FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
The front bumper sensor has stopped working. This is preventing proper function of the forward collision warning and the parking collision warning. I took this to be fixed to Executive Kia of Wallinford, CT and they identified corrosion of the component as the cause of the failure. My car has had no accidents or damage to bumper so any corrosion is due to improper sealing of part, or weather proofing of bumper. An online search identified many other Kia owners dealing with this same issue. My extended warranty through Fidelity Inc sent out an inspector to review this and they are refusing to cover the cost of the fix since it is due to "corrosion." Including photos my Kia dealer mechanic sent me of the corrosion.

The contact owns a 2022 Kia Telluride. The contact stated that while the vehicle was idle and in park(P) in the driveway, the vehicle jerked forward while his wife was in the front driver seat. As the contact's wife checked the gear shifter, the vehicle suddenly accelerated and crashed into the contact's garage door without warning. The garage door, garage rail, and garage opener were all damaged as a result of the crash. The air bags did not deploy upon impact; there were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The manufacturer was immediately notified of the failure and a case was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.

Car was being driven when it began to slow down. Pulled over and smoke was coming from under the car. Car would not start again. Once at dealership, found there was catastrophic engine failure due to a rod that put 7 holes in the engine. Also, car was low on oil despite an oil change less than 60 days prior to this incident.

I don’t ever use my sunroof but noticed it was slightly open bc I saw light coming through. I tried to close it and it came off it’s track on one side. Given that the vehicle has had several recalls having to do with electronic features causing fires, I worry about this issue causing a fire. Also, it’s unsafe to drive during a storm.

My entire instrument cluster/dashboard display is blank. I cannot see my speed, how fast I am going, collision warnings, if my lights are on, etc. I have called the dealership, and they indicated there is no active recall. They said they cannot diagnose and fix the issue for a month. This is a major safety issue, since I have no indication of my speed or gas or anything else. It is all controlled by the dash that is blank.

The wind deflector/bug guard on the sunroof broke and pieces from the broken mechanism proceeded to lodge themselves throughout the track of the sunroof causing the entire track system to break/malfunction. There are several screws that were snapped from the plastic track, which then left the sunroof glass “bouncing” and unsecured on the car. If this was not noticed prior to hitting the highway or driving with any sort of speed I am confident the sunroof would have shattered causing a hazards for myself and children in the vehicle or flown off the car causing a hazard to others on the road. The car is currently at a KIA dealership being looked at, to which they suggested this because it’s becoming more and more “common”. Additionally it is not a cheap fix, quoted just under $4000 for parts and labor. Absolutely no warning lights or indicators stating the sunroof was “open” or malfunctioning. Even once it was no longer attached to the track/bracket system it was not triggering the light indicating it was open like it does normally and with all other doors/windows.

I was hit on driver side and no side airbags deployed. The collision cause over $16k in damage to my vehicle. There is no reason side airbags should not have delivered and if my child was in the car on the passenger side he would have slammed his head on glass.

We were driving down Hwy 321 going approximately 65 mph and the sunroof just exploded. There were no other vehicles close for it to be hit my a rock. It sounded like a gunshot and glass went everywhere. Very dangerous and scary!

I was driving my 2024 KIA Telluride when the sunroof just exploded outward. It was very load and luckily I had the sunroof cover closed so no glass came inside the car. Talked with Wilde KIA in Waukesha and they said this was not covered under the warrantee and there where no recalls or safety bulletins regarding this issue. I looked online and there were numerous people that had experienced the same problem.

The contact owns a 2024 Kia Telluride. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 24V214000 (Power Train) and 24V407000 (Seats); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle, the vehicle started rolling backwards while the contact and spouse were standing outside of the vehicle securing their children in the rear seats. The contact’s spouse quickly jumped into the vehicle to activate the parking brake to stop the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer was contacted where the vehicle had remained for approximately 2 1/2 months. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.

Driving down a 2-lane highway doing less than 60 mph, the wind from the oncoming semi-truck shattered the sunroof glass. This caused us to have to drive hundreds of miles home with water, wind and broken glass in our car with 3 children who were 6 years old and younger. I contact Kia Corporate compliants directly while the car was in the shop for several weeks and they said because it was already fixed there was nothing they could do.

I have a 2022 Kia Telluride with 3 "urgent" recalls. Unfortunately, I am in the military and stationed overseas. The local Kia dealer cannot view the recalls in their system. We contacted a Kia dealer in our US home state, and they told us they cannot provide the parts or work to be conducted without the vehicle being in the US. As it stands, we cannot ship the vehicle back to the US when we move as there are recalls on the vehicle. We have an expensive paperweight and no clear path to fix the issues.

Rear windshield spontaneously shattered. Turned on vehicle and shifted from park and as I pulled forward I heard a pop a noticed my whole back windshield just completely shattered. Didn't hit anything or nothing was thrown. Initially looked thought someone may have hit with something or thrown a rock when parked to explain the damage, but security footage does not indicate any such activity and confirmed with police.

Tonight I tried to open my sunroof for some fresh air while relaxing in my vehicle. My sunroof made some weird cracking noises and is jammed open. I only used my sunroof 2 to 3 times. However, it's in the stuck position and sounds like crushing glass when I try to open it. My rear right passenger folds down on its own. My grandson has been folded into the seat multiple times. I contact kia and got no resolution. This is dangerous. I went to retrieve my backpack from my backseat yesterday and when I set the sear back it made a auto sound, it slid completely forward hitting me in my face. The seat ejects by itself often and it a safety risk to my family and i. I checked kia forums only to find this is an huge issue and spoked about hundreds of times involving telluride and Sorento models. I'm afraid my sunroof glass with break.
