SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with door latch mechanisms that are prone to water intrusion. In rare instances the handle lever inside the door may bind, preventing a door from latching or unlatching. If the door does not latch, the customer would notice it swinging freely and a âdoor ajar" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display. If the door does not unlatch, the customer could exit the vehicle through another door. Rivian will replace all 4 exterior door handle levers with upgraded components. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T and R1S vehicles. On these vehicles, the automatic adjustment of the steering wheel and seats to the customerâs preferred positions may become disabled due to a system incompatibility with a recent software update. Under this condition customers may need to position their steering wheel and seat manually. If the automatic adjustment functionality is lost, the driver will receive a notification on the center display indicating that the automatic seat and steering adjustment features are not available. Rivian will re-enable the automatic adjustment functionality through a software recalibration. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that could exhibit inadequate sealing on the seams of the high voltage (HV) battery. This condition could, in rare instances, result in moisture entering the HV battery and a potential loss of HV isolation. A loss of HV isolation could cause a detectable short in the HV battery, causing the vehicle to enter a reduced performance safe state mode and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light to illuminate on the driver display. Rivian will apply a sealant to the perimeter of the HV battery to prevent moisture from entering the seams of the HV battery. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles which may have been built with a body control module (BCM) that was incorrectly assembled by the supplier. An incorrectly assembled BCM may cease functioning, which would cause an affected vehicle to enter a reduced performance safe state mode and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display. Although this condition has only been observed in one customer vehicle, it is possible that an affected vehicle could lose all exterior lighting and all electronic door locking functionality simultaneously with entering the reduced performance safe state mode. If a locked condition occurs, the vehicle can be exited by pulling the interior door handle twice. Rivian will replace the body control module in the affected vehicles. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may be prone to water collecting in the rocker panels under certain conditions such as water fording or heavy precipitation. Water collected in the rocker panels may create a sloshing sound or, over an extended period of time, may result in water seeping into the cabin. Rivian will inspect the area and, if necessary, retrofit a one way drain valve to allow proper drainage. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with a coolant filter clip that does not properly secure the coolant filter to the front subframe. If the coolant filter is not properly secured to the front subframe, it may operate with increased levels of noise and vibration from the front of the vehicle, which will be noticeable to the customer. Rivian will inspect, and, if necessary, replace the clip that secures the coolant filter to the front subframe. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with front upper control arm bolt pass through holes in the shock tower that are larger than necessary. This could lead to premature wear of the control arm bushings, causing minor changes to vehicle suspension alignment. Rivian will inspect the front upper control arm bushings for wear and install washers on the front shock towers to better support the bushings. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with an improperly routed cowl harness. If this harness is improperly routed, there is a potential for this harness to make contact with the windshield wiper mechanism during wiper use. If the harness contacts the windshield wiper mechanism and this condition persists over time, the vehicle may experience a rub-through of the wires in the harness. This potential rub-through condition may result in effects ranging from no function loss (if a redundant circuit is damaged) to disabled restraint, crash detection or other performance systems/modes. If there is a function loss, a fault indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed on their vehicle and/or the vehicle will enter into a reduced performance safe-state mode and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display. Rivian will inspect the harness and reroute, repair, or replace it if necessary to correct the condition. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with a trapped jump start wire harness. This condition would prevent the jump start wire harness from being accessed in order to supply power to the 12V batteries from an external power source, preventing the vehicle from being âjump startedâ in the event of an over-discharged 12V battery. Rivian will inspect the jump start wire harness and reroute it if necessary. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with weakened fasteners that secure some underbody panels. Heavy impact to the underbody panels could cause the fasteners to shear off and the underbody panels to become loose. If a significant number of the fasteners are broken there is a possibility that the panel could drag on the ground or detach from the vehicle, though this condition has not been observed to date in any customer vehicle. Rivian will replace these fasteners. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with drive unit housing bolts that were not fully torqued. This condition may result in insufficient force holding together the exterior casing of the front and/or rear drive unit(s). If the housings are not sufficiently secured, the drive unit(s) may operate with increased levels of noise and vibration, which will be noticeable to customers. The drive unit(s) may also leak transmission oil which may be noticeable to the customer. Ultimately, if these warning signs are ignored, the unit may experience decreased life. A failure of a drive unit would result in a reduced performance safe-state mode and a corresponding indicator light will illuminate on the driver display. Rivian will retorque the affected drive unit fasteners to the correct specification for all affected vehicles. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
