ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The wiring seems faulty. The dash wiring is blinking, surging, and the vehicle won’t start at times. The starting issue is intermittent. Nissan acknowledged a recall on 2014-2016 Nissan Rogue for for having this wiring issue with these same symptoms. However, they are saying that this specific VIN does not have a recall for this wiring issue. Yet, all the symptoms are the same. They want $500 to even consider diagnostic testing rather than just checking for the same issue as all the others that are recalled for the same problem. This is a complete injustice that needs to be addressed.

The contact’s daughter owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the air bag sensor needed to be replaced however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000. The contact stated that the light came on intermittently at first but now it is on all the time. There is no recall on this issue so the contact would have to pay out of pocket for the repairs.

The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated she also experienced the failure while attempting to move off from a traffic light. The contact stated she had experienced the failure ten times. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the CVT transmission to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 106,000.

My cars intake runner control valve needs to be replaced when I am driving my car will beep and say malfunctioning on the dash the power to my car lessons I can push the pedal of my car to the floor and only be going 30 to 40 miles an hour, I tried getting the part from a couple garage is it is on back order a long list of people are waiting for this part Nissan said they don't know when I will be able to get it when it will be back in stock this is a non-safe to be driving a car like this. I can be going down the road in my car will say malfunctioning.

NISSAN SUBFRAME DESIGN IS VERY UNSAFE. THEY HAVE MANUFACTURED A COMMON PROBLEM IN AÑMOST ALLL NISSAN ., THE FRONT SUBFRANE WASHERS ARE HOLD IN THE SUBFRAME UNDER PRESSURE., BAD BAD IDEA THATS NOT SAFE .TIRES AND SUSPENSIN ARE SUBJECT TO MAXIMUN VIBRATION AND HITS BY THE ROAD AND THOSE WASHERS CAN NOT HOLD THOSE IMPACTS. .TIME MAKE LOOK THEM FOOL, DECADENT ,UNSAFE BECAUSE THEY COME OUT OF PLACE ONE BY ONE COME OUT FROM THE SUBFRAME .,THE RESULT IS LOST OF WHEEL CONTROL.,.TRAC SYSTEM ON .,LIMB MODE TRANSMISSIION ACTIVES . I am experiencing the same issues stated in the recent recall. My battery is draining fast, there is corrosive liquid on the left front side of my recently purchased vehicle and there is a white residue on the front outer part of the car. There is also corrosive material on the front brake and on the metal parts of the connection to the front left tire.

The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer had been notified of the recall. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

SERVICE BRAKES
June of 2022 I pressed my brakes and the brakes didn’t respond and went completely to the floor. I had the brakes and rotors replaced and over the next two months it did that 3-4 more times. August of 2022 this intermittent problem became more consistent and I took it to a mechanic, two other mechanics and they could not diagnose the problem since it wasn’t doing it for them. These people suggested I take it to the Nissan dealership. The Nissan dealer also said they couldn’t find anything wrong and bleed the brakes. They indicated that air was present in the brakes. The brakes responded appropriately for one week and began to intermittently not respond and go to the floor again. I had to pump the brakes for the car to stop. I took it back to The Nissan dealer and again they found nothing wrong. Next step was replacing the master cylinder and bled the brakes again. The brakes worked for 8 days before failing again. Over $1000 in work abs the brake are still not consistently working and I feel unsafe not knowing when the car will or will not stop.

The car driver side window door leaks water into the driver side floor near where the legs go. The floor is always wet has Mold on it. Mirror above driver side has mold on it. Seatbelts throughout the car have accumulated mold on them. Behind the driver side that rug is wet soaked as well. The water has traveled to the left side of the vehicle is now getting moist. The trunk never shuts there’s an electrical issue with the wiring. As I drive the trunk opens and shuts not completely but unlatches allowing the trunk to swing open. The electrical issue with the trunk has drained my battery several times. The notification of the door door being open is constantly draining my battery. I have been stranded several times due to this electrical issue. As I drive the steering wheel tilt to the right I cannot control my steering. My steering wheel now looks like it’s out of place it’s like if I try to drive straight the car will go slight right. I have three toddlers who I need to drive to daycare in order to go to work to provide for my family. I do not feel safe driving this car. I went to a Nissan dealership informed them of all these issues in my concerns that I did not feel safe driving this car and they said there was nothing I could do about it unless I paid for the fix. As a consumer defect I do not feel I should be responsible for the manufacture errors

While driving to work passenger airbag light came on and wouldn't shut off, regardless of whether or not a person was sitting there, in addition the airbag warning light on the dash also came on. I took the car to an independent mechanic who told me it was an OCS issue (Code B1018). After a little research I found a recall for this issue on my model car (NHTSA Ref# 08V521000) but my VIN is excluded. Contacted a local dealer and was told it would likely be $2,500 for a new seat cushion. This severely affects any passengers safety in my vehicle and should be addressed by Nissan.

The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled with the check engine warning light and an unknown warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the residence. An independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and stated no failure was found. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer and an unknown software was reprogrammed; however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The contact was informed that two unknown modules might need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 100,000.

Air bag sensor light displayed. Took to the Nissan Dealership and the initial diagnosis was a reset of the sensors. Within a couple days the air bag sensor light displayed again. I took the vehicle back to the Nissan dealer, and was advised that occupant sensor unit failure and both sensors and control unit needed to be replaced. These types of saftey equipment should not fail in a vehicle that is only 5 years old. I read a report that this defect was part of a recall.

The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated upon starting the vehicle, the malfunction warning light was illuminated and the message "AWD error. See owner manual" and "ABS Error" were displayed. The contact stated as she turned off and restarted the vehicle, the warning lights disappeared; however, the failure reoccurred intermittently. The contact stated that the vehicle shut off while it was parked and the oil pressure warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle emitted abnormally loud sounds. The dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was scheduled for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.
