Recently I was driving and heard a knocking/creaking noise in the left rear. When braking I felt as though I was going to lose control of the vehicle...vehicle appeared to fishtail and pull to the left. I first noticed it on [XXX] when I was driving on the highway in excess of 60 MPH. On [XXX] I brought it to my mechanic (Genesee Auto Repair, 40 Liberty Street, Salem, NH (603)898-1899) and my mechanic informed me that the left rear subframe had rotted out and told me that I should not be driving the car. I was taking my son to work and I heard my sunroof open and close when the controls were not being touched . I’m afraid if it opens and it closes on its own that it could fly off my car and hit someone else’s car and possibly injure some one .

Front Stationary Sunroof Panel (between the windshield and the sunroof) deteriorating and cracking in the middle. I've read about a recall on previous year models that will extend to this year model or even further year but waiting on this recall to reach my vin number. I've seen same model year in other states have this issue resolved with the recall update in Feb 2024. This is related to the NHTSA Recall ID: 23V854.

Panel between front windshield and sun/moon roof was vibrating loose as well as the clear coat completely peeling off the piece. The car is only at 57k miles so this should NOT be occurring. That piece felt like it will fly off while driving. Unsafe.

I received a warning that my left front headlight was not working. I took the car to my dealer to have the light replaced. I was told that because this is an LCG assembly the entire assembly unit needed to be replaced and the cost would be $3,500.

The contact owns a 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, an abnormal rumbling noise was detected. The vehicle had hesitated to start. The engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the timing chain tensioner needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.

Cylinder head is defective. Service advisor told me it was a known issue in which exhaust valves within cylinder head are prone to premature wear. If left unaddressed it leads to inevitable engine failure. I was quoted $12,000. My car is 2020 model year with not even 60,000. Barely even 4 years old.

The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that while his girlfriend was driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The vehicle independently pulled to the left and crossed the yellow line into the direction of oncoming traffic. The vehicle was almost involved in a head-on collision due to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, however the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was informed that the repair would not be covered under warranty. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed with a fractured subframe and that the subframe needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The contact was informed that the repair could not be covered under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery cable needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that an update to the powertrain software was needed, and the transmission pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The contact called the local dealer, and it was recommended that the transmission be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

Check engine light on on 2017 Mercedes C300 4 Matic. Car has 52,000 miles on it. The code P052E71 was diagnosed by Mercedes mechanic as the valve for the crankcase ventilation. The actuator was blocked. Mechanic said part (crankcase ventilation hose) is not available and this problem happens to all 2015-2017 C 300 models usually around 50,000 miles. When air conditioning or heat is run it causes an odor of burning fuel or oil in the cabin. Mercedes said part is not in stock and they have no ETA on when it will be available. Vehicle is unable to pass vehicle emissions test.

the check Engine light fault code P012D12 The pressure sensor upstream of the turbocharger had a short circuit to positive. Found Kink wire on upstream pressure sensor. A short circuit to positive. Electrical Wire replaced.
