SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Several times the vehicle has automatically braked at low speeds (20-30 mph), nothing in front of the vehicle to cause this. Today it automatically braked...HARD...at 55 mph, again, nothing in front of vehicle, clear morning, road was clear. It braked so hard I'm pretty sure I have whiplash. I immediately called Victory Honda. They told me to go wash my car and call them back if it happens again. The only warning it gave was the brake light and beeping, but it was instant. Thankful there was no one behind me.

SUSPENSION, STEERING
If im driving at normal rate of speed while on highway the steering becomes very loose and sticky when adjusting steering. The passenger wheel will feel like it wobbles on its camber axis or will act like a shopping cart wheel. At times changing direction of vehicle entirely. At that time suspension will feel really spongy.

The issues has been reported by many others about the very loud and distracting static noise from car radio . It makes it very to drive with such a loud noise . It is a honda issue that should really be addressed . It is a safety issue just like any other thing that can and would be wrong with the car . It is a piercing noise that would really just get under you're skin and and distract you from the road . Again , there have been numerous reports and complaints about the this issue with the vehicle with the piercing static noise .

When setting something on my passenger seat such as a water bottle filled with water and a purse, the SRS light is triggered on the dashboard. After doing some research there was a safety recall for the passenger weight sensor on my vehicle model however my vin was not included.

POWER TRAIN
[XXX] son was driving vehicle outside of city limits. Had come to a 4 way stop sign and proceeded to make a left hand turn towards town. After turning and accelerating vehicle made a loud noise and immediately began coasting to a stop. Son pulled over thinking something with the transmission as the motor is running fine. The car is "free rolling" while in park and will only make a "clunking/knocking" noise when put into gear. Used insurance to have vehicle towed the 14.8 miles home after being stuck on the highway for an hour. Today after internet searching found #20V769 regarding issue with broken driveshaft due to poor coatings from factory. Lack of coatings cause a premature failure due to rust build up, which is accelerated by road salt use. This bulletin covers several states that are in the "ice belt" of the US where they use road salt to treat the roads. Neighboring States of Iowa and Minnesota are both on the list, but not South Dakota. This vehicle has been registered in SD it's entire life(which explains why no previous owners received the bulletin). We live 15 min from both Minnesota and Iowa and having lived here for 42 years I know that we use salt to treat our roads. Please update the bulletin to include South Dakota as this needs to be covered under a safety recall due to identical situations causing premature failure. **Reached out to Honda Motorcars and received a case number as well. The car is braking even when there is no obstacle or vehicle ahead. I have not driven at higher speed but I fear that if that happens, it can cause incident and injury.

I got a recall notice for my car for fuel pump which I got it fixed but now the dealership is saying I got fuel injector issues with head gasket issues. I have also read online that lot of people are having exactly this problem, their fuel pump injectors are also failing with head gasket on the 2018 Honda Accord and Honda is requesting $2000 in fixes

My 2016 has been experiencing audio issues for the past few months. There is a loud static noise that comes through my speakers at random times. When this happens, there is no way to control the audio unless I pull the car over and let the care sit for at least 30 minutes. The static will randomly increase and decrease on its own when this happens. I have tried to control this by just keeping the audio system turned off, but have recently found that doesn't help. The static will still occur randomly and not shut off. This is very dangerous when trying to drive and you can't control your audio system. The static noise can get pretty loud which has now caused me to stop driving my Honda. (which is awful) My car is still in very good shape and now just sitting while I try to find a replacement audio unit which will will cost roughly about $1000 to repair. This appears to be a common Honda issue as I have read so many similar reviews online. I'm hoping Honda will do what's right and put a recall out to help it's customers with resolving what now appears to be a common issue caused by the original factory setting. Overall, this has been very frustrating for myself as I only have one vehicle and hoping that Honda will do something to help it's customers.

Purchased the car in August 2024 from Carvana, September the car shuts off at red light. Was told to replace the alternator. Shop replaced alternator but car still was cutting off while in parked or at complete stop. Was told to replace the battery, replaced the battery and months later car still shuts off. Had another mechanic look at it once hook up to scanner FCW light said failed system on odometer, MAF code showed on scanner. Scared to continue driving vehicle because of safety reasons car is not safe. Can’t return it so I’m stuck trying to figure out what could be the problem. Was told it could be electrical problem or battery sensor issue.

On 3 occasions, was accelerating on interstate (after entering from ramp), check engine light began blinking, car shook terribly & went into limp mode - gas pedal was to the floor but car continued to lose power. Had to pull off road - turned car off, waited 20 minutes, turned car back on - check engine light went off & car was drivable. Another time, while accelerating on interstate, check engine light started blinking & all warning lights came on flashing. Car began losing power - had to pull off on side of the interstate - car was towed to the dealership. Another time, was pulling off from a light on highway - I accelerated, check engine light began blinking, car shook terribly & went into limp mode, requiring me to pull off on side of the highway - turned the car off for 15 minutes - turned it back on, light was off & was able to drive car. Most recent incident - was accelerating on small, 2 lane highway - check engine light began flashing & car shook terribly but didn't go into limp mode - otherwise behaved as before. Each time, took the car to the dealer ASAP to report problem. First time, was told they had to fix broken tail light b/c it was throwing off system & they couldn't get a computer reading. Once done, was told that they got a "CYL2 Miss Fire Code. Performed diagnosis on code. Diagnosis led to improperly adjusted valves. Performed valve adjustment. Found half of valves loose and half tight." Was road tested - no further concerns noted by dealer. Other times, was told that computer wasn't showing any codes. Last event literally happened in front of Advance Auto - pulled in/hooked up to check code - indicated a Cyl 2 misfire. Took to dealer - said no code showing - berated me for having checked @ Advance - said it erased any codes, even though I told them the code that was noted. This is a serious safety issue due to car going limp when accelerating on interstate where others are going 70-90 mph. Dealer says nothing they can do d/t no code showing.

AIR BAGS
This August will make two years since my airbags deployed. When closing the passenger door, all of the airbags deployed(with the exception of the dashboard). This normal amount of force caused this to happen. I have also read many complaints with the same issue as mine, and a lot of them are not on the recall list. I want to file this complaint to hopefully bring forward a resolution. Also, around the same time, while traveling to another state, my piston rings failed. They collapsed together. I had to have it “fixed” and towed to a near by auto shop. When I got back on the road, another spark plug failed. When I finally got home with my car, I took it to my local dealership. After taking my entire engine apart, they found that my piston rings failed”collapsed together”. This was a hefty bill. After some more research on my car, I found that this is only one reason why this model of Honda was discontinued. There is a malfunction with the engineering. Driving under normal conditions, vehicle lost power to the drive train, numerous alarms received on dash board. Coasted to stop. turned off engine and restarted. systems returned to normal. drove to dealership and reported incident, diagnostics revealed numerous alarms but no cause. If the incident occurred on the highway in traffic there is the potential for serious harm.

1. Headgasket, fuel injectors, and fuel pump failed on this vehicle. Upon inspection Gwinnett Place Honda responded that this was a very common problem and that they see upwards of hundreds of cars per month equipped with the 1.5 liter turbo charged engine. 2. This affected my safety because during the whole ordeal my car went into a “limp mode” while doing 80mph down a busy highway causing me to rapidly lose speed and most cause a major accident. Unable to get off the road way due to my car shutting off I needed to have bystanders block a lane and push the vehicle off. 3.Yes it has been reproduced by both a Honda dealership and an independent service center 4.Honda stated that they wanted to swap the motor so they could send it to the manufacturer to have it studied, however in return I would be getting a motor with 90,000 miles while having to pay $12,000.00 out of pocket. 5.The car was showing a “Christmas tree” dash with every light on ranging from check engine, power steering, abs, lane mitigation, and climate control. On early mornings the car would have a misfire on startup due to the fuel injectors and during the day it would lose coolant however NOT leak it out.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions, the vehicle lost motive power and was almost rear-ended. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and restarted. The vehicle was restarted, and several unknown warning lights were illuminated, and unknown messages were displayed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

ENGINE
The engine completely stopped while driving on two different occasions, once on I10 freeway and on a busy surface street. Hard to pinpoint the failure either mechanical or electrical. Was inspected by two different Honda dealerships and both found no error messages. On the freeway was extremely dangerous we were lucky to safely get to the shoulder and call AAA. On the most occurrence the engine shut off and caused a traffic jam but after a short time was able to restart with no damage only many angry drivers showing their irritation. There was no prior messages or other symptoms that was evident prior to these two occurrences. Had a safety recall performed yesterday, to inspect high pressure fuel pump and no fault was found. This is definitely a safety related defect and if it happens again i don't know if luck will be with me a third time.
