The steering assist randomly pulls to the left when turned on. The dealership did replace the front struts and realign the vehicle, but the issue was never resolved. We manually turned the feature off.

Premature front brake rotor failure casing a pulsating brake pedal and humming when applying brake pedal. Brake pedal feels to fade when first applying the brake pedal. Issue is not "covered" under manufacture warranty due to the items being classified as a wear and tear item per manufacturer even though it’s a defect.

Intermittent seatbelt warning while displaying while driving vehicle. The seatbelt warning was displayed stating that a seatbelt was unbuckled while driving. Drivers side seatbelt buckle, and rear center seatbelt buckle was replaced.

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the brake rotors shuddered violently and the vehicle hesitated to respond, causing a 50 ft. stopping distance delay. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the rotors were corroded; however, the mechanic could not duplicate the failure. The failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the same information was provided. The contact stated while driving 55-60 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the failure reoccurred, and the vehicle nearly crashed into a vehicle that was at a 2ft. distance. The driver assist mode engaged and the steering wheel started shuddering. The contact was able to prevent the vehicle from crashing and continuously applied tremendous pressure to the brake pedal until the vehicle stopped. There was a 100ft. stopping distance delay. The contact was able to continue driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brake rotors were extremely worn, and the brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced; however, the parts were on a national backorder. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The manufacturer later informed the contact that no assistance would be provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 4,400.

The vehicle was not repaired. There were no warning lights illuminated. The manufacturer was contacted and declined the claim. The manufacturer provided no additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated while driving 75 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated to 30 MPH. Additionally, the transmission intermittently failed to shift to reverse and inadvertently to park(P) while driving at slow speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer replaced the brakes and the front and rear bumper sensors; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact filed a Lemon Law claim. The failure mileage was approximately 15,686.

Brand new 2023 pathfinder shuts off while driving. Car will turn off completely on the highway, while getting close to a light or trying to park. Once car is restarted it turns on again fine. One time the car did go crazy on the panel and it was fuzzy. The dealer has checked the car 3 times and keeps saying there’s no issue.

I was stopped at an intersection red light. One vehicle was in front of me. I had the Auto Hold activated. After stopping, I removed my foot from the brake pedal. The light was still red when my vehicle suddenly lunged forward (I did NOT put my foot on the gas pedal) and hit the vehicle in front of me. Fortunately, it was a truck with a hitch on the rear. There was no damage to the other vehicle, but the hitch went into the lower grill of my vehicle, causing damage to the grill and to the sensor located behind the grill. I reported the incident to Nissan and they sent a rep to run diagnostic tests on my vehicle. I requested a copy of the report and am NOT at all satisfied with what I received or was told. The person that I have been in touch with about this has not been willing to proceed with any further explanation of the report. Her name is [XXX] and the case is #[XXX]. I am concerned that this incident is a safety hazard. Please let me know what step(s) I can proceed with now. Thank you. The drivers and passenger seats in front are extremely low and can barely see over dash. Drivers side is at its highest with controls. Passenger seat does not adjust. Seems that it is a safety issue if in accident. Head would hit dash. These seats should be raised up.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Water spilled onto console because cup the Lid was not sealed properly. The shifter became inoperable. The components around the cup hold need to be protected from water damage. As this is a safety issue. ESPECIALLY if it causes the car to not shift into gear? What if the spill happened at a stop light/intersection/railroad crossing for goodness sakes. And you can't freaking MOVE the car. (See my previous pictured post from another person). This smells of lawsuit in the "just right but HORRIFIC circumstances"

SUSPENSION, WHEELS
I was driving down a newly built road at 48 mph and all of a sudden it sounded like something was coming apart at the front right end of my vehicle. Everything sloped that way and then I was jerked to the right straight into a curb and then I hear a big boom. My psi went to 0 in my right front tire and I tried to steer left but I couldn't. My back end went into the air about 2-3 feet. I finally came to a stop on the side of the road about .3 miles from where the issue started. I was lucky I did not veer into traffic because I could not control my vehicle. After gathering myself and calling the police I got out of my vehicle to find that my front right wheel assembly fell apart. The officer and I searched thoroughly to find that I did not hit anything. The bolt was missing from one of my control arms. My wheel was turned sideways going east and west instead of North and South. I had the vehicle towed to a Nissan dealer and it has been a nightmare. The tech that is not certified or does not have the devices to make the call if it was a technical failure says that he has been told by the regional corp rep to let him no if he can locate a part that seems to be the issue. The dealer tech couldn't see anything so the regional corp tech will not come and take a look at my vehicle. My insurance has deemed it a mechanical failure and they are waiting for the results of Nissans diagnostic test which is not happening because the regional rep won't come and take a look at the car. There is no body damage except for where the front right wheel was pushed into the front right quarter panel.

LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Using Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), and when entering a highway curve, the lane keeping assistance did not kick in. Car began to swerve out of lane. My hands were on the steering wheel and I was able to maintain control of the vehicle, but had there been cars or trucks in either right or left lanes (I was in the middle lane), there could have been a major accident and/or loss of life.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Fuel door does not lock. It does not lock when the car is locked by security system, and it does not lock when car is in motion. Car does not have to be turned off at gas station to unlock fuel door. There is no mechanism to keep the fuel door locked. There is no gas cap to cover nozzle entry point so at any point, gas tank can be tampered with. Fuel door pops open in car washes and water can enter the fuel tank. VERY UNSAFE.

Passenger seat is too low/not equal to driver’s seat. Driver’s seat has 10-way functions including raising the seat up and down. Passenger seat does not. My wife can’t see over the hood clearly and there may be an accident where she might hit the dashboard or the airbags might injure her when triggered because the seat is too low. In fact, she sits on a separate seat cushion which is ridiculous.

I own a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. Front passenger seat is so poorly designed for people at or under 5'2". This seat should have designed just like the driver side seat, meaning it should also move up and down. My wife almost hit her fore ahead few times. She stopped sitting in the front seat because of the low seat position. i also heard from other people. I called the Nissan dealer but unsuccessful to make them listen to this issue. NHTSA should look into this poorly designed front passenger seat issue before people get hurt. Thanks.

The sunroof is leaking water. There has been no accidents or damage to the car. I previously took the car to fix the problem on 08/29/2022 Auto Nation Nissan Miami. They told me they had 6 pathfinders with the same problem for the same make and model and year. A few days later they told me they fixed the problem, however this is not the case as there is still a leak in the roof.
