It has become increasingly more difficult to steer my car and I have sought repair from Honda for months to no avail. My brand new CRV is almost un-drivable and it is my only car.

- #11641725February 10, 2025FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving 45-50 MPH, the Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking system was activated, and the vehicle decelerated to approximately 10-20 MPH without another vehicle being nearby. The failure had occurred twice in one week. The contact stated that on both occasions, the vehicle was able to accelerate as needed seconds after the failure had occurred. The contact became aware online that the failure was a known issue, and it was advised that the Forward Collision Avoidance system should be deactivated to prevent the failure from reoccurring. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The dealer stated that the system would be calibrated to avoid the failure from reoccurring. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. Honda CRV has a software glitch where all warning lights start flashing. This has happened 3 times in past one year . Dealer wanted $150 to $200 for diagnostics . When I checked internet there are multiple users who are having this issue . When I contacted Honda they said they can do nothing as it’s not an active recall issue . The entire system needs to be updated by Honda free of charge for existing customers as this is a major safety issue

When making a steering correction, there is a tendency for the steering to get stuck in a fixed position for a brief period. It takes an abnormal level of force to overcome this stickiness before it becomes un-stuck and allows a steering change. As a result, there is some jerkiness in the steering, which presents a significant safety issue. It is more noticeable at higher speeds and can be a bit alarming, and a potential collision hazard, particularly if surrounded by other vehicles on a major highway, which I have experienced with this vehicle. I have not yet taken it to a dealer or service provider but have read several forums on-line and tried some of the recommended remedies, such as adjusting the steering column and turning the wheel slowly through full motion, which did not resolve the issue.

- #11641390February 7, 2025LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
There are a few safety issues I've experienced multiple times while driving this car. To the best of my knowledge, there haven't been any warning lamps or indicators on the dash related to these issues. When driving, the car will activate the emergency braking system, braking incredibly hard at freeways speeds and street driving speeds even though there is nothing near or close to the front of the car. The car has braked so intensely that items fly around the car and that both my son and I have experienced back, neck, and shoulder pain from the unexpected/severe braking. The other safety issue I've experienced is the lane departure/keeping sensors going off on the dash and the car pulls itself out of the lane. It seems like the car thinks I've departed the lane and is trying to pull me back into the lane, but, in reality, I am in the lane and the car is pulling itself into the next lane (sometimes even when another car is next to me or approaching). This is a safety concern since it causes swerving and my car could crash into another car or a lane divider if I didn't react so quickly to overpower the automatic lane departure. It's also a recurring issue to have to fight the car to keep it in the lane and makes for very tense driving. The last issue is an electrical one, I believe, related to the infotainment panel. The power on the infotainment system goes off unexpectedly while driving. It sometimes will not power on during start up. If it turns off while driving, sometimes I have to stop, turn off the car, and restart it to get it working again and other times it reboots itself after a minute or a few. All of these issues have happened countless times, as long as I've had the car. I've had it inspected and during the most recent inspection (Sept 2024) they asked me to come in to drive the car so that the issues would be reproduced while the mechanic was sitting in the passenger seat. I was able to reproduce the issues while the mechanic was in the car with me.

There’s an open recall on the fuel pump for this vehicle, and Honda refuses to address the recall. I’ve been in contact with Honda, and they have told me they refuse to the fuel pump until the vehicle breaks down. So effectively Honda has diminished the value of my vehicle and refuses to fix it.

In this model of Honda steering wheel looses controls like loosing the steering for fraction of seconds it like steering and wheel movement has lag you feel like it's tiny motion in steering wheel. If you holds steering wheel while driving it tends to not stay in place and you need to keep making tiny motion to keep in place. Dealer did not recognize this as issue and asked to comeback if it's get worst. As driver my fear is for me and my family as if it fails or do malfunction we can loose control of the vehicle and loss of life can occur. Someone needs to carefully inspect it to find what component making is responsible and provide remediation.

Drivers side mirror cracked. No contact was made with anything, it just cracked. Honda would not cover as part of warranty. It created a huge safety concern as the visual out of this mirror was on two different planes and you could not see clearly to make a lane change. I did have it replaced but had to pay for the replacement. With this car being less that a year old, and how it cracked spontaneously I felt that should have been a covered warranty replacement. This issue is currently being investigated for a class action lawsuit. I have the mirror as evidence, if it was made with faulty materials. I've owned nothing short of 27 vehicles in my life, 7 of which were Honda's and I've never had this happen. I really think that the mirrors were a manufacturers defect on this car.
