While I was driving my kids home my 2021 Honda CRV had every warning light turn on my dash and the car started jerking and braking and nearly caused me to get in accident with my [XXX] and [XXX] in the car. My husband took the car into the shop and the shop said it was the fuel pumps. They are trying to charge us over 1000 for something that is a Honda issue. On October 19th at 4pm, driving at 72 miles per hour the engine lost power and the engine light flashed. As this was during heavy rush hour traffic, it was a big risk trying to get to the side of the road, get off the highway and travel at very slow speed (20-25 mph) until I could get home. After the engine was shut off and the restarted after 20 minutes, the engine light was off and it seemed to run normally. The car was taken to the dealership where it was purchased several days later and no fault code could be found to identify the problem.

The contact owns a 2008 Honda CR-V. The vehicle was recently taken to a dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V228000 (Structure). The contact stated that the dealer was required to perform a rigorous 7-point safety inspection to ensure the frame was structurally sound for the rear trailing arm reinforcement brace to function properly. However, the dealer overlooked a critical rust hole on the frame by the trailing arm brace. The dealer improperly completed the recall repair despite the structural failure and informed the contact that the recall repair was successfully performed. The contact became aware of the issue after arriving to the residence. The contact believed that the issue posed an immediate safety risk. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for re-evaluation; however, the dealer refused to provide further assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the structural failure. The failure mileage was 191,000.

When driving around a corner at 2.5k RPMs, it felt like a cylinder in the engine went out, and the entire car put itself into limp mode, and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas Tree, with every indicator light being illuminated. I pulled the car over, shut it off, and checked the engine for any signs of damage, and there were none. After turning the car back on again, it the car ran like normal; however, every light was still on the dashboard. I took it into a shop later that day, and had it hooked up to a code reader. The only code that was still being transmitted was the P0011 code. I had previously gotten the oil changed by that exact same shop for the car the day prior, so I had no indications that this was an oil related issue. We then cleared the code, disconnected the battery for 15 minutes, started the car again, and all of the warnings and errors for the car had been cleared. After doing some research on Reddit, the shop found that there had been previous incidents where this same behavior took place for many of this make, model, and year of car, all happening randomly with no warning.

The steering wheel is glitchy. Caused by electronic steering module. Honda has recall for this in newer models. It’s a problem with 2019 as well. Very dangerous and likely to cause a wreck. It is happening every time we drive. Steering sticks.

In February, 2026, while driving the car after cold start within 1 mile of house, engine light started flashing, car was misfiring and was losing power. I had to pull over, turn the engine off, restart it and continue without incident. Car taken to Honda service department; no codes found; problem could not be duplicated; and unable to diagnose issue. Problem continued intermittently and became more frequent until 5/21/26. Honda service duplicated issue and diagnosed problem as leaking fuel injectors. On 5/22/26 car was repaired with 4 new fuel injectors and 4 new spark plugs. Repair cost was $3,549.01. Mileage was 60,775. Safety issue was loss of power on the road.

At approximately 57,200 miles, the electronic power steering (EPS) rack assembly failed due to internal mechanical binding. When straightening out from turns, the steering wheel sticks in place and requires deliberate manual force to unbind, creating an overcorrection and lane-departure safety hazard. The issue was confirmed by an authorized Honda dealership technician on Repair Order #51151, who verified the internal binding and recommended full replacement of the EPS rack assembly (Part #53620-TLD-A03). No dashboard warning lamps illuminated before or during the failure.

Since 2021, I have repeatedly taken my car in to Honda because of check engine light followed by loss of power and loud knocking. Each time the code isn't saved after car is turned off and they can't find any issues. In 2025 after leaving Honda getting few miles away car did same thing, without turning it off I drove right back they ended up keeping car for 45 days, changed spark plugs and few other things. Yet again on 19 Oct 2026, my car repeated same thing and Honda again says they can't see any code or error. Now I'm going to pick it up, without resolution hoping this doesn't happen when I'm not able to pull over in a safe place to restart. I have requested all records from Honda and will provide their reports. I've lost track of how many times I've had this issue, but honestly do not feel safe in this car.

On XXX our 2026 Honda CRV Hybrid had a sudden unintended acceleration ending in a collision with a tree. The car was in a low speed and being parked in a parking lot. While slowing down or decelerating, the CRV surged forward. The collision repairs cost approximately 15,000. Due to the fact that it happened in a parking lot on private property, no police report was filed. State Farm, our insurance was notified and we were encouraged to call Caliber Collision. State Farm sent a tow truck and our CRV was taken to Caliber Collision the same day. At the time of the collision, no air bag was deployed. As the driver at the time, the incident happened very quickly, and I was thankful the vehicle hit a tree and not a person. I can honestly say my foot was NOT on the acceleration pedal. After arriving home, I began checking for other similar incidents and found a report of UNINTENDED/PHANTOM acceleration complaints while the cars were at low speeds while trying to park or decelerate. This report was attached to the Lemberg Law in [XXX]. I reached out to the law firm inquiring about data they have collected. Their response, "Yes, we are aware of the issue and investigating it further." In the meantime, other reports on the internet were also located AND another owner of a CRV 2026 Hybrid living in our area also experienced the same surge while parking, hitting a sign. Honda Customer Service was contacted. I spoke with [XXX] at American Honda. She assigned a case number and asked that I call her when the car was returned and fixed. [XXX] stated that American Honda would send a technician to checkout the car. I've try to call [XXX] three different times, and she has never returned the call. My State Farm agent has also tried to call [XXX] at American Honda and has never received a callback. I have had it looked at multiple times and Honda dealerships claim they aren't "feeling" or "hearing" what I am. I was recently informed that my request was denied because my vehicle is currently at 160,000 miles, which exceeds the 150,000-mile threshold. However, I would like to clarify the timeline of events regarding this issue: - Prior to reaching my current mileage, I brought my vehicle into the dealership for inspection. At that time, the head gasket issue was not identified by the service department, and I was instead advised to replace the fuel injectors. - Seeking a second opinion, an independent mechanic subsequently identified the problem as a failing head gasket. - Following the release of the service bulletin in August 2026, I brought the vehicle back to the dealership in September after noticing driving issues, at which point the dealership confirmed the head gasket failure. the steering starts to get tight and sticky especially on the highways. I took the car to dealership I bought jt from yesterday (Oct 19, 2026). they kept the car for whole day and on my continuous follow ups, they returned it back in evening saying nothing is wrong and that bring the car back if engine light is on. the guy also said that car is designed to get steering tightened as it picks up the speed.

It’s been just 4 months I bought honda crv hybrid 2026 and just 1800 miles , I have a sticky steering . 1 months ago I had same problem and nearly had accident in highway. I went to honda service they changed whole rack but after a months it’s started again. Whenever I don’t use brake hold button it’s works well but if I use and even after disengage of brake hold button steering so heavy and sticky and because of that today also I had near accident .

Vehicle: 2026 Honda CR-V FHEV VIN: [XXX] Manufacturer: American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Description of Safety Concern I am reporting a recurring center display/navigation malfunction in my 2026 Honda CR-V FHEV. While driving, the center display sometimes goes completely blank. When the display returns, it may remain frozen and unusable. This prevents me from reliably accessing the navigation system while driving and creates a potentially hazardous distraction when navigation is needed. The problem has not been resolved by the dealership. The dealer replaced the display under Repair Order No. XXX, but the replacement did not correct the issue. I also experienced the same problem in a Honda CR-V Hybrid loaner vehicle with a different trim. My Honda customer relations case number is XXX. On XXX, Honda contacted me and stated that this is a known issue and that Honda is working on a solution. However, Honda did not provide a completion date and stated that it did not plan to offer compensation while it was working on the problem. I am concerned that this malfunction may affect other vehicles of the same or related models. I request that NHTSA record this complaint and evaluate whether the recurring display failure presents a safety-related defect requiring further investigation.
