SummaryComplaint In the instrument cluster, the symbol for "12 V battery" and the message "Switch on vehicle" may sporadically be displayed. As a consequence of this, the fault codes B1FCB97 (=> N73/3) and U116000 (=> N73/3*1) are stored in the fault memory. In the subsequent analysis of the 12 V on-board electrical system data, the following parameters are noteworthy (see picture 1 in the attachment): • Charge balance negative when stationary. • Interior CAN bus is awake for an unusually long time while the vehicle was locked. • 12 V battery SOC (state of charge) during subsequent engine start is 45% or less. NOTE: This LI does not apply if the CEL was reported as being on without a 12V message. Once the 12 V battery SOC has exceeded 50% for the first time, the symbol and the message in the instrument cluster disappear again. Cause The door control unit (N69/x) may sporadically keep the interior CAN bus awake. Remedy Update the software and coding on all 4 door control units (N69/1, N69/2, N69/3 and N69/4): • To do so, a commissioning process must be started in the door control unit, left-hand front door (N69/1). The remaining door control units (N69/2, N69/3 and N69/4) are commissioned at the same time, in an automated process.( Path: Xentry Scope; Control Units View; TSG-XX (N69/1); Adaptations; Commissioning) • The repair software has been available since 02.02.2024 and the new SCN coding since 04.06.2024. • The measures are only 100% effective if the combination of "Repair software + new SCN coding" is used. SW item numbers of the repair software: • A2069020310 for the door control units on the front doors (N69/1 and N69/2) • A2069020410 for the door control units on the rear doors (N69/3 and N69/4)

SummaryComplaint Noticeable vibrations at the steering wheel: • At speeds between 40mph and 75mph • On straight stretches of road and in long corners • With driver assistance systems switched on Cause Control oscillations in the electric power steering. Remedy Perform software update of electric power steering (N68). Note: Please ensure newest Xentry release software is installed and all addons are updated. After the software update, teach in the steering limitations of the electric power steering again: 1. Start engine 2. Turn steering wheel all the way to the left and briefly hold at the steering limitation 3. Turn steering wheel all the way to the right and briefly hold at the steering limitation 4. Perform a test drive in which you drive at approx. 5-10 km/h in an "8" shape, alternately turning the steering wheel to the steering limitations on the left and right. If vibrations can still be felt following the software update: 1. Connect XENTRY and select control unit N68 - Electric power steering (ES) 2. Switch to the "Adaptations" menu item, then under the "Teach-in processes" item, run the "Special function" in full. With this function, parameters of the software are adapted to reduce vibrations in the steering wheel. If vibrations continue to occur in the steering wheel despite this action, please create a TIPS case.

SummaryIn our continuing efforts to assure the proper performance of Mercedes-Benz products and to enhance the satisfaction of our customers, Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC ("MBUSA") is extending the warranty coverage on the HV Refrigerant Compressor & Condenser in certain Model Year ("MY") vehicles listed below from the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years/50,000 miles to 15 years/150,000 miles, whichever occurs first, due to the following condition: The copper wire winding in the HV refrigerant compressor might corrode over time and could cause the battery management system to diagnose a lower insulation resistance leading to an insulation error. Due to the physical connection of the HV refrigerant compressor to the HV electrical system, the insulation error would trigger a fault in the entire HV electrical system. A warning message may be displayed (e.g., battery symbol with text malfunction, without restarting engine - visit workshop, towing prohibited see owner's manual) in the instrument cluster. Both electric and combustion engine driving is possible. However, if the driver ignores the visit workshop without restarting a message and switches off the vehicle, it would no longer be able to start.
