The vehicle developed an intermittent but potentially dangerous engine control malfunction. After the engine reached normal operating temperature, the engine speed (RPM) would repeatedly surge while the vehicle was stopped in Park and Neutral, fluctuating from approximately 1,000 RPM to over 3,000 RPM without any throttle input from the driver. The condition occurred with the air conditioning turned off and could be reproduced multiple times. At approximately the same time, the Auto Start/Stop system stopped functioning and displayed a warning indicator. A malfunction indicator lamp (check engine light) also appeared during the incident. The warning light later turned off, but the engine surging continued. This unexpected increase in engine speed raises concerns about unintended vehicle movement or loss of driver control if the condition were to occur while shifting into gear or while driving. The unpredictable nature of the malfunction presents a potential safety risk to the occupants of the vehicle and to others on the road. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Hyundai dealership for diagnosis and repair and remains under inspection. The problem is available for inspection. During my research, I found numerous reports from other Hyundai owners describing similar engine surging, idle fluctuation, and Auto Start/Stop malfunctions involving comparable vehicles. Because similar complaints appear to have been reported by multiple owners, I am submitting this report so the issue can be evaluated for a possible broader safety defect. I have videos of the incident

This vehicle burns oil at an alarming rate. I am getting oil changes every 3K miles, and when I take it in, the dipstick is dry. I receive no oil lights to tell me it is low. I just had to get spark plugs and the mechanic at the garage told me this was due to the oil consumption issue in these vehicles. I am at 71,000 miles.

I lease a 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL. This vehicle has experienced repeated electrical and safety system malfunctions. Display/infotainment failure: The center display has shut off while driving on at least 10-15 separate occasions. This has occurred while I was actively using CarPlay for navigation in an unfamiliar area, causing loss of directions while driving. Forward collision/automatic emergency braking (AEB) malfunction: The AEB system engaged unexpectedly and unpredictably while I was driving on the highway, causing the vehicle to brake suddenly. This resulted in another vehicle rear-ending me. This occurred while I was driving home from a doctor's appointment. I understand this vehicle/system was subject to a manufacturer recall related to this issue. AEB failure to engage when needed: On a separate occasion, while I was backing out of a parking spot, the emergency braking system did not engage or respond when needed, and I narrowly avoided being struck (T-boned) by another vehicle. Warning system malfunction after repair: Following the highway incident, I brought the vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealer, who performed a front safety system software update. Approximately two days later, while driving on the highway, a dashboard warning appeared related to the front safety system. This warning disabled cruise control and other related features. Dealer inspection/dispute: I brought the vehicle back

Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 111 regulates rear visibility systems. It requires backup cameras to shut off within a specific time or distance after moving forward to prevent driver distraction. A screen stuck on the reverse camera means the vehicle failed to comply with federal safety safety standards in that moment, actively flashing an illegal, high-contrast visual distraction while trying to navigate. I am writing to formally report a critical safety defect regarding the infotainment system in my 2026 Hyundai Tucson, which directly resulted in property damage on 7/6/26. While driving at approximately 35 mph, the center display screen failed to disengage the rear view camera. The persistent, high-visibility flashing of moving traffic behind me in my peripheral vision completely obscured my forward safety alerts and navigation, creating an immediate visual hazard. This system glitch distracted me at a critical moment, causing an impact with a curb. Given that this incident was precipitated by a verified malfunction of a federally regulated safety system (FMVSS 111), I requested that Hyundai corporate review this case, investigate the failure of this component, and cover the cost of the $3,337 structural repairs. They have denied my request. I am aware that NHTSA Recall 26V400000/Hyundai Recall 304 is pending complete entry of all affected vehicles (vehicle was built at the Montgomery plant). Hyundai issued Technical Service Bulletin TSB 24-BE-001H for 2022–2026 Tucsons. It officially documents that these infotainment systems suffer from "freezing, lagging, unresponsive touchscreens, and intermittent blank screens". The bulletin attributes this to a loose internal coaxial cable and software bugs. I feel strongly that the camera freeze is a direct byproduct of this documented hardware/software defect. Hyundai explicitly stated to the federal government: "An instrument panel display that fails increases the risk of crash".

The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brakes independently activated. The contact stated that the vehicle decelerated to 60 MPH and the brake pedal was abnormally firm. The contact stated that the animals in the rear of the vehicle were thrown into the front seat of the vehicle. The contact stated that the seat warmer independently turned on, the touch screen activated and deactivated, and the oil change warning light illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V316000 (Forward Collision Avoidance). The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The contact was informed that the VIN was not associated with the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.

2023 Hyundai Tuscon XRT has a dangerous and alarming issue. The Emergency Braking engages at highway speeds where no risk is present. The car groans and pulls dangerously. In addition, the Forward Collision Warning engages on surface streets every 10-15 seconds and there are no risks present. The emergency braking issue has occurred on several occasions. The Forward Collision Warning issue occurs every time the car is driven.

7/9/2026 Check engine light on at 320 miles. Had car 3 weeks. Took to dealership they ran diagnostics & the code came up as P050B00 (cold start ignition timing performance). Dealership told me that the manufacture knows there is a problem but does not know how to fix at this time. I was told there was nothing they can do and keep driving the car with a check engine light on, which is ridiculous. Filed a claim that day with the manufacturer. Still no response, but their customer service tells me my case has been escalated over a week now and no claims person assigned to my case, Since then I've noticed that when slowing down the car engine shuts off intermittently. It also did this the night before the check engine light came on. This is extremely dangerous when I'm driving.

Component: Forward Collision Avoidance / Steering / Electrical SystemDescription of Incident: While driving a rented 2026 Hyundai Tucson SEL AWD (VIN: [XXX]) on the [XXX], the vehicle experienced a severe, uncommanded steering intervention. While maintaining momentum on a winding road, the vehicle's automated systems falsely intervened, aggressively pulling the steering wheel and forcing the vehicle toward the edge of a cliff. The sensation mirrored violent torque steer, fighting driver input and nearly causing a catastrophic departure from the roadway.Safety Risk: This VIN is currently unlisted for active campaigns, but it is exhibiting the exact life-threatening failure mode detailed in NHTSA Campaign 26V316000 (FCA software defect). The manufacturer's current recall scope is inadequate and must be expanded immediately to include this VIN sequence before an uncommanded steering event results in a fatal crash. This has happened twice now. When going at a low speed, once in traffic, once while performing a U-turn, while braking, the car is trying to accelerate. I have to practically stand on the brake pedal to avoid the car lurching forward. I saw no warning lights on the dashboard. I haven't yet brought the vehicle to a dealer or service center, but it will be.

I was driving down [XXX] from my house. My engine light started to flash.I tried to accelerate my car barely went 10 miles an hour.I got Home 2 minutes later. There was major knocking.I had the car towed to [XXX], Hyundai, the only code that is showing up on the diagnostics, is P1326 there is an open class action lawsuit for this exact code. For the rod bearing failure, Hyundai is denying the claim, saying there's a gap in maintenance history on a car. I didn't own yet when I bought the vehicle. It passed a 190 point inspection. There's no way there was anything wrong with this vehicle.I am under fifty thousand miles , and if I was on the highway , it could've been deadly i could not accelerate. No other lights were on in the vehicle, except for the flashing engine light.I have already reported to the better business bureau and they have sent it to arbitration. I have contacted the escalation department for Hyundai. They opened up to separate cases. The agent that was assigned to me didn't even get the code from [XXX], they just denied the claim without it.I have the emails to prove that I had to give it to her. I have.\n All my maintenance history, but as you can see from the text message from XXX Hyundai, they are requesting maintenance for a car that wasn't in my possession yet. They're asking for dates from a year before I had the car, I bought it through EchoPark. I have everyone on my side including fFdelity , as I tried to go through Fidelity and they said they couldn't approve the warranty because of the class action lawsuit against Hyundai for that exact manufacturer malfunction. The rear door locks and trunk lid do not always unlock. This creates a safety concern for rear passengers because they cannot easily exit the car because door won't unlock. The dealership says issue is intermittent yet it's still happening.

I bought my car in for recalls and they performed service. I got down the road when the HUD started going out over bumps. They could not duplicate it when I bought it back after picking it up. This was yesterday 7/16/26. They have had this car for a total of 18 days not including other issues that I have bought it in for. Today I am having issues with the instrument cluster and HUD going out randomly over bumps still. This is exactly what I explained when dropping it for the repair. This is resulting in me not being able to read the instrument cluster since it displays no signal on cluster or goes completely black.

On XXX, while approaching a stop sign, the vehicle did not engage the brakes as expected. I had to press the brake pedal multiple times, and the vehicle jerked several times before it came to a stop. Given that a brake failure of this kind poses an immediate risk to my safety and the safety of others on the road, I had the vehicle towed in for service right away. I took the vehicle to Courtesy Hyundai of Tampa (3810 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33614) on Monday, XXX (Repair Order #XXX). Service Advisor Dominick DeLeva documented the complaint and had the vehicle test driven. The dealership's notes state that the issue could not be duplicated, no fault codes were present, and the brake fluid level was correct. A multi-point inspection was also completed. The vehicle was returned to me on July 14, 2026, with no repairs made and no explanation for the braking irregularity I experienced. I have had nothing but trouble with software issues since the very first recall (software related) on my vehicle, just a few months after I purchased it. I have had a very difficult time having Hyundai address these issues, and recently opened my third case with Hyundai. The issue: On 6/24/26 Peddar Hyundai conducted the software update for the recall regarding the front collision system. Later in the day on 6/24/26 and in the days following, whenever I turned on the car, Googlemaps would automatically pop up on the infotainment screen, the car’s navigation voice (not the googleMaps voice) would instruct me to turn right or left, etc. throughout the drive, despite no route being set. I have a video of this occurring. MOST CONCERNING: 6/25/26 I was pulling out of a parking lot, with no other cars or obstacles in my path, going slowly, and the automatic braking system ground the car to a stop. There was no warning on the dash. It took a few seconds before the car would allow me to accelerate. This is the very problem the software update was supposed to fix. 7/2/26 I was using GoogleMaps navigation at night and as I was driving, the infotainment system went blank and I had no navigation. After a minute or so the map came back on, but it was just spinning in circles and couldn’t right itself. Additional issues: the infotainment system randomly keeps popping up the question, asking if I want to open Google Maps. Sometimes when using the parking camera, an informational window keeps popping up stating “Press the button to display the camera view, or press and hold to activate the parking assist system”. I use this function every day, but for some reason, at times it keeps trying to teach me how to use it. (These types of glitches have happened before after software updates.) 6/26/26 I opened a case with Hyundai. Case number 42790134. I have yet to hear from them. I've called several times and they won't return my call or address this safety issue.

I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Tucson in March of 2026. Shortly after the purchase the screen began to malfunction. The screen glitches continuously while driving and there is no way to turn it off. This creates a significant distraction and raises serious concerns about driver safety. Especially driving at night. The screen turns completely dark then all of a sudden comes back in super bright. Because of the glitching there is no way to get to the setting to possibly turn the brightness down. It also creates a loud noise for about 10 minutes then resets itself and start all over again. I notice there was a recall about the screens glitching previously and I reached out to Hyundai and they informed my VIN wasn’t apart of the recall so there was nothing that could be done. Because the vehicle is over 60K miles I am not able to use the factory warranty. I believe it is unreasonable for a vehicle that is only a 2025 model to experience a major electronic failure after such a short period of ownership. Regardless of warranty limitations, consumers should be able to expect that critical vehicle systems, particularly those affecting safe operation, will function properly. I respectfully request that Hyundai and/or the selling dealership review this matter and provide goodwill assistance by covering the diagnostic fee and repairing or replacing the defective infotainment screen. I believe this would be a fair resolution considering the age of the vehicle, the timing of the failure, and the potential safety implications. I have taken a few screenshots of the video I recorded to show what is happening. I am not able to upload the video so you can hear the loud noise it makes.

I was intending to make a left hand turn out of a dinner parking lot. As I approached the exit, I saw that a car was about to drive past me preventing me from making that turn, so I put my foot on the brake pedal to stop my car and let the vehicle safely pass in front of me. But the brake did not work. It did not stop my car. The pedal felt limp not firm I turned sharply to the left to avoid striking the other vehicle. Fortunately no other cars were coming in either direction. I put the car in neutral and then in park. Only by the grace of God a collision was averted. I then restarted the car, the brake pedal was now firm again and I drove home. I returned home and left the car in my driveway until Monday, July 13 when I had a tow truck take the vehicle to the dealer. This is not the first time my brakes became soft and limp and failed to stop my car. There have been at least two or three previous incidents over the the past months while backing out of a parking space, the brake pedal became limp. In those instances I was able to stop the vehicle by putting it in park. When I restarted the vehicle, the brake returned to being firm. These incidents are intermittent. I don't know when and where they will occur. To date, the dealer claims not to have found anything wrong with my brakes. Apparently, unless they can replicate my experience directly themselves, they intend to send me on my merry way. I don't consider the vehicle is safe to drive. The intermittent problems I have had with the brakes all occurred in exiting parking lots and not on the highway at 55 MPH - fortunately. These incidents occurred. The brakes have failed

We have had two starburst cracks from very small rocks hitting our windshield on the highway and chips from tiny hail. I have never had a car with such a fragile windshield before. We are constantly worried that it would break easily while driving if something larger hits it.
