My 2022 Honda CR-V is having the same issue has the 2023-2025 Honda CR-V's. The steering is sticky. The 2023-2025 were issued a recall but the 2022 is not covered. The is a safety hazard for me and family and puts others in danger as well. From researching, many 2022 owners are having the same issues but no recall has been granted. There are no warning lights on and have never came on to indicate a problem. I hope that you will take into consideration the 2022 Honda CR-V in a national recall. Honda should be made to pay for this problem. If this recall is not issued this could be detrimental to others on the highway. Please consider this complaint and issue a recall before this creates deaths. Thank you!

Steering rack failure. Steering wheel "sticks" when straightening out of a curve. This causes a need to force the steering wheel more which then causes an over-correction, possibly into another lane. Very unsafe. Steering rack failure has been confirmed by dealer. It is a known problem by Honda, but yet has never been recalled for 2022 crv's. This problem could get someone killed, a child killed. Honda should be ashamed, especially charging owners $4,000 to fix a problem that is theirs. This is criminal.

There is clicking sound while I turn steering wheel, and the steering is not smooth, it is stuck sometimes in place and needs more force to move it. The sound is at low speeds or high speeds on the highways. It is random.

I was pulling into a parking space at church. I had my foot lightly on the brake as the idle speed was sufficient to enter the parking space. When I pressed on the brake to stop the car completely the brakes failed and the car lurched forward about 10 ft and hit the church building damaging my front left bumper, buckling the hood and components behind the bumper.

In the past two weeks, the automatic brake light came on when there was nothing in front of me. Then this past Thursday, I was in the middle lane approaching a stoplight that was about 500 ft. ahead of me, nothing was in front of me and the brake light came on and the car made a quick and hard stop. If anyone was behind me, they would not have been able to stop. Now I am very leery of driving my car, and I disable this feature so I feel safe transporting myself and my family.

The driver‑side mirror on my 2024 Honda CR‑V Hybrid Sport has a persistent vibration issue that affects visibility and safety. At speeds above approximately 65–70 mph, the mirror shakes noticeably, making it difficult to clearly see vehicles in adjacent lanes. This creates a significant safety concern when changing lanes, merging, or monitoring traffic. The mirror assembly was already replaced once by my Honda dealer, but the vibration has returned and is now worse than before. This indicates that the issue is not limited to a single defective part but may be related to the design, mounting, or structural stability of the mirror assembly on this model. Many other owners of 2023 and 2024 Honda CR‑V models have reported the same driver‑side mirror vibration problem through online forums and NHTSA complaints. The pattern suggests a widespread defect that affects visibility and could increase the risk of accidents, especially at highway speeds. Because this is a repeat failure that impacts safe operation of the vehicle, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue. The vibration reduces the driver’s ability to accurately judge surrounding traffic and creates a potential hazard. Please document this as a recurring safety defect associated with my VIN.

Steering wheel was sticking. Adjustments to stay in a straight line were difficult and imprecise. An existing recall on this exact issue did not include my vehicle. Although, Honda covered 80% of the steering repair, I had to pay $888 to have the steering repair and 4 wheel alignment done. I assert that the recall should include my vehicle and be reimbursed for the money I paid.

Steering is sticking after the car is driven for about 20 min. No warning lights or signs are given when this happens. This is a very dangerous safety issue; causing loss of control of vehicle and sometimes causing to veer into the oncoming traffic lane. This started happening 2 months ago when turning left. Dealership service dept could not find it at that time to fix. Sticky steering got worse over the following month, and also started happening when turning right. This matches the recall of other year models: 24V-744. Dealership service dept has now confirmed with diagnosis of problem and wants $3600 to fix this manufacturer defect in the steering gear box.

- #11744938June 18, 2026LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
While driving on a country road with a string of telephone poles on the side, the vehicle lane keeping assist appeared to attempt to follow the shadow of the telephone wires on the road. The shadow was curved by the natural droop of the telephone wires, causing the vehicle to try to swerve to follow the curve of the wire. One time it tried to swerve into oncoming traffic, and another time off the road. There were two incidents in about 5 minutes, so we shut off the system to prevent an accident. It was a clear sunny day, and the road was well paved and marked with white and yellow lines. We have only had the car a few weeks, but this is the first time we have observed this behavior.

I bought this vehicle CPO at a Honda dealer. A pronouced steering issue arose with long banked curves as I drove home that was not evident with straight driving during my test drive. The dealer at first replaced the stabilizer bars but the issue of catching and noise persisted. Upon talking to my son, I learned of the recall associated with the vary same symptoms with Hondas however my year was not included in the recall. The dealership gave me a loaner while it took over 3 weeks to get and install the replacement steering rack. The vehicle no longer has any mechanical issues. I believe the recall years on this issue should be expanded to include 2022 CRVs.

My dealer cancelled my appointment because it doesn’t have required parts. They say waiting time can be more than two months, and don’t provide a loaner or replacement car. The other dealers said waiting time is 2 months. When I call the manufacturer to solve this issue they said to call the dealer. I believe the manufacturer is failing to remedy this safety recall within a reasonable time and is leaving consumers without a safe alternative. I am filing a complaint regarding a serious safety incident involving my 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid. On XXX, at approximately 3:00 PM PST, the moonroof of my vehicle suddenly exploded while I was driving on the freeway. At the time of the incident, there were no objects, debris, rocks, or other vehicles near my car that could have impacted the moonroof. The glass shattered unexpectedly without any apparent external cause. The vehicle was subsequently inspected by Honda Auto Center in Bellevue, Washington. Following their inspection, no evidence of an external impact, stone strike, road debris, or any other outside factor was found. Apart from the shattered moonroof, there is no other damage to the vehicle. Based on these findings, I believe this may be the result of a manufacturing or material defect. This incident has rendered the vehicle unsafe to operate. Continued driving causes the moonroof glass to crack further, increasing the risk of glass fragments becoming dislodged. As a result, I am unable to use the vehicle for commuting to work. Additionally, given the frequent rainfall in the Seattle area, leaving the vehicle parked outdoors in its current condition exposes it to potential water damage. Most importantly, this situation presents a significant safety hazard. There is a risk that glass fragments could fall from the vehicle while driving, potentially endangering me, my passengers, and other motorists on the road. The sudden failure of the moonroof itself was also alarming and could have caused a loss of concentration or control while driving. There were no warning lamps, messages or any symptoms when this problem occured.

I am requesting a formal investigation and warranty review regarding the sunroof glass on my 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD. The vehicle was purchased new, and within approximately the first week of ownership I discovered stress fractures and cracking in the sunroof glass while the vehicle was being driven and maintained under normal conditions. The vehicle has not been involved in any accident, collision, rollover, vandalism incident, or known impact event that would reasonably explain the damage. To the best of my knowledge, no object struck the glass, and there was no unusual noise or event that would indicate an external cause. The cracking appeared unexpectedly and seemed more consistent with stress-related failure than obvious impact damage. Shortly after discovering the issue, my wife contacted the selling dealership to report the concern. During that conversation, she was informed that sunroof glass replacement would not be covered. Given that the damage appeared almost immediately after delivery, we were disappointed by that response and believe the matter deserves a more thorough evaluation. My family has owned several Honda vehicles over the years and has remained loyal to the brand because of its reputation for quality, reliability, and engineering excellence. In comparing this vehicle to previous Hondas we have owned, the sunroof glass appears noticeably thinner and less substantial. While I understand modern vehicles are designed with weight reduction and efficiency in mind, the early appearance of cracking raises legitimate concerns about material durability, manufacturing quality, installation, or structural stress. After discovering the damage, I researched the issue online and found numerous reports from vehicle owners describing cracked, shattered, or spontaneously failing sunroofs. While internet reports alone do not establish a defect, they suggest this type of concern is not isolated and warrants careful review.

The steering wheel “sticks” near center at highway speeds, then jerks when trying to make small corrections. I reported this to a Honda dealer in July 2025, who diagnosed it as “normal”. The condition gradually worsened, and I returned to the dealership today, June 15, 2026, and was told the power steering rack is failing, and needs to be replaced. Honda has recalled these beginning in the model year 2022. Our vehicle was purchased in September 2021. This has been occurring since approximately June of 2025.

Steering of the vehicle was impacted, especially at highway speeds. The steering was “sticky” and required extra attention and great care to avoid driving off the road at highway speeds. No warning lamps identified the issue. Took vehicle to the dealer where issue was identified as steering rack replacement was required. With this being a common issue with Honda CRV vehicles, with previous recalls, I felt it was important to file this notification.

I have experienced unintended acceleration while pulling into a gas station. The vehicle suddenly accelerated from 5 to 20 mph. Brakes did work and I slowed my car down to 2-3 mph. After releasing the brakes the vehicle started accelerating again and I braked again. It was troubling and stressful experience since many other cars were around. After those two accelerations speed control went back to normal. Luckily, there were no damages and no injuries.
