Exterior and interior door handles failed to open vehicle door. Handle may work upon repeated engagement, but this does not always work. This is happening on both rear and front doors, both driver and passenger side. This endangers people's safety both inside and out. Should a person need to quickly exit a scenario (a woman being chased or threatened) the exterior door handle failing puts her at risk of unnecessary danger. Should this car be involved in an accident and people inside the car injured the failure of the door handle to open would prohibit help and aid to the people from people outside. Should the passengers or driver be incapacitated they could be trapped inside the vehicle, even with people there to assist them. The interior handles not opening could potentially cause severe injury or death to drivers or passengers. If doors cannot open from the inside than people inside the car cannot exit the car in the case of a crash or other hazardous situation. If no one is there to provide aid passengers inside the car may be trapped. No notice was given of the issue before it appeared. It began several months ago. My vehicle has not been inspected by a manufacturer or anyone else yet. My car has not yet had this issued confirmed by a dealer, but this is a well documented issue on youtube. Hyundai is also aware of the issue as they have issued a technical service bulletin for door latch replacement for "some" 2017 Hyundai Elantra models.

Car randomly shuts off while idling . Will restart , but will not go past 10 mph leaving me either stranded in the middle of the road or causing me to pull over in unsafe areas . When restarting , engine is very hesitant. Car will be very shaky so I have to keep the car off for about 5 minutes before I restart the car . At that time the check engine light will turn on , as well as the wheel alignment and the battery .

- #11533310July 19, 2023FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
3 lanes going down to 2 (leftmost closed). I move over to far right lane out of middle lane. No cars ahead of me in right lane. some cars in left lane. In lane for about 100 yards when.... Emergency collision warning appears and warning is made with sound and car pumps to brakes. Nobody was in my lane within 40 yards. Nobody moving into my lane. I have had it slow down and give collision warning when a car moves to right turn lane from right lane and I pass that car. But this time the alert went off and brakes were automatically strongly applied as if I was about to plow into another car without any obvious threat. Dealer checked alerts and no obvious system failures or codes appeared. Turned off automatic braking for now (and as a safety concern, it resets to the default safety braking each time In restart the car). 8:41 AM 7/18/2023

I'm beyond frustrated! I dropped my car off Saturday May 18th and got my vehicle back on Monday June 26th for my car to completely stop working and not cut on come July 2nd. I called Hyundai of Concord 3 times and left multiple voicemails for Dennis to return my calls. I spent $799 in repairs to walk away thankful I completed the needed repairs to run correctly. In return I spent $799 for NOTHING! My car won't start! I understand the 4th is tomorrow, but the most professional thing is to address my concern. June 26th I was provided with a diagnostic and NOTHING on my diagnostic signified I had an urgent repairs that would prevent my car from starting. I'm extremely unsatisfied. I trusted Hyundai of Concord being that I live closer than Keffer Hyundai! I'm so disappointed! I will be without a car until who knows how long! I finally got a call back from Dennis who rudely cut me off as I was talking and did not provide a resolution. Dennis advised me Tony the regional manager would be contacting me, but hasn't. I also left two voicemails for Tony and no call back! Staff is incompetent and not helpful! I was forced to trade in my vehicle due to lack of response from Modern Hyundai of Concord!

Brake and fuel lines corroded due to failure of manufacture to coat lines completely. Lost brakes completely without warning. Confirmed by Hoffman and Burnham auto services. Also contacted Garvey Hyundai who stayed this is a problem with these vehicles. Contacted Hyundai customer service as there is a Recall issued in Canada for this problem. Hyundai stated no foreseeable recall in the U.S. Lost of brakes could be deathly, not to mention high risk of fire and death if fuel lines corroded thru

On [XXX], I was driving to a hair appointment and was getting over to the far right lane. Traffic was stop and go and as I merged into the far right lane, the car flashed an “engine off” red light warning and had the words “put in N.” I quickly realized that the car had died on me. I tried to press on the gas to get over to the emergency lane, but the car would not accelerate. I tried to push the button to restart it, and it would not restart. I then tried to put it in neutral as I thought that’s what the N letter meant and still nothing happened. With the car dead, I steered the car into the emergency lane with my hazard lights on. I then pressed on the brakes, tried to put in neutral and finally put the car in park (I believe. I don’t really remember the order of events because I was panicking). I then pushed the button to start the car and it started up. I then drove in the slow lane the rest of the way until I got to my appointment, as I was worried the car would die out on me again on the fast lane and be killed. Our car has been at Stockton Hyundai since [XXX], and we still don’t have my car back. The car is in my husband’s name, [XXX]. They are claiming they can’t find anything wrong with it. There is a case number with corporate, but yet I can’t reach anybody there. I’ve talked to Tracy Hyundai, Stockton Hyundai, Corporate Hyundai, and still no car. What can I do to resolve this issue? We are paying on a car that is not in our possession. I leave messages at Stockton Hyundai, and nobody calls me back. I called Lauren at Corporate Hyundai and don’t have a callback from her. I called today and the recording says that she’s not available and then I’ll get transferred to a different agent and the phone just rings. So I called the main number at Corporate Hyundai again and they tell me they can’t give me a different agent. I have to call them again and again then, but still really no resolution and no car. I bought the car used from a dealer a year ago. I've made sure to keep the oil changed and have regular maintenance. I was driving home after work, and in the middle of highway 49, going 65mph in the left lane, the car stalled and came to an abrupt, jolting stop in the middle of traffic, causing several other cars to nearly hit me before I was able to get a man who was passing by to help me get the car off the road to safety until I could have it towed to a mechanic. It wouldn't crank or start. After he replaced my starter, it cranked and seemed fine. I headed home but halfway home it began knocking on the passenger side of the engine, getting worse with acceleration. The oil is at the proper level, so it's not from lack of oil. After reading online, I realized that this is a common problem with Hyundai..
