I am experiencing coolant leaks possibly due to head gasket or engine bolt malfunction. I have received and extended warranty letter from kia but the dealers are saying kia has not provided a solution. The extended warranty is for 15 year/180,000 miles. I am currently at 172,000 miles and am concerned by the time a solution is provided to the dealer i will be out of the warranty period.

UNKNOWN Issues and recall have came up on my vehicle telling me I’m not allowed to drive or even have other use vehicle. This is stopping me going to work and making me lose money every month paying for a car that doesn’t operate. I’ve took it to shop and they notice the recall can’t be fixed due to remedy not being made yet but I’ve waited close to over a year now and I don’t want to lose job and just bought this car from dealer not long ago

Manufacturer failed to honor repair of seriously damaged engine due to a faulty distribution in oil causing a major engine failure. KIA USA Manufacturer is currently under massive lawsuits due to this issue and which involved the model we purchased. Vehicle has very low mileage of 85085 and should be covered under the manufacturer's warranty of 100,000 miles. Manufacturer claims they declined our claim because we failed to attend to a massive genetic form mailed to all owners in 2018. As a consumer we are simply asking they honor the warranty and replace and/or fully repair the damaged engine in our family SUV.

Complete engine failure. Palmen Kia of Kenosha mechanics say it is an ongoing issue with this type of engine that Kia is fully aware of and that it should be covered by the factory Powertrain warranty but the company refuses to fix it. I also own an additional extended warranty through Educator’s Credit Union which won’t fix it for me.

The paint on the hood and roof have been peeling and metal is now exposed. There appears to be a primer or paint defect. This occurred 4 years into owning the vehicle. Kia connect and dealership refuse to do anything since they said paint warranty is only for 3 years or 36,000 miles. But this is negligence from the manufacturer.

As I was backing into my driveway on Thursday 1/18/2024 @ 5:25 pm. I was on my way home from work. As I was backing into my driveway I lost power, the ABs and the MIL light both came on, the abs went off but the MIL began to flash and I lost all power in the car. I shut it off immediately and we pushed my car the rest of the way into the driveway. I had received a KIA Safety recall notice that said if this happens, Call KIA, immediately to request a tow to the nearest Authorized dealership. Was told they cannot perform this task and that I need to wait till tghe figure out the recall before they will help me. I have no vehicle to get back and forth to work now and KIA is refusing to help me.

Head bolts come lose causing head gaskets to leak. Vehicle is losing coolant internally. My safety is at risk for now I have no vehicle to drive to get me to and from work, in order to afford food and housing, causing me to have a poor mental state, of which may or may not have a negative effect on my well-being. Poor design and quality is to blame and a large corporation such as Kia needs to be held accountable. I have no idea what other domino effects this poor design may have on other engine parts/failures. The contact is respectfully asking for this complaint to be listed as part of the investigation PE23019.

Lost power on the freeway, flashing check engine light. Dealership said my fuel injectors failed causing my engine to fail. At 133k miles the car needs its second new motor. It is currently at Phil Long Kia in Colorado Springs waiting a voluntary repossession as I cannot see paying 10k for repairs on a vehicle that has such obvious defects

At times vehicle hesitates or doesn't responses when accelerator is pushed. Has occurred several times when moving into traffic from a yield lane or stop. Fortunately it hasn't lead to an accident but was very scary. Researching this problem on-line, this has been reported by many Sorento owners. This is an intermittent problem and when vehicle is taken to the dealer they report they can not duplicate problem so nothing is done. By the shear numbers of owners reporting the same issue, something needs to be corrected.

The car engine died while I was driving on the highway. When the car started decelerating there was no place to pull over. Fortunately, I was able to make it to the right lane and exit on a toll ramp before the vehicle completely stopped. Unable to restart the car. Had it towed to the closest dealership. MIDTOWN KIA, 4747 SOUTH YALE AVENUE, TULSA, OK 74135 (918) 622-3160 The Dealer determined that the engine was faulty due to a recall issue - Warranty Extension [XXX] Insurance Company referred us to KIA Corporation for Warranty Coverage On the day of engine dying there was a rattling noise prior to the incident. My car cut off on a major highway on 12/13/2023, but luckily i was able to pull off an exit. My car stalled and wouldn't crank. Called someone out who did a diagnostic and said it was for my knock system(P1326).I was able to get it home and black smoke was coming from my tail pipe. I haven't driven the car since then. I went to Kia on 1/15/2024 to get recalls done and also inquire about my check engine light. Kia never did a diagnostic test for the check engine light. They only did recalls and sent me on my way. I called Kia and made another appointment to get a diagnostic test done on 1/20/24 and then i was told that i would need an engine replacement and my warranty doesn't cover it. Then he gives me a printout of codes which states pending and told me that p1326 code didn't show so therefore it's not covered. He tells me that it's a blockage on cylinder 4. I told him when i came to you a few days ago, i asked about my check engine light and i was ignored. Upon pulling out of Kia parking lot, i noticed a large cloud of black smoke that i didn't originally see when i brought it in and it was so cloudy that other cars had to stop because they was unable to see. Luckily i got it back home and parked it cause it's very unsafe for me to drive even tho Kia saying i can still drive it. My car burns a lot of oil even tho i don't really drive cause i work from home but evidently, every time i get oil checked it's always low so i was getting it topped-off every other month and was told by a mechanic that Kia engines burns a lot of oil and the engines no good and now look, i'm needing a new engine and i just purchased this car in 2020 and i see it's been so many services done to it before i purchased itMy car only gets up to 50mph since the engine light came on so prefer not to drive it anymore.
