SummaryWhite Paint Delamination Warranty Extension Dealer Notification On October 17, 2019, Nissan distributed a dealer announcement notifying dealers of a proposed class action settlement (Nelson v. Nissan North America, Inc., Case No. 3:17-cv-01114 (M.D. Tenn.)), concerning paint peeling on Nissan Rogue vehicles. The announcement provided a copy of notices sent to affected owners. A court hearing occurred on December 19, 2019 and the proposed settlement was approved by the presiding court for owners of pearl white Nissan Rogues produced between January 11, 2013 and April 23, 2013. Owners of eligible vehicles will receive a notification of the settlement from the third party settlement administrator indicating their eligibility for the following: ï· - Warranty extension of 48 months and unlimited miles to their current 36 month/36,000 mile new vehicle limited warranty for a total of 84 months/unlimited mile warranty coverage for the pearl white paint for delamination ï· - The paint warranty extension will allow for a one-time full vehicle repaint (subject to a customer copayment) ï· - Eligible owners can also obtain coverage for rental car ($400 max) arising from the repaint ï· - Eligibility for Nissanâs Vehicle Purchase Program (A-Plan) until April 30, 2020. SummaryEngine Control Module (ECM) Reprogram California Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on approximately 104,221 specific Nissan vehicles identified in Service Comm and currently registered to owners in the state of California to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) in the event that a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) for P0448, P0101, P2008, or P0087 is recorded in the ECM. Due to calibration errors on the affected vehicles, the ECM may improperly store a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) even though the emissions on-board diagnostic system is functioning properly. As of July 1, 2019 the State of California has implemented a revised Inspection Maintenance (I/M) or âSmog Checkâ test program. Without the software update, the subject vehicles may not pass this Smog Check test in those areas of California where such testing is required under state law. This incident has no effect on the safety, performance, drivability, or fuel consumption of the applicable vehicles. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. ï· P9328 â Affected Model Year 2015 ï· P9343 â Affected Model Year 2016 ï· P9345 â Affected Model Year 2017 ï· P9347 â Affected Model Year 2018 ï· P9349 â Affected Model Year 2019 2. ACTION 1. Remove all snow, water, and debris from the blower motor inlet, cowl area, and where the blower motor mounts. 2. Clean or replace the blower motor as needed. 3. If the blower motor does not work on all speed settings, replace the variable blower control (fan resistor). 4. If not already equipped: Install the cowl and wiper pivot filters listed in PARTS INFORMATION on the last page of this bulletin.

SummaryWhite Paint Class Action Owner Notification Dealer Notification In October, owners of white Nissan Rogues produced between January 11, 2013 and April 23, 2013, will receive a notice from a settlement administrator informing them of the terms of a proposed class action settlement. The settlement, if approved by the presiding court, could extend the warranty on the paint for four years and provide a one-time full vehicle repaint (subject to a copay). Eligible owners can also obtain coverage for any reasonable and necessary rental car coverage arising from the repaint, or reimbursement of amounts previously incurred for a one-time repaint and any reasonable and necessary rental car services arising from the repaint. The settlement also provides for eligibility in Nissanâs Vehicle Purchase Program. To be clear, unless and until the proposed settlement is approved by the presiding court, there is no warranty extension or other remedy and you should proceed with paint-related claims in the ordinary course. The proposed settlement, and the associated potential warranty extension, include many terms and conditions. Rather than attempting to address questions about the proposed settlement terms from customers, Nissan recommends dealers refer customers to the website listed below. This will enable owners to receive information from appropriate sources and avoid providing incorrect and/or incomplete information to customers. The website is currently live and available to inquiring customers. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. No action is necessary at this time.
