ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
WHILE DRIVING CAR, a series of malfunctions occur. It has happened a few times and the problem list just keeps adding on. The first time for no reason at all the collision malfunction light turned on, causing the vehicle to slow down and have almost no power. Car was turned off and on then went away. Same thing happened a couple days in a row. Then while driving I noticed when pushing the rear defroster, the back up camera turned on WHILE DRIVING FORWARD..... the traction control light appeared, followed by the collision (AEB) warning malfunction shortly after. During each encounter with this the rear wiper would turn on very slowly. Now following all the engine light is turning on.

Please note that I attempted to report this to Nissan today, but the first call I was hung up on after describing why I was calling and the second call went unanswered. At some point between 01/27/2022 and 01/31/2022, it was reported to me that my vehicle was destroyed by fire. My VIN was verified to be a part of the recent recall regarding salt water entering the driver side floor panel and causing electrical corrosion that could potentially result in fire. I did experience my driver floor board becoming wet, intermittently, after driving in rainy or wet road conditions as was described in the recent recall. The car has been completely destroyed by fire. The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and turned off, the horn was erroneously activated. The horn was silenced after being disconnected by an independent mechanic. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000. It was taken to Douglass Nissan FNA In College Station, Tx for repair. Now it's College Station Nissan.

I purchased my used car 2016 Nissan Rogue from STG AUTO DEALER address 10325 Central Ave Montclair Ca 91763. phone 855-637-1975. engine shakes when Ac is on. The vibration is significant when idling in gear (for example, when stopped at a traffic intersection). The problem increases when AC and Fan is turned on. appointment was scheduled STG SERVICE DEPT. but when i pick up my car from repair. i told them its still shakes. they told me they already change it and its just the way it is and nothing they can do about it. and now a RECALL for 2016 Nisan rouge in my vin number [XXX]. I WENT TO THE DEALER METRO NISSAN 9440 Autoplex Street, Montclair, California 91763 PHONE SERVICE DEPT : (800) 970-0426 . made an appointment & the service advisor told me to call Nissan corporate because there is no fix for my car on my vin number. they cannot help me. so told them that what if something happens to me in this car fire electrical is NISSAN LIABLE FOR MY SAFETY they replied they don't know and they cannot help me, so they had me exit the dealer. so now I'm not on a peace of mind driving this car I finance and I don't feel safe at all. so please Help. The front collision warning and braking system engaged while driving 3+ times, most recently on the highway. This could potentially cause an accident. The dealership has tried to fix this issue but it continues to happen. This is a safety issue for this car.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VISIBILITY/WIPER, BACK OVER PREVENTION: CAMERA SYSTEM
The backup camera periodically freezes when you put the vehicle in reverse. Other times, the screen will stay black or just show the Nissan logo until you cycle power. The safety of all inside the vehicle and around the vehicle is at risk when the backup camera feed freezes, especially if the operator doesn't realize the feed is frozen. This vehicle is currently operated outside of the US but will be available for inspection upon return. The issue is intermittent so it has not been reproduced in the presence of any service center. There were no warning messages involved.

My car vibrates while idling when either air conditioner or heat is on (but only when the car is idling; waiting for light to change and not when moving. When my car was under warranty I reported this to my Nissan service repair mechanic when car was under warranty and was told that was normal. I purchased a car in 2016 and now in 2022 it is still happening. Just need to make sure I’m safe and that car won’t blow up or something. Thank you .

POWER TRAIN
The vehicle is doggy and won't shift. The rpms just keep climbing with no power causing me to be in a high speed limit area slowing down significantly fast as the transmission won't engage, almost getting rear ended.

Rear liftgate stays failed. Liftgate would not stay up. Would come down on head of unsuspecting person using the automatic liftgate. Even if held up, the liftgate would fail. There was no warning--the stays just stopped working. Vehicle has been repaired with new stays by dealer. Each stay cost $535.69 and there were two of them. Total parts and labor was $1246.38.

The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that initially, the engine battery had to be replaced twice after an independent mechanic discovered corroded wiring which had caused her battery to drain. The contact then took the vehicle back to the dealer the vehicle where the vehicle was purchased and had a portion of her wiring repaired. Despite the repair, the contact stated that her backup camera and turn signals failed to operate as needed. The contact also stated that a burning odor would emit from her vehicle without warning. As the failure persisted, she took the vehicle to another independent mechanic where they discovered a leak(location unknown) inside the vehicle which had caused the corrosion and was the source of her electrical failure. While watching the news, the contact heard about NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000(ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) which she linked to her failure. The manufacturer was then notified and she was informed that her vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
