Going thru neighborhood stop signs, stopped at the first one and when i tried to take off I noticed the gas pedal wasn't accelerating vehicle like normal/ felt like a transmission slipping issue, but it finally "hooked up" and surged forward 100 feet to next stop sign, and after i stopped I hit gas pedal again only to stall out and roll thru the intersection. Brakes were almost unresponsive, and rolled about 60 seconds until truck finally shifted into park on its own and applied emergency brake. After the truck got to a complete stop, it started back up and drove fine the final 2 minutes of the drive home. No warnings/ check engine lights/ malfunction messages were displayed, no obvious signs of issues. 1. The malfunctioning component would be the motor, as it stalled out for seemingly no reason. But issue could be incorrect supply (voltage/ fuel/ air/) so something like the (fuel pump/ alternator/ control modules) could be actual culprit why truck stalled out 2. The safety of me and my passengers was at risk because we stalled out in the middle of an intersection, had it been a stop sign on a road with flowing traffic moving above 25 mph, an accident would most certainly be a good possibility. 3. The problem hasn't been reproduced by dealer or mechanic. Research into this topic yields countless similar issues with similar year and models by Ram. 4. No, vehicle want inspected by anyone but myself. This occurred in a small neighborhood with little to no traffic and no accident resulted from the truck shutting off. 5. Only symptom was a few seconds earlier, where from a complete stop it felt like the gas pedal wasn't responding at all, low rpm and almost stalling, then all the sudden the transmission "slipped" into gear and surged forward. The next stop sign 100 feet ahead is where the truck stalled and wouldn't start for a minute as i rolled uncontrollably thru the intersection, and it finally hard shifted into park and applied e-brake

While making a turn in a parking garage at low speed, I heard a loud popping sound. When I got out to inspect, I discovered that the front wheel had collapsed inward. There was no collision, curb hit, or external damage—just a spontaneous failure of the suspension system. This is the second time this same failure has occurred within the past year on this vehicle. The incident caused a complete loss of steering control, putting my safety at risk. Fortunately, I was not driving at high speed or on a public road when this occurred. There were no warning lights, noises, or other symptoms leading up to the event. The failed parts appear to include critical suspension and steering components (likely control arm, tie rod, or ball joint), and photos are available. The failure has not yet been inspected by the dealer or manufacturer, but the vehicle is available for inspection if requested. Given that this is a 2021 RAM with relatively low mileage, and it has experienced two nearly identical failures, this raises serious concerns about a potential manufacturing or design defect that could affect other vehicles. Attached are pictures from both incidents.

E torque system on this truck has had several problems Factory did replace it, but still has issues Before replacing the system, my truck shut down in the middle road several times very dangerous After replacing the system, I now get strange issues remote start stop won't work Had several situations with the truck, stopping and starting again

Ram 1500 Big Horn VIN [XXX] 3.6L V6 24V VVT eTorque Engine with Stop/Start RAM claim #[XXX] STAR case #[XXX] No check engine or codes on display… only two red batteries displayed at times.. [XXX] Slowed down left u-turn engine shut down.. pulled over came to complete stop. E-brake auto engaged and it shifted into park.. press E-brake switch to release, push start, restart engine and select drive to drive away… went to dealer.. scanned a fault but I could not leave the truck that day and was told there were no rentals for use… they will call when one is ready… waited a week and went back to dealer and the truck was scanned again “no fault” meaning the fault that was found was now gone and was it not documented by the dealer…. can’t find anything can’t fix anything… [XXX] Slowed down for speed bump engine shut down... pulled over came to complete stop. E-brake auto engaged and it shifted into park.. press E-brake switch to release, push start, put in drive to restart engine and drive away… went to dealer.. scanned no fault (had a friend in the truck at time) [XXX] Slowed down right turn into store driveway engine shut down.. came to complete stop. E-brake auto engaged and it shifted into park.. press E-brake switch to release, push start, restart engine, select drive to drive away… two battery displays on… had to turn off and restart for the displays to clear. [XXX] Slowed down left u-turn engine shut down pulled over and came to complete stop. SERVICE BRAKES
The Safety of my wife and two Sons was put at risk when the Brakes of the vehicle failed to respond, which put another driver at risk as well The problem has been confirmed by a professional investigator working directly for Chrysler stating that Due to a brake hose tear triggered by a bad factory design of the distribution of the hoses and harness on this specific vehicle model there were no warning lamps, messages our other symptoms at any time since the purchase of the vehicle

The contact owns a 2021 Ram 1500. The contact stated there was rainwater leaking into the rear passenger’s side cabin of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who replaced the third brake light and applied sealant; however, the leak persisted. The contact was informed by the dealer that the leak failure may be caused by a faulty frame or window. No further information was available. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, there was a ticking sound coming from the engine, and while at the dealer the contact was informed that the exhaust manifold was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact was informed by an independent mechanic that the bolts inside the exhaust manifold were inadequate and were prone to failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 59,700. The VIN was not available.

My wife and kids were locked inside the truck and couldn't get the doors to unlock. They tried both driver side and passenger side door lock buttons and even tried locking and unlocking the door again but it was still stuck for a while. It didn't matter if the engine was on or off. They were eventually able to get out.

While I was driving on the freeway, my check engine light came on and my battery voltage dropped rapidly (within 5 minutes I had a dead battery). My transmission, power train and electrical components all stopped working. Luckily I was pulling over before this happened so I didn’t get in a wreck on the freeway. I had a tow company take my vehicle to the dealer for inspection. After a few days they let me know it was the alternator inverter which was not functioning correctly and caused my battery to drain along with all my electrical components malfunctioning and engine stalling. The dealer has now had my truck for weeks and won’t let me drive it until they resolve the issue with a new inverter which is on back order with no updates on arrival.

POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, POWER TRAIN:TRANSFER CASE (4-WHEEL DRIVE)
The contact owns a 2021 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V754000 (VISIBILITY). The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the vehicle started to lose power. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact towed the vehicle to a dealer where it was diagnosed with transmission failure. The transmission and the clutch pack were replaced; however, the vehicle started leaking transmission fluid from a hole in the transfer case. The contact stated there was no way of knowing that the transfer case had a hole during regular maintenance services. The dealer informed the contact the repair was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.

While slowing down to stop at a stop sign the engine shut off on its own. Dash showed message to shift into park once the vehicle stopped. Parking brake also engaged on its own. After shifting into park, restarting the truck, and disengaging the parking brake I shifted back into drive but the vehicle wouldn't move. I shifted into reverse and it would go backwards. Shifted back into drive and it worked properly. It's not safe to have the engine just shut off while you are driving. Also having to put vehicle into reverse before getting it to go into drive is unsafe on a crowded road with vehicles behind you.

Towards the end of the summer of 2024 I received a recall notice #79B, rearview camera visibility. I brought my vehicle to Rockland CJD in Nanuet in September 2024, I was informed at that time that there was not a repair to correct the situation. I have since received another recall notice #97A also rearview camera visibility. I brought my vehicle to Rockland CJD today 04/10/2025 for service and to resolve the recall. I have been told that neither recall could be found through searching up the VIN. My vehicle is experiencing the problems described in the notice, blue screen or no display when shifted in reverse. I would like to be able to have this situation taken care of.

ENGINE, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Twice while coasting at between 5 & 10 mph, the engine shuts down, a warning shows auto disabled, and applies emergency brake before one can even get the transmission into park. Our concern is that this sudden stop could cause us to be hit from behind. We brought it to a Ram dealership in Hartsville, SC and they could not reproduce problem and have no idea what caused it.

STRUCTURE:BODY
The tailgate latches will not close or open properly. The latch on the tailgate has moved inwards causing it to hit the pegs in the wrong position. It will not close and if it does latch it can pop open. When it did open it didn’t indicate the tailgate was down. I’m a general contractor and have a lot of tools/material in the bed of the truck. I’m worried something could have fallen out unbeknownst to be and caused an accident.

2x within the same week after leaving a stop light/stop sign after the vehicle turns back on and starts to move forward it shuts off completely in the intersection and I had to wait for it to reset before it could be turned back on. Cars had to swerve around me to avoid hitting me. Took to RAM service and they stated a leak behind 3rd brake light got water into a RHF module. Was told after that 2 more trucks with same equipment were brought in for the same thing.

POWER TRAIN, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
In two separate instances, after coming to a stop while driving (traffic light/stop sign) when attempting to accelerate the engine revved but car did not move. The car remained in the “run” position and the emergency parking brake engaged. Similarly the display alerted that safety parking brake was activated. Vehicle would not shift out of drive. Issue was remedied by turning engine off and then back on and disengaging the parking brake. This does not happen every time I stop the car and has happened only twice in the past 100 miles.
