STEERING
I believe my 2022 CRV has the same issue as the 23 to 25 recall for the steering gearbox issue. My car steering wheel gets stuck and can be hard to turn and I’m worried about the safety for me and my family in my car. Please investigate this issue and I believe it should be extended to 2022 year model for recall. I see online other people with 2022 also face this issue. PLEASE HELP IM CONCERNED. Can Honda answer if the same parts and manufacturing process was used on 2022? I have noticed this more in the last year I have owned this vehicle.

I recently purchased this vehicle and have already experienced three separate chips in the windshield caused by small rocks during normal driving conditions. I have owned several vehicles over the years including Honda SUV, and have encountered similar road conditions without experiencing this level of damage. The frequency with which the windshield has chipped has led me to question the durability and quality of the glass used in my Honda CR-V. While I understand that windshields can be damaged by road debris, it is concerning that a vehicle has sustained multiple chips in such a short period of time. This has resulted in inconvenience, concern about the windshield's long-term integrity, and the potential for costly repairs or replacement. I am requesting that Honda review this matter and advise whether there are any known issues regarding windshield durability for my vehicle. STEERING
After driving for about 10 minutes the steering begins to act differently at speeds above about 45 mph. It usually happens when steering to the left for a curve in the road and then trying to steer back to the right to come out of the curve. The steering wheel will stick and require additional effort to turn back to the right. When extra pressure is applied, the steering wheel will turn and a dull clicking sound is heard. If pressure is not applied it could cause a head-on collision. The Honda dealer duplicated the issue and said the repair was to replace the EPS gear box assembly at a cost of $4,300 just for the part. They also said it wasn't a safety issue but if it gets worse, let them know.

EPS steering rack locks up and causes jerking in steering wheel. This is a known recall on 2022 models but happening on older models as well. There is a clicking noise and a feeling of a stuck steering wheel. My Vehicle has less than 50k miles on it and has only been to Honda for inspections and this was missed. Dealership has even confirmed and charging a hefty repair fee. If these are not caught soon enough they will only get worse causing accidents due to locking steering wheels

The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while his wife was pulling into a parking space, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle unintendedly accelerated and crashed into the condo building. The contact confirmed that the brakes were applied during the failure, but the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The safety features failed to engage, and the seat belt detached. A bystander testified that the driver was not speeding. The message "Take The vehicle to Dealer for service" was displayed. The driver sustained bruises, but medical assistance was not received. A police report was filed. There was no reported fire or airbag deployment. The vehicle remained at the scene. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 20,790.

As I was pulling into a parking space, the car suddenly accelerated, ran through bushes, down a slope across a sidewalk hitting a city utility box. and jumped the curb finally stopping on the street. no other vehicles were involved and no injuries. I did not report at the time of the incident, because I thought I must have done something wrong. However a similar event occurred on May 29, 2026 (See Complaint #11743489) which leads me to believe there may be a defect in the car.

The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that after purchasing the vehicle, the contact discovered that there was a gap on the passenger-side of the hood. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the hood fluttered upward as air entered under the hood. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the vehicle was performing as designed; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who determined that the hood had separated and the hood latch was loose. The contact was provided a loaner vehicle. The dealer notified the manufacturer of the failure, and the manufacturer agreed to replace the hood. The vehicle was not yet repaired and remained at the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

As I was pulling into a parking space inside a parking structure, ground floor, my car suddenly accelerated, jumped the curb, going through landscape hedge and landing on front hood of a parked vehicle outside of the parking structure. I heard the engine accelerate, but had no way of stopping or controlling the car. A very similar accident took place in this car on [XXX]. Same situation: pulling into a parking space, car suddenly accelerates; no way to stop vehicle in time to avoid accident. While driving a 2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid, the vehicle has intermittently and without warning lost the ability to accelerate. When this occurs, depressing the accelerator pedal — even fully to the floor — produces no response, and the vehicle simply coasts and loses speed. This has happened on three occasions — January 13, 2025; December 16, 2025; and June 10, 2026 — including at highway speed. Each occurrence is documented by a Honda dealer service invoice. In each instance, the check engine light began flashing immediately before the loss of power. The only way to restore normal operation was to bring the vehicle to a stop, turn the ignition off, wait, and restart. Restarting restores power but also clears the check engine light and any stored diagnostic trouble codes. Safety risk: Losing motive power without warning, particularly at highway speed or while merging in traffic, creates a serious risk of a rear-end or loss-of-control collision, because the vehicle cannot accelerate out of danger. The affected systems appear to be the power train and hybrid propulsion system, possibly originating from the engine given the flashing check engine light, which typically indicates an active engine misfire. The exact failed component has not been confirmed (UNKNOWN). The problem has NOT been reproduced or confirmed by the dealer during inspection. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Honda dealer for each occurrence, but because restarting the vehicle clears the fault codes, the dealer found no stored codes and could not duplicate the failure during a test drive. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This matches NHTSA Preliminary Evaluation PE25016 regarding intermittent loss of motive power in MY 2020–2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid vehicles.

I have experienced all of the following: "Sticky" Steering: A momentary feeling that the steering wheel catches or sticks when trying to turn it, often requiring extra force to break it loose, Notchy or Jerky Feel: When breaking through the sticky point, the car may jerk slightly, Abnormal Noises: You may hear clicking, grinding, or rubbing noises coming from the front of the vehicle when turning and Increased Effort: It becomes noticeably harder or stiffer to turn the steering wheel. There are no issues when driving straight but when I turn the wheel, into a curve or exiting or entering a ramp for example the wheel can stick and I have to apply additional force to complete the turn. I have also experienced a notch or jerky when completing wider turns, the steering seems to stick in muliple places while the turn is being made. There is also a clicking or popping sound that occurs at each sticking point. There have been no warning lights and I have tried turning on and off all the various lane assist features thinking that the issue was with the technology. Family members have verified these issues but I just found out about this issue after searching on the internet and checking to see that my vehicle was not included even though many of the searches said 2022 was included. If I can get my dealership to look at this issue or another professional I will make an additional complaint.

STEERING
The steering when turning especially to the left and more so at highway speeds(although I have noticed it just driving and at city speeds making micro adjustments while going straight) stops having a responsive feel and as I come out of turns and start to straighten the steering wheel back up it does not move and then all of sudden feels like it lets loose and moves a few degrees in the direction I am turning it aback to and then feels like it catches again. I do notice it even just moderately adjusting my line (but it does not fall or move as many degrees as when actually tuning) and once again more noticeable at highway speeds. This seems to line up with the service bulletins and recalls the later year models. I believe it is the same problem but due to the model year they would rather distance themselves from the responsibility. I have been noticing something with it for about a week before the date listed but I wanted to make sure and it has actually started showing up more and worse. I am afraid this is going to cause a major issue.

Someone stole my radar sensors that is located behind the front Honda emblem. My car still drives but critical security features are disabled. It's not covered under warranty and when I asked Honda if they can put something in to protect the sensor from being stolen again they said they don't have anything. I am scared to park my car anywhere . The part is so easy to steal even a child can do it!!!

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my new Honda CR-V which is 6 months old. Water seeped into my parked and closed vehicle, and after that I experienced multiple hazard warning lights on the dashboard while driving on XX, which caused panic and concern for safety. The next day, the vehicle became unresponsive and the battery went dead. This was alarming because the warning lights appeared during highway driving, where a sudden electrical or system failure could create a crash risk. The vehicle had been parked and closed when the water intrusion occurred, so I am concerned there may be a defect related to water sealing, electrical systems, or battery failure. The dealer confirmed that the seal was broken and might have been a manufacturing defect. This caused water seepage. But they were not sure if the water seepage was related to battery giving electrical warnings and going dead. This uncertainty caused more insecurity as we do not know the reason for battery failure exactly when water leaked into the vehicle. Please investigate whether this issue is related to a safety defect. I request that this complaint be reviewed for any pattern involving water intrusion, dashboard warnings, electrical failure, or battery drain in this model. Vehicle information: Year: 2026 Make: Honda Model: CR-V VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 3166 mi Date of incident: 05-24-2026 Location of incident: [XXX] Additional details: Water seeped into the vehicle while it was parked and closed. Dashboard hazard lights illuminated while driving on I-95. The next day, the vehicle was unresponsive and the battery was dead. I have photos/videos/repair records. The warning lights were flashing hazard icons and system warning lights. The vehicle lost power and had to be towed to Dealership on Tuesday, 05-26. Driving a Honda 2024 crv hybrid ,I was pulling into a front row parking spot and braking and as the car just about was going to stop it surged forward turning in the direction I had just pulled in from and accelerated instead of continuing to brake . I kept my foot on the brake hoping it was stopping , but continued to accelerate running over a sign, then a light post and then through the plate glass frame of the building . Finally coming to rest as it fully entered the building . The vehicle then emitted some smoke from underneath and the building was evacuated. Fortunately no one was in the room at the time the car came through. No injuries thank goodness . No warning signals or any assistive braking was in play . Just my foot on the brake from the time I entered the parking spot . The vehicle was towed to a Honda collision shop where it will have a damage estimate done and then inspected by the car manufacturer. No analysis has been performed at this time .

The steering system made clicking noises and while turning would lock up. I took this to Honda, and they replaced the steering rack. This was extremely unsafe, especially at higher speeds. I did not feel safe driving this vehicle with the steering system failing. This VIN was not included in a Honda recall for the steering system and the steering system failed. The cost of repair was $3400.00. Honda agreed to pay approximately $1100.00.
