Right when the summer started to reach 100 degree weather, the air conditioner went out on my car. It jas stopped reading the outside air temperature. Nissan I have gotten two different opinions that vary greatly in price and time. After doing some research, I have noticed this is an ongoing problem with 2021 Nissan Rogues. With Nissan being difficult to work with. Nissan states the whole compressor needs to be replaced.

Since I drove it off the lot, the display screen intermittently and frequently blacks out leaving me with no music, no GPS, no cameras, no hands free phone. Dealership says they can’t fix it, Nissan North America says they can”t fix it. So I just spent over $49,000 for a brand new vehicle under warranty that no one can fix and I can’t rely on. Without cameras, I am not comfortable driving this defective vehicle. The other display doesn’t work accurately either. Outside temperature shows 75 degrees when in reality it’s 91 degrees and it also shows I got 68.6 miles per gallon (ha, ha). So I keep wondering what’s next?

The contact stated while driving at various speeds with the cruise control activated, the "Slippery Road" message would appear on the instrument panel even though the contact was not driving in inclement weather. The contact stated that the cruise control function immediately disengaged independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but no failure was found. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,000.

Key FOB and door lock/unlock function failure. Driver side rear door is locked and cannot be unlocked with FOB or manually. In an emergency a passenger in that seat position could be in a life threatening situation. Problem noted on 07/07/2024 (Sunday) and has not been reported to dealership yet. No one has inspected vehicle as of 07/07/2024. There had been one incident a few days previous where driver door would not unlock via FOB or from front passenger lock switch. Door was finally opened by passenger reaching across and hitting door switch on driver side. No warning lamps noted during these events.

The main and most dangerous issue is first hearing high pitch whining/winding sound while driving as the rpm's start to spike and stay high resulting & causing vehicle to lose power and speed for no apparent reason. Subsequently, as you attempt to depress the gas pedal to increase speed to try to mitigate the issue, the vehicle continues to lose power and speed regardless of how depressed gas pedal is (even completely depressed to floorboard). Within seconds vehicle is forced to a stop from lack of power and acceleration and will not continue to drive at all. This issue is nothing less than terrifying and incredibly dangerous especially while on the freeway with heavy traffic speeding and whizzing past you at 70+ mph. If this is happening to people at night, it's only a matter of time before someone will be killed by the speeding and oblivious traffic coming from behind if that has not already occurred. I was travelling with my child and our dog in the back and wonder would have happened if I couldn't have merged into the slower lanes in heavy traffic and off to the shoulder to "safety." What will happen to a family in the fast lane that is not able to merge to safety or when they find themselves forced and stuck in the middle of the freeway between the median and the fast lane?? In addition, upon starting, vehicle will also idle higher than normal and stay high with slight fluxuation even while in park. While driving, rpm's continue to spike with every gear shift and vehicle is slow to respond and keep up with desired speed and will continue to worsen as time progresses. The longer the drive, the more (tired) and sluggish it seems with both lack of response, lack of power, and lack of speed. First signs of issue were while idling at stoplights, vehicle will shake and seem to idle very low as if going to die while at idle. There is also a noticeable shake while driving especially at higher speeds with this problem remaining and lasting the duration of drive.

I was driving on [XXX], close to [XXX] but my lights ( engine and tire were on ),when suddenly I lost the control and I hit on the wall. The steering wheel was a little hard and the mechanic told me my CATALYST wasn't good( engine and tire sensor aren't working correctly ). I thought it was my last day because that freeway is a little hight. I imaged my car flying. ALSO I HAVE 1 ACCIDENT . I CRASHED ONE CAR BUT IT WASNT MY BLAME. The car lost the control. The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle shook momentarily and then stalled. Additionally, the contact stated that two messages were displayed “Warning – Malfunction” and a “Warning - Chassis System Control Error”. The vehicle was able to restart after several attempts and depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, after restarting the vehicle and driving below 20 MPH, the vehicle began shaking and lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the same parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the ABS, wheel bearing, mass air flow sensor, and sway bar links needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

There is a very strong odor of gas that I can smell inside the cabin and fuel consumption is at an all time high.I drove on a full tank less than 100 miles and it was on empty. The storing gas odor is concerning and Nissan refuses to address or fix.

I am the 2nd owner of a 2011 Nissan Rogue purchased in 2016. I have had four problems with the vehicle, the major one being the transmission that will not cool and overheats as soon as the temperature goes up. With the most recent heat wave, I have experienced no power going to the wheels. I had no power steering and had to push my car off the road with a friend with in the car. I also experienced a short in the system where it had no power at all and seemed to have no battery power, it clearly is an electrical short. The fourth issue is the passenger seat airbag. I have never received any notice from Nissan about any of these issues since I purchased the car used in 2016. When I called today, I was told that there were no recalls on my car and hung up on by Nissan America. I clearly saw four recalls that had been issued over the years on all four of these issues. I drive for the elderly, homeless, homebound and other persons in need in my community and have done so since I was 14 years old. I am a good citizen and have gone out of my way to try to make things right and just for all people. I am appalled at the conduct and behavior that I received on the phone today. I understand that my car is older but I would have returned my car for service if I had received a recall of which I received none. I know for fact that the recall for the transmission came out in 2016 and should have covered my car. I cannot take care of the people and continue with what I do in my community without a working car. I cannot afford a new car and surely do not deserve such disrespect.

I was driving and suddenly the gas pedal gave out my vehicle never shut off but would not accelerate even with trying to floor the pedal. Then it jolted off into traffic and the gas pedal went right back out within 45 seconds and glided into a parking spot. It took me 3 hrs to find a mechanic to come to me because it was after business hours and there were NO LIGHTS on the dash and engine was running extremely quiet code P0776 was what his computer said and nissan dealers and other mechanics all are saying I need a new transmission. The vehicle is jolting on and off coming out of parking spots hesitant on acceleration. Another mechanic didn't pull up any new codes just previous codes and as I've said there has never been a light on my dash and I get regular fluid changes filters tires etc, I was told the alternator is losing voltage it should be at 14 or better and mines was at 13. I don't even know where to begin seeing as though there are no lights ever on my dash and I've had my truck for almost 4 years and now it's a guessing game.
