  Brake Fluid Flush Voluntary Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan is committed to customer satisfaction. Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Service Campaign to flush the brake fluid, install new DOT 4 brake fluid, and inspect the Antilock Brake System (ABS) actuator on specific 2009 Nissan Murano vehicles. If the ABS actuator does not pass the inspection after the system has had the brake fluid flushed and upgraded, dealers will replace the ABS brake actuator. A new brake fluid cap with DOT 4 fluid specifications will be installed and an owner?s manual update will be provided to the customer. The ABS actuators manufactured during this time period are potentially susceptible to a chemical reaction between the valve surface coating and the DOT 3 brake fluid, which in rare instances, may cause a gel to form around the normally closed valve and in some cases cause it to stick open. As a result, brake fluid pressure may fluctuate and the customer may experience increased brake pedal travel (soft brake pedal). ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm I.D. P8305. 2. Dealers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use NTB18-025 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

  VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2009 MURANO BRAKE FLUSH INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting a Service Campaign on certain specific MY2009 Nissan Murano vehicles to remove the DOT 3 brake fluid from the brake system and replace it with new DOT 4 brake fluid. In rare instances, the ABS actuator may need to be replaced. This Service Campaign will be performed at no charge to the affected customers for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number P8305 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a dealer?s inventory.

  NISSAN; SERVICE INFORMATION FOR DTCS B2EF0 AND B130C This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with Telematics. SERVICE INFORMATION Diagnostic information in the Electronic Service Manuals (ESM) for the following DTCs may be missing or incorrect: -B2EF0 ? INTERNAL BATTERY (CIRC VOLT BELOW THRESHOLD) -B130C ? TCU (Telematics Control Unit) PAIRING ERROR If one of these DTCs is stored, follow the steps listed below along with the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) to compete the required repairs. DTC B2FE0 ? INTERNAL BATTERY (CIRC VOLT BELOW THRESHOLD): 1. Start the engine and let it idle for 30 minutes (to allow charging of the TCU internal battery). -2018 LEAF only: Put the vehicle in Ready to Drive mode (depress the brake pedal and depress the power [?ignition?] switch) for 30 minutes. 2. Verify the DTC can be erased. 3. If the DTC will not erase, replace the TCU. DTC B130C: 1. Collect all keys, and then re-register them to the vehicle. 2. Verify the DTC can be erased. 3. If the DTC will not erase, replace the TCU. NOTE: The related Electronic Service Manuals (ESM) will be updated at a later date. CLAIMS INFORMATION Refer to the current Nissan Warranty Flat Rate Manual and submit a claim for the repairs performed.

SERVICE INFORMATION If the following ICC/ADAS codes are stored, make sure to follow the diagnostic procedures in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) before replacing any parts. C1A03 ?   NISSAN; INTELLIGENT KEY INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE STOPS OR WILL NOT CONTINUE SERVICE INFORMATION When the initialization procedure being performed with a new or existing Intelligent Key to an applied vehicle is interrupted (the procedure stops or will not continue), the BCM may be left in learn mode and will not function until it returns to normal mode. Under this condition, the BCM and Intelligent Key(s) will not function normally. If this condition occurs, the BCM must be returned to normal mode and the initialization procedure started over. To get back to the beginning of the Initialization procedure, use one of the following procedures: - Successfully perform the initialization procedure using one of the original Intelligent Keys twice consecutively. - Each successful initialization will follow with two (2) quick tones. OR - When the initialization procedure cannot be successfully performed twice (more than two quick tones), perform the initialization procedure five (5) times using the inoperative ?failed? Intelligent Key. - Initialization does not need to be successful when performed five times. When returning to normal operating mode, the initialization procedure for all Intelligent Keys may be started again.

  NISSAN; INTELLIGENT KEY IDENTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION TIPS This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with Intelligent Key only. SERVICE INFORMATION When replacing or adding an Intelligent Key, it is very important to make sure the correct Intelligent Key is selected from the parts department. - A running change was made that will help identify the correct Intelligent Key. - Beginning in late 2017 and early 2018 the last five digits of the Intelligent Key part number is marked on the Intelligent Key under the mechanical key. - See page 2 for location images of this part number addition. NOTE: - A correct Intelligent Key may or may not have the last five digits of the part number as shown on page 2. - The above running change was applied as a ?help? to identify the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle, but the actual part number listed in the parts catalog did not change. - Make sure to use the electronic parts catalog (FAST) or equivalent to confirm the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle.
