A/C DOES NOT WORK. THERE IS A ROARING SOUND WHEN THE FAN IS ON "HIGH" BUT LITTLE TO NO AIR IS BLOWING. WHAT LITTLE AIR COMES OUT IS HOT. THE TEMPERATURE IS SET TO 60 DEGREES AND STILL HOT AIR BLOWS. THIS IS MY SECOND SUMMER TO BE WITHOUT ANY AIR CONDITIONER. YOU MAY ACCIDENTALLY GET A FEW MINTUES OF COLD AIR FIRST THING IN THE MORNING BEFORE THE ENGINE GETS HOT AND THEN IT'S GONE. IN THE AFTERNOON YOU DO NOT GET ANY COLD AIR. I SEE MULTIPLE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON MANY WEBSITES. WHEN IS THE NHTSA GOING TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST NISSAN?

Automatic opener for the automatic hatch back. I opened it i was reaching for something in to take something out when the hatch came down onto me. It rested on my back and did not go up. I was alone and had to maneuver myself out of the SUV trunk and had to manually close the hatch. This also happened to my 82 year old husband and the door when pressed to open, it starts UP, then comes down before it fully opens. This has happened more then once. We took the SUV to our dealer who said that we would have to pay for the repairs. Is this a manufacturing flaw or serious accident waiting to happen, or should this be a RECALL. Please advise as we have an appointment May 25, 2021. We have been in Florida for the past 5 months that is why we are just reporting this.

AIR BAGS
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the contact noticed that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed with the passenger’s side seat needing to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact was and informed that the VIN was not under recall. There was no further assistance provided. The failure mileage was approximately 16,109. The consumer stated noticed a safety issue because of the disabled flashing airbag warning light on the dashboard while driving at any speed. The vehicle was taken into a local Nissan dealer where it was diagnosed as a faulty OCS (Occupant classification sensor mat passenger seat bottom) which can cause the air bags to improperly deploy. The owner contacted Nissan and filed a complaint but they refused to provide any assistance, but instead said the owner was responsible for this failure which would entail replacing the entire passenger seat at a cost of almost $3,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 30 mph, the Collision Avoidance System erroneously activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop in the middle of the roadway. During the failure, a second motorist nearly crashed into the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who serviced the vehicle. No additional information was available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 10,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, while driving the vehicle inadvertently decelerated without warning. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 185,000.

POWER TRAIN
I was driving down the tollway at night and alone when my car stopped accelerating but my RPM's went up to 5,000. I managed to pull over and shut it off . Tried again, it would not go. Tried 3 x and it finally went. I shut off the air and drive slowly so I could safely complete my trip. When I went to the Nissan dealer. They told me it was the transmission. That is is a know condition on this model. The service writer actually told me these keep them in business. Apparently the transmission cooler is too small and they overheat. They told want almost $6,000 to repair the vehicle that is probably not even worth that anymore. How can they not have a recall on a know defect? If you google it there are numerous service bulletins yet no recall for repair. I am so disappointed. In this difficult time of our lives I am without a car and left with a huge repair. As of today the car is at the dealer. Jim M'Lady Nissan in Crystal Lake, IL. I do not have the bill, we have just spoke over the phone.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Driving on the highway about 65M mph, the forward emergency system (FEB), read an error message. Immediately the engine brake was activated causing the car to brake. I pulled over in the highway and turn off the engine, ERROR message for the FEB was not showing anymore. However few hours (2 hours) later, the FEB error message displayed again, causing the brake engine to kick in and stop the car. At the red light, when i push the gas to start, the RPM will go up to 6000 and the car won't move. Drivers behind me are at risk to slam my car rear end, because of the sudden braking from the FEB error.

POWER TRAIN
My car has not felt the same in a while. I got it tested by a few mechanics and finally got the answer. Car makes a humming sound and feels like it’s not using all its power. The mechanic told me it’s the transmission is starting to go. As I did more research I’m finding that this is becoming a common problem with Nissan vehicle owners from 2010-2016 especially the 2013 Nissan Rogue. The car only has 68000 miles since we purchased brand new in 2013.I do all it’s regular maintenance requirements.

the car loses power going uphill, or trying to accelerate. Just the other day it RMP just went to 15 miles per hour and had to pull over. I'm told it could be my transmission. I am not sure

EVERY OTHER TIME WHEN I START MY NISSAN IN THE MORNING, THE RED LIGHT FOR THE AIRBAG ON THE DASHBOARD COMES ON. IF I SHUT THE VEHICLE DOWN AND RE-START IT AGAIN AND THE LIGHT GOES AWAY. IF I LET THE LIGHT STAY ON WITHOUT RESTARTING THE VEHICLE AND DRIVE IT, THE LIGHT NEVER GOES AWAY TILL I SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE.

I WAS JUST STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. WHILE SITTING STILL WAITING FOR THE LIGHT, MY CAR BEGAN TO BUCK. AND THEN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. MY CAR ONLY HAS 68,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE IT SERVICED REGULARLY. I TOOK IT DIRECTLY TO MY MECHANIC AND HE THINKS IT'S SOME KIND OF SENSOR PROBLEM. HE RESET THE SENSORS AND TOLD ME IF IT CAME BACK AGAIN TO COME BACK. TODAY I STARTED MY CAR TO DRIVE TO THE GROCERY AND AGAIN I COME TO THE. THE CORNER AND THE BUCKING STARTS. I WANT RIDE HOME. I WILL BE TAKING MY CAR TO THE MECHANIC TOMORROW. ALSO I JUST WANT TO SAY YOUR SITE SAYS MY CAR HAS FIVE RECALLS. AND IT SAYS THAT NONE OF THE RECALLS IS NEEDED AT THIS TIME. I'VE NEVER GOTTEN A RECALL NOTICE FROM NISSAN FOR MY VEHICLE. SO I DON'T KNOW IF THEY'RE REPORTING THAT THEY'RE DOING THESE RECALLS ON MY CAR AND THEY REALLY AREN'T OR WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. MAYBE SOMEONE THERE CAN HELP ME WITH THAT TOO. THANK YOU

ON MULTIPLE OCCURRANCES BEGINNING 5/28/20 WHEN DRIVING OR IDLING ON A HOT DAY WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING OPERATING IN EXCESS OF 40 MINUTES, THE BLOWER REMAINS OPERATIONAL BUT THE AIR FLOW TO THE CABIN SLOWLY REDUCES AND THE TEMPERATURE INCREASES TO A POINT AT WHICH IT EXCEEDS THE EXTERIOR AIR IN BOTH TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY. THIS IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO BREATHE FOR ALL OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE. IT ALSO SOMETIMES CAUSES A FILM OF CONDENSATION TO APPEAR ON THE INTERIOR SURFACE OF THE WINDOWS MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SAFELY NAVIGATE. THIS FILM CANNOT BE REMOVED WITH THE WIPERS BECAUSE IT IS NOT EXTERIOR. THIS HAS OCCURRED MOSTLY DURING THE DAYTIME BUT OCCASSIONALLY AT NIGHT, MOSTLY WHILE MOVING BUT OCCASIONALLY WHILE PARKED. THE DEALERSHIP AND INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE (LIKELY DUE TO INSUFFICIENT DRIVE TIME). THE ISSUE APPEARS TO RESOLVE AFTER THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF FOR SEVERAL (NO LESS THAN 30) MINUTES. THE CABIN AIR FILTER HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE AREA CLEANED OF DEBRIS WITH NO APPRECIABLE CHANGE IN THE ISSUE.
