while driving the vehicle, the driver's seat moves to the furthest position, away from the steering wheel and pedals. The memory position or forward/back control does not work consistently to put the seat in a more comfortable seating position. This is a random occurrence that can happen several times a day everyday or once or twice every other month. It is unsafe during taking off from a light, as the seat moves back I can barely reach the accelerator. During braking, it's harder to apply pressure to the brake pedal. Also, my mirrors are harder to use because of the different seat position. I have an appointment coming up but it will have been well over a month since I told the service department. I have some video of the controls not working after the seat has moved back, but it is harder to get video while the seat is moving back and I'm driving. This has been an issue since SEP 2025 or so, but it has been happening a lot more recently this past month

My 2025 Genesis GV70 stopped accelerating properly. There is a lag when you push on the accelerator pedal and it must be pushed about 75% before it begins to accelerate. When it does accelerate it has much less power than normal. This fault occurs constantly. The car can't accelerate normally at any time now. This is definitely a very serious safety hazard. This behavior has been reproduced by Genesis service personnel. There are no warning lights associated with the problem and no diagnostic codes are signaled. After 24 days the Genesis service personnel have no idea what is wrong.

Left front headlight accumulates significant amount of water that worsens with rain events. Places water in proximity with LED lamps and wiring creating risk of electrical shorts and lamp failure. This is known issue addressed by a Genesis TSB, but no recall has been initiated despite safety concerns,

My vehicle is at the Genesis dealership with what they even consider a common problem. Road debris putting a hole in the unprotected Turbo Intercooler Radiator. This is a safety issue because the loss of power in the vehicle once you lose your turbo. The radiator is very unprotected down at the bottom of the front of the vehicle and Genesis needs to do something about this. This is going to cost me $1500 to fix there not covered by Genesis even though it's a serious design flaw. I know I'm not the first person to report this, as I've seen forum posts about it and the issue is quite common. If it's so common, and it's so vulnerable, there most definitely is a design flaw in the vehicle.

- #11741376June 1, 2026VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:ACCELERATOR PEDAL, AIR BAGS
The contact owned a 2025 Genesis GV70. The contact's spouse stated that while attempting to make a turn, the brake pedal was depressed and the accelerator pedal was inadvertently applied. The contact's spouse was unaware whether any warning lights were illuminated due to the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated, causing the vehicle to crash into a sidewalk and then into a ditch. No injuries were sustained at the time of the crash, and no medical attention was sought immediately following the incident. However, the contact later suffered neck and knee injuries. The contact's spouse stated that none of the air bags deployed during the crash. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and was later deemed a total loss by an independent mechanic. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,100. The VIN was unavailable.

The air conditioning system in my 2022 Genesis GV70 appears to have a recurring evaporator core failure that results in loss of cold air and unsafe driving conditions. The first failure occurred in March 2026 at approximately 60,541 miles. Prior to failure, the vehicle produced a whirring noise and inconsistent temperatures from different vents, eventually stopping the production of cold air entirely. The vehicle was taken to a dealership/service center, where no visible leak was found after a dye test was conducted. The refrigerant was evacuated and recharged, temporarily restoring operation. During that visit, a service representative stated the issue could be related to the evaporator core. The same issue returned only a few months later at approximately 61,500 miles, requiring the vehicle to be brought back to the dealership for service in May 2026. At drop-off, dealership staff again indicated the evaporator core was likely the cause. This defect creates a significant safety concern in hot and humid weather conditions because the air conditioning system is unable to properly dehumidify the cabin and defog the windshield. My visibility while driving was impaired because the windshield fogged during rainy and humid conditions. Opening the windows to reduce fogging was not a practical solution due to heavy rain. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to either failure. Based on my own research, other 2022 Genesis GV70 owners appear to be reporting similar recurring air conditioning and evaporator core failures involving repeated refrigerant loss and temporary recharge repairs that do not permanently resolve the issue.

- #11737577May 13, 2026LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The vehicle has experienced recurring malfunctions involving the electrical system, driver-assistance/safety systems, transmission, braking system, door access sensors, and starting system. Specific issues include sudden braking events, erratic lane assist steering intervention, transmission slipping and gear slamming, intermittent loss of exterior door sensor function, failure of rear hatch access, repeated no-start conditions, dashboard warning messages, and random activation or malfunction of safety sensors. The vehicle and all affected components remain available for inspection upon request. These failures created significant safety risks to myself and others due to unpredictable braking, steering interference, drivability concerns, and the possibility of becoming stranded during interstate travel and adverse weather conditions. Some issues have been reproduced intermittently and documented through dealership service visits, vehicle logs, photographs, videos, and communications with Genesis Consumer Affairs; however, the dealership has indicated that certain conditions were difficult to duplicate consistently, particularly because many failures occur during wet, cold, snowy, or icy weather conditions not present during inspection periods. The vehicle has been inspected by Genesis dealerships, Genesis Consumer Affairs representatives, towing personnel, and is currently involved in a BBB AUTO LINE case. Prior to several failures, warning symptoms included dashboard alerts, abnormal braking sensations, transmission hesitation, intermittent warning lights, service notifications, sensor malfunctions, and inconsistent electrical behavior, which first began appearing at approximately 26,000–30,000 miles and progressively worsened over time.

- #11736088May 6, 2026SERVICE BRAKES
The service brake system has a recurring uneven/abnormal braking issue. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The concern has been reported to a Genesis dealer multiple times. After prior complaints of uneven braking, the dealer resurfaced/cut the rotors several times, but the problem kept returning. New brakes and rotors were installed in November 2025, but the uneven braking concern has continued. The safety concern is that the vehicle may not brake evenly or predictably, which could affect stopping stability and control. The dealer now states they cannot reproduce the concern, but at the same time is recommending another brake/rotor replacement due to uneven wear. This seems inconsistent because the brakes and rotors were recently replaced, and repeated uneven wear may indicate an unresolved issue with the braking system, calipers, rotors, ABS/stability system, suspension, or related components. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer/manufacturer representative. The dealer also stated the lower control arms are fine, but the root cause of the recurring uneven braking has not been clearly identified. No crash or injury has occurred to date. Warning lights or messages are UNKNOWN. I am concerned that the actual defect has not been properly diagnosed and that simply replacing brakes/rotors again may not address the underlying safety issue.

The driver‑side display on my 2026 Genesis GV70 randomly goes black or becomes distorted. This defect is included in Recall No. 26V019. Despite this, Genesis Consumer Affairs and the dealership (Homestead Hyundai/Genesis) refuse to perform the required software update that corrects the issue, claiming the vehicle is “already updated” — a statement that directly contradicts the official Genesis documentation, which I personally obtained. Instead of applying the required software upgrade, the dealership replaced the monitor. The replacement failed in the exact same way, proving the issue is not hardware‑related. When the driver‑side display goes black, I lose critical driving information, creating a clear safety concern. They refuse to update software.

- #11731269April 14, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ENGINE
I leased a 2026 Electric GV70 from Genesis in June 2025. In January of 2026, when driving the car I got a warning sign to stop the vehicle and check the battery supply. At that point, the car went into sever power reduction and would only go 20 MPH or so. After 20-30 minutes, the car completely shut down and became inoperable. Luckily, I was near home and was able to get my car home. I had to have the vehicle towed on wheels as it was completely frozen to the dealership. They diagnosed it as a failure of the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). They replaced the ICCU but identified other issues that to this day are unresolved and my car is still in the shop. These cars were subject to a recall for ICCU failure but only to model year 2025. These ICCUs are continuing to fail on the 2026 models, and at an alarming rate. The head of service at the dealership told me they were dealing with "hundreds" of ICCU failures on Hyundai/Genesis vehicles. If I had been on a highway traveling at higher speeds and the car suddenly lost almost all power and would only drive for another few miles before completely shutting down, it would have created a dangerous situation. These cars need to be recalled - again. Hyundai/Genesis clearly dont know how to make electric cars/battery packs that work and should be held accountable. I believe they are downplaying this situation due to the prior recalls/class action lawsuits and dont want to experience further reputational damage.

This happened in an Enterprise rental car. Now I will be fighting against loss of rental and rental damages to car my insurance company provided because of a claim on my personal vehicle. I was driving northbound 270 merging onto westbound 64 in St. Louis, Mo, when the back windshield spontaneously exploded. I thought it was a gunshot, checked my body for damage; none found. Looked in my rear view mirror and saw the entire back windshield was completely cracked.

When stopped at a stoplight with my foot on the brake and the transmission in drive (D), after 15-30 seconds, the transmission shifts into park and the engine starts. (the autostart was in the default position). This has occurred repeatedly. The the autostart button is pressed and the light is on, the transmission reacts normally. I have a video but it is larger than 10MB

- #11727915March 30, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Driver assist systems, including lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance/braking system, and related exterior sensor systems, are malfunctioning. The lane assist system has taken unintended control of steering, and the braking system has activated without cause. Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle has exhibited unintended braking and steering intervention during normal driving conditions. Most recently, the lane assist system abruptly jerked the steering wheel while passing a side road opening, forcing the vehicle into a curb and causing damage. These unpredictable actions create a high risk of collision, loss of vehicle control, or being struck by other vehicles, especially in active traffic conditions. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The vehicle was brought to the dealership for inspection; however, the issues were not reproduced during testing. Testing occurred under dry weather conditions, while the malfunctions primarily occur in wet, cold, snowy, or icy conditions. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Genesis dealership service department. Genesis Consumer Affairs has been notified and is aware of the reported issues. No other third-party inspections have been performed at this time. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There have been intermittent warning messages & dashboard indicator lights related to driver assist and system functionality. These warnings have appeared inconsistently and not always at the time of the malfunction. The problems began after 30K mi and returning to NY.
