FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Full Self Driving and cruise control brakes randomly and violently with no warning at highway speeds. This has happened no less than 20 times on one trip on 8 March 2024. This has put myself and other vehicles in extreme danger. The model has had this issue known by the manufacturer and nothing has been done. This braking occurs with no warning other than the vehicle slamming on the brakes. This needs to be fixed asap, its a hazard to me as the driver and the general public

Driving normally down I-5, no other cars nearby and system suddenly phantom brakes. I am lucky no other cars were behind me as it may have well caused an accident. There were no other cars in front of me within at least 1 mile.

Vehicle has been scheduled for service 4 times to address phantom braking while set to cruise control on highways. Tesla service center continuously resolves the problem remotely stating that there are no faults in the system and it is operating as intended. I’m an airline pilot and my vehicle poses a safety hazard to me and those around me when operating in any autonomous mode.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Issues became more prevalent as soon as Tesla Insurance 2.0 came out. My car has become too sensitive often giving me several false forward collision warnings per day. This includes parked cars on my street as I’m coming in around a long corner, cars in turn lanes, and cars that I’m not even close to all being registered as collision warnings. This causes my safety score to drop for no real reason causing my monthly payments to be more. I think this is entirely done on purpose and has nothing to do with actual safety. I have scheduled service appointments and talked with Tesla insurance and they give me nothing but excuses and the run around.

My Auto Hold feature will intermittently malfunction. Although there's electronic (car's log) and I have pictures, Tesla service center is advising this is not a "serious" problem, I should pick up the car and re-create the error message and then return the car

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I have twice experienced a sudden acceleration when decreasing pressure on the accelerator pedal. It felt like the motor was producing full power. In both cases, I was able to quickly apply the brake which stopped the acceleration. Both episodes happened at slow speed, less than 20 mph, while either starting to slow for a stop or making a turn. Software on the car is fully up to date as of February 2024.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
On [XXX], I was driving from Victorville, CA to Las Vegas, NV on [XXX] northbound. Between [XXX] two incidents occurred. Both incidents involve phantom braking. My vehicle was in autopilot mode, which is essentially traffic aware cruise control. I was traveling at 70MPH and passed a semi-truck. I changed lanes back into the right lane after passing the truck. About 30 seconds later, the car slammed on the brakes. The semi-truck behind me took immediate evasive maneuver and swerved into the left lane to avoid hitting me. There was no obstruction in front of me. The nearest vehicles ahead of me were so far away that I could barely see their tail lights. This was a very unsafe condition. The second incident happened about 40 minutes later. No other vehicles were near me although the sudden braking gave me a scare. There were no warnings, messages, or any indication that the sudden braking was being applied. The Tesla App allows the owner to transfer the App to another user for access to the vehicle. The App allows the other user to enter the vehicle and drive it. It also allow the other user to enter a credit card for the purpose of using the Tesla charging stations and purchasing Tesla products and services. However, when the other user tries to charge the vehicle (or make purchases of products and services), the credit card is not recognized. I was stranded in Lone Pine, CA in freezing temperatures because the App DOES NOT indicate that ONLY THE OWNER'S CREDIT CARD IS AUTHORIZED FOR THIS VEHICLE. I had to find out the hard way that my credit was not going to allow me to charge the vehicle. I could have been in serious trouble if I had been in the middle of nowhere.

The contact owns a 2021 Tesla Model 3. The contact stated while driving in the rain, there was an auto rain-sensing feature on the vehicle that was inoperable. The contact stated that the front windshield wipers did not automatically turn on while it was raining and that the auto rain-sensing feature worked intermittently. The contact stated that the manufacturer was made aware of the unreliability of the auto rain-sensing feature, but stated it was a Beta feature. The contact stated that the risk was that there was no physical control for the front windshield wipers causing a safety issue because the contact could not engage the wipers safely when driving as it was not readily accessible via the entertainment panel when the auto rain-sensing was inoperable. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed, but not repaired because there was no fix. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown.

WHILE PROCEEDING TO TAKE OFF FROM TRAFFIC LIGHT GREEN SIGNAL LEFT TURN THE CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION WITH WARNING SOUND AND SIGN ON THE DASH, THE CAR BARLY MOVED OUT OF THE WAY OF INCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME. THE FIRST TIME HAPPENED ON FEB,03,2024 WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN THE HOV LANE.

Traveling on I35 South, approx 70 -75 MPH. Using adaptive cruise control/enhanced auto pilot. No vehicles present within a mile of my vehicle. Braking spontaneously engaged, reducing speed to 40MPH within seconds. If a vehicle were behind me they would have absolutely collided. I've not filed a report with Tesla. Vehicle did not display any warning, or any other sort of indication that a malfunction had occurred. The problem has not been reproduced by me, however an internet search returns multiple complaints of these exact symptoms.

Back in February my Tesla Model 3 started acting up Emergency Brake was disabled, automatic vehicle hold was disabled, and traction control was disabled all issues I reported to the company app with photo. This problem stated when a software update happened after the Tesla app requested it.

Have reported multiple times the safety hazard with the unnacuracy of the mileage given per charge. Vehicle will drain through battery leaving motorist standard. When using self drive option vehicle will not stay in appropriate lanes. Vehicle will overheat on battery and start making concerning sounds while driving. When reported to Tesla they acknowledged the issue but have failed to fix the issues on the vehicle.

This incident is reported by a law office. The car being driven by our client was a TESLA Model 3 which made a SUDDEN UNEXPECTED ACCELERATION when our client was slowly looking for a parking space at a parking lot. The TESLA car suddenly accelerated at a high rate of speed without client pressing on the accelerator. On the contrary, our client was stepping on the brakes in an attempt to stop it but the TESLA did not stop but still continued to accelerate. This accident caused property damages and injuries to our client, his passenger, and others.

Auto windshield wipers do not turn on often when raining or misting. I constantly have to change the settings which takes my eyes off the road often. Very poor and unsafe system
