We have colder weather, so we had normal ice and snow on the vehicle. I walked the backside of the vehicle to the driver side. I entered on the drivers side. I started the car and turned on the defrost, I then heard the cracking, which I assumed to be the ice. When I shut the driver door the back rear window shattered.

My Rogue had an engine failure in 2024. This caused the car not slow down and not accelerate on highway and could have caused an accident. Entire engine and turbo and replaced at 71276 miles. In 2025 another incident happened where the car lost power on the interstate in left lane, I had to move my car to right side of road in busy traffic. This could have also been a major accident, and put my family at risk. I left the car at another dealer as I was on vacation. This time the EGR valve, EGR sensor had to be replaced as well as all catalytic converters at 97018 and 97282 miles I received the recall notice after all of this in the mail about the engine recall on this Rogue and Nissan is failing to reimburse me for any of the repairs for the engine and other parts replacement. They are saying that the repairs are not related to the recall. I have heard from my dealer and other sources that several of these Rogue engines are failing similar to what mine did. I do not believe Nissan is doing enough to resolve the issue with these cars.

[XXX]- I have a 2024 Nissan Rogue. My car was parked in my garage. Once I pushed the button to start, the back window exploded! Broken glass everywhere. I was the only one in the car. My car has a little over 18,000 miles, and I cannot afford to get it fixed. I have insurance with a $1,000 deductible. I spoke with a dealership in Auburn, Alabama (this is where I live). I emailed pictures, and I am presently waiting for a reply. I have requested that Nissan fix this issue free of charge. I purchased this vehicle as a Nissan Certified Pre-Owned in July 2024 and also purchased an extended warranty. In June 2025, I received notice of the KR engine bearing recall affecting this vehicle. I brought the vehicle to Nissan dealerships three separate times regarding this recall and related concerns, but no repair was performed and I was told to wait because a remedy was not yet available. On January 29th, while driving, the vehicle began shaking severely and white smoke began coming from the tailpipe. There were no warning lights. The vehicle became undrivable and had to be towed to a Nissan dealership. The dealership diagnosed the failure as a failed EGR cooler that allowed coolant into the engine, which they state destroyed the engine and requires a full engine replacement. The dealership is now claiming this is not covered under warranty, recall, or extended coverage. However, the KR engine bearing recall specifically addresses internal engine defects that can lead to overheating, coolant system damage, and engine failure. The EGR cooler failure appears to be secondary damage caused by the known engine defect described in the recall. I had already presented the vehicle multiple times to Nissan for this issue after the recall was announced, and no repair was made. I am now being told I must pay for a full engine replacement on a vehicle with an active engine recall and extended engine warranty coverage, despite having sought service multiple times before the catastrophic failure occurred. I believe this is a direct result of Nissan failing to properly address a known engine defect covered by recall, and I am concerned this represents a broader safety issue for other owners whose engines may fail before Nissan implements a remedy.

See attached document for complaint. PLEASE ADVISE! In August of 2025 we received an important Safety Recall on our 2023 Nissan Rogue Vehicle ------copy enclosed. As of yet our car hasn’t been fixed and having a car with an engine that contains a manufacturing set of defects is alarming. Note------- the letter implied that if the engine fails while driving it--- the result would be loss of power. Can’t tell you our concern of having a crash and engine fire. We contacted our Nissan dealer twice now and was told Nissan Company has not gotten the part needed and how to administer it . This is our third Nissan Vehicle which is paid off. Please don’t make us “get rid” of our vehicle with this problem of worry! It is now as you know November 3, 2025 with no remedy in site. We don’t like traveling on the road knowing what could happen to us and our family at any time. We don’t want to make this a public issue for Nissan but we don’t see any effort from your company. We bought over the years Nissan vehicles as we valued their safety and service. Nissan’s performance is showing failure meeting its standards unacceptable!

My car was sitting in the parking lot at work and the back glass shattered. I called the dealer to see if it was under warranty and they told me no. I called my insurance and they are trying to get it replaced. I put crash wrap on it so I can drive it. I can't see out the back now.

I am reporting a safety defect for my 2021 Nissan Rogue with approximately 140,000 miles. The vehicle has repeatedly overheated, emitted white smoke from the dipstick area and the exhaust, lost coolant, and produced no cabin heat. The engine rattles and shakes. I previously had a recall fixed at Nissan related to the ECU, but these issues persist. I’ve also had regular maintenance on the vehicle and replaced the starter as well. I believe this relates to the known engine defect in these models. I am concerned for my safety and need this addressed.

while driving home, I came to a red light. The rear windshield of the vehicle suddenly exploded then soon shattered without any impact. No prior damage or warning signs were present. This poses a significant safety risk.

- #11714462January 30, 2026FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
The fuel pump and fuel level system appear to be malfunctioning. After refueling, the fuel gauge on the dashboard fluctuates continuously and does not provide a stable or accurate reading. This fluctuation continues for several minutes after pumping gas. The vehicle also struggles to start, requiring multiple attempts before turning on. On multiple occasions, the engine has shut off unexpectedly while the vehicle was in motion. This issue poses a safety risk because the vehicle can stall while driving, which increases the risk of a collision, especially in traffic or at higher speeds. The inaccurate fuel gauge also makes it difficult to determine the actual fuel level, increasing the risk of running out of fuel unexpectedly. The problem has occurred multiple times and is reproducible. The fuel pump and related components are available for inspection upon request. Dealer or independent service center confirmation is UNKNOWN at this time. Inspection by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives is UNKNOWN. Prior to the vehicle shutting off or struggling to start, symptoms included fluctuating fuel gauge readings immediately after refueling and continued erratic gauge behavior while driving. No warning lights are recalled at this time (UNKNOWN).

My car had been parked while I was at work. I was the only person there. I got in the driver's side seat and put my purse in the passenger seat. I heard a lost pop and the back glass exploded in the hatch.
