’t have the part available to fix it. And this is a brand new car giving me issues. I travel far on weekend so this would be hazzard. The dealer said the water tank low because of the leak. It’s also the rear backseat window would not go Thank you It’s leaking, and that’s a safety issue. Because if there’s Down emergency, we can roll the window down. We also had an issue with the break pad alert system alert me. There was no brakes. It turned out to be in update issue and again I was going to travel on vacations. Those are other issues. I’ve had with the car but the maintenance issue today is at the clothes again is leaking and is a safety hazard because if I’m driving and the car and it overheats.

My car randomly started alerting me of “ECS service” & “Brake assist service”. The dealership essentially did nothing even though there is an active recall on the 2024 models.

At approximately 30,000 miles, upon starting my 2025 Chevrolet Traverse LT, the brake pedal traveled completely to the floorboards with zero resistance. Simultaneously, the 'Service Brake Assist' warning message appeared. This loss of hydraulic pressure occurred while stationary. This follows a dealership visit one week prior for a 'glitchy' check engine light that was dismissed by service staff. The vehicle is being towed via flatbed to the dealership as it is unsafe to operate. Additionally, the vehicle has exhibited abnormally 'touchy' brake response and a persistent high-pitched squeal from the front assembly since purchase. These symptoms suggest a failure of the e-Boost braking system and/or internal master cylinder seals, consistent with Service Update N242482170. This defect poses an immediate risk of total brake failure during operation.

- #11736038May 6, 2026POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM), ENGINE
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving in first gear, the vehicle would independently enter limp mode as the check engine light would appear on the instrument panel. Due to the vehicle failing to accelerate above first gear, the contact would be forced to restart the vehicle as the vehicle would then resume normal operation. The contact stated that the vehicle had been taken to the dealer nine times due to the failure. The dealer had failed to duplicate the failure; however, when using a code reader, a message for the transmission control module would appear. Despite the dealer replacing both the transmission control module and wire harness attached to the module, the failure had persisted. The dealer had requested a traveling engineer to inspect the vehicle where unknown repairs were performed on the vehicle. The vehicle did appear to be repaired after the initial repair; however, the failure recently returned. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000

It started when I put my car in reverse and it would delay and jerk back before reversing off and on. About a month later, I started my car in the street and accelerated and it jerked and shut off in the middle of a street. I restarted it and accelerated it again and it jerked and shut off again. It's a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse with 61,570 miles. I towed it back to dealer and they are stating it's an issue with the transmission and want to charge $9800. I can send the email Chevy sent for the repair estimate. My safety was put at risk by completely stopping in the middle of the street where I could have gotten crashed into. The problem was confirmed by the chevy dealer where I bought the vehicle. The vehicle was seen by transmission specialist at Chevy dealer. No warning messages at all. Chevy app kept saying everything looks good with vehicle.

While driving, the steering wheel became very hard to control. A system warning came up on the dashboard screen stating that the steering wheel was not working. With an 18-wheeler coming up behind me the decision to pull over was made. The left hand turn into an auto part store was made with much difficulty and so was trying to park. Gentleman inside inspected the vehicle and highly recommended NOT driving the vehicle since it was a safety issue not only for myself but others as well.
