SummaryNew Safety Recall Advanced Communication ? P13040214 Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) announced a safety recall on certain 2014 model year (DS) RAM Truck (1500 series). The transmission case may have an improperly machined park rod guide plate mounting surface. This could cause a loss of park rod guide plate fastener clamp load and eventually the park rod guide plate fasteners may loosen. A loose park rod guide plate and fasteners may not allow the park pawl to fully engage. This condition could cause unintended vehicle movement and cause a crash without warning. Chrysler will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all involved vehicles to inspect the transmission case. Transmissions found with an improperly machined park rod guide plate mounting surface must be replaced. Dealers will be notified of the launch of this safety recall by way of established methods used in the past. We ask that you please take the time to ensure that your personnel are aware of this communication and are prepared to execute a customer friendly process for inquiries on involved vehicles.

SummaryFlash: Powertrain System Improvements/Enhancements This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software. The following powertrain system improvements/enhancements are included in this software release: ? Enhanced Automatic Oil Change Indicator(EAOCI) system enhancements that force the use of the severe duty cycle algorithm anytime the PCM is replaced. The vehicle duty cycle information used in the EAOCI calculation is stored in the PCM and cannot be recovered/transferred when the controller is replaced. As a result, the severe duty cycle is used in these scenarios to ensure the customer receives a timely oil change required message. ? Corrected a generic scan tool display issue regarding Mode 6 data accuracy. ? Improved transmission Quick Learn routine performance (Applies only to DJ vehicles)
