The 2027 Subaru Trailseeker EV is positioned as a rugged, all-electric vehicle featuring standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a 14-inch Subaru Multimedia System touchscreen. It delivers a combined output of 375 horsepower and offers an estimated range of up to 281 miles on a single charge.
Performance and Range
The 2027 Subaru Trailseeker EV is powered by a 74.7-kWh high-capacity lithium-ion battery, providing up to 281 miles of range. It includes a standard North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, allowing access to over 25,000 charging stations across North America. The vehicle supports DC fast charging at speeds up to 150 kW, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 28 minutes.
An onboard battery pre-conditioning system is also integrated, which can be activated by navigating to a charging destination or manually via the touchscreen. This feature allows the 2027 Subaru Trailseeker EV to charge efficiently in cold climates, down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit, at speeds comparable to those in warmer conditions. With 375 horsepower, the Trailseeker EV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, making it the quickest production Subaru model sold in the U.S.
Design and Capability
The 2027 Subaru Trailseeker EV features 8.5 inches of ground clearance and includes the X-MODE® Dual-Mode System, offering Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud Modes, Grip Control, and Downhill Assist Control for off-road driving. The standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system is refined for the all-electric powertrain, incorporating a variable torque split for regenerative braking and power distribution to enhance traction and stability.
Inside, the Trailseeker offers a spacious cabin with a 14-inch touchscreen and metallic accents. It provides up to 31.3 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear, comparable to the 2026 Subaru Outback, and has a 700-pound static load capacity for its standard raised roof rails. The vehicle is rated to tow up to 3,500 pounds. Compared to the Subaru Solterra, the Trailseeker is more than 6 inches longer and nearly 1 inch taller, providing additional interior room.
Trims and Features
The 2027 Subaru Trailseeker EV will be available in Premium, Limited, and Touring trim levels. The Premium trim, starting at $39,995 MSRP, includes a 14-inch Subaru Multimedia System with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, heated front seats, dual wireless smartphone charging pads, and black StarTex® upholstery. It also comes standard with EyeSight® driver assist technology, which features Pre-Collision Braking, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Alert and Prevention, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
Stepping up to the Limited trim, priced at $43,995 MSRP, adds features such as a digital key, a Harman Kardon® speaker system, a panoramic view monitor, and 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. This trim also includes heated rear seats and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. The top-tier Touring trim, starting at $46,555 MSRP, further enhances luxury with a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, and radiant leg warmers. Optional black and blue leather-appointed upholstery is available for an additional $300 MSRP on the Touring trim.
