The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Patriot. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would shut off without warning. The vehicle had been taken to an independent mechanic; however, the mechanic could not diagnose the failure due to the lack of a warning; they have also tried to duplicate the failure but was unsuccessful. The dealer was also notified of the failure and the contact was given an estimate diagnostic estimate which the contact declined. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.

POWER TRAIN
I was going to work at 5am I came to a red light, and the light turn green i press the gas to go there was no acceleration the car rolled backwards. I turned vehicle off. and restarted. still no acceleration. i moved the gear into first (this an auto vehicle). with that i catches enough to coarse. Not enough acceleration to pull into the driveway. I had gone into reverse just to get in. i had it looked at and it's the CVT transmission for my 2014 jeep patriot the cost for repairs 5,000 to 6,000. The failure mileage130,000

On Tuesday April 14,2026 at 12 pm I was driving on a highway at 55 miles per hour.The vehicle completely shut off and decreased in speed to which I was able to steer off to the shoulder but had to maneuver for awhile to a space more ample since some areas were narrow.As I made attempts to start car 2x it would not but rather make sounds as if attempting to start to no avail.At that time a pedestrian passed by on bike riding along the shoulder.Luckily,the incident did not happen at same time biker was in proximate vicinity. As I got off to check car,I was cautious enough to check for cars, a semi truck was swerving and luckily straightened out in time.I checked under the hood to see for any obvious signs.I got back in car and attempted to start to which it did.Noticied engine light was on which is new and stayed on until safely got home.Before,a week or so,car did turn off at a traffic light to which it had no problem starting as I cranked it.

At the time of purchase, the mileage was 84,959. It was later discovered, upon checking a Carfax Report, that the mileage was 180,960.

On a fateful day, I, [XXX] , found myself in a harrowing situation on the interstate. While driving, my car unexpectedly flipped over, tumbling four times before coming to a jarring stop. The chaos began when my engine backfired violently, which was followed by the alarming sight of smoke rising from under the hood as flames erupted. To make matters worse, my four-wheel drive system malfunctioned, leaving me helpless and unable to regain control. Despite my efforts, the seatbelt that is supposed to ensure safety failed to hold me securely, and the airbag system did not deploy, adding to the sense of dread I experienced during the crash. As I tried to process the unfolding nightmare, I found myself unable to unbuckle my seatbelt due to the shock and disorientation of the accident. The dashboard's sensors were unresponsive, and my speed monitor flickered as though mocking my plight. In that moment, the overwhelming fear and confusion turned into a painful reality as I was left with a broken left shoulder blade and a fractured left forearm, the break occurring in the upper arm, just adding to the turmoil of the incident. SEATS
The vehicle was parked in front of my house, completely away from all traffic or other probable causes. The driver's side head rest deployed for no apparent reason. My vehicle had no scratches or dents. If you need to come see it, let me know. Now if I do have an accident, I'm at risk of head and neck injuries. I spoke to a certified Jeep dealership mechanic that told me replacement parts were no longer available. He did not inform me of any recalls or issues with this make and model and made it sound like an expensive repair. After looking this issue up on the internet, it seems to have happened to others. The deployment did not activate the airbags or turn on the warning light on my dash.

My car broke down as I was driving with no prior indication or warning. It failed to run when I tried to start it back up, so I had to push it off the road and call for a tow. The shop told me the problem was that the tube-fuel supply line was corroded from the inside and needed to be replaced. I had a similar issue with my brake fluid lines being corroded and needing to be replaced a year prior. How is it these supply lines are built out of such a poor material, that the vehicle barely makes it 10 years/100K miles and they are already failing because the fuel line can't handle fuel and the brake line can't handle brake fluid?

Engine stalls only after filling up gas, resulting in check engine light or oil light turning on. I have taken it to numerous mechanics, who have all given me different answers, with anywhere from issues with EVAP hoses and fuel tank, to the fuel pump, or purge system. Problem was never addressed or mentioned when bought from dealership in June 2025 but noticed immediately after filling up gas for the first time since purchase of the car and problem occurs continuously after filling up gas. Not sure if related either, but if gas tank is overfilled at all in the slightest, it leaks out the bottom immediately.

Vehicle acts like it wants to shut off. No warnings or check engine lights it just starts to shake and not let me accelerate. Auto shop looked at it and engine and transmission are ok. They look ed at it 6 times in 4 months and it just keeps happening. Now car is leaking oil and they can’t figure out where from, they replaced oil pan me anything relating to it so not sure what’s wrong. Also, clicking sound from air vent seems to be a electrical issue. Key is starting to bend from ignition shape also. We replaced the key multiple times. New brakes and new rotors but car screeches and sounds like brakes are old but they’re brand new. Car sounds like struggling when accelerators.

Driver headrest AHR has deployed without any accident or incident. Car is under 100,000 miles. Dealer advises there is no recall or extended warranty on this issue, however research shows other jeep vehicles manufactured at the same time with extended warranty. Safety now at risk as no repair for factory issue and headrest now pushes head out of alignment with the seat.
