ENGINE
I am having trouble with the gas pedal. When you push the gas petal it makes a sound under neath the Hood. The car does want to move and when I push the gas pedal again it sounds real bad. There is something wrong. Also when you push the button to lock and unlock it makes a sound. So I took it to Freedom Ford in Wise Virginia. They took it back and about an hour this woman that works back there. She told me that the man that looked at it said that he didn’t know what was wrong with it. He said that he would have to get Someone that was an Engineer to help him. The Manager order this vehicle for me on line and put what I wanted on it. Some things wasn’t put on there. So he told me that it would take up to a year and I said that would be ok. Well, I order it toward the end of October 2023. Well In February 2024 I got my truck. There is no way that they could have fixed this vehicle and it pass through the Government. somebody fixed a Lemon. Would you please help me. This is the only 4 wheel vehicle I have. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the Lane Departure feature malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to erroneously steer outside the driving lane and lines. Additionally, after locking the vehicle, it was discovered that only the front driver’s side door had locked, and other doors remained unlocked. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. In reducing the truck's speed, there is a sharp-pitched, loud, one-click sound , when I turn the steering to the right hand side. (This sound seems to come from the driver's left side, between the front door and the rear door.) It happens very often, but not every time.

There is a no sale recall on the back up camera due to freezing but we were sold the vehicle by Freeway Ford in Bloomington, MN. Due to the backup camera freezing there is inability to see directly behind the vehicle only through side mirrors and rear view mirror. The problem was confirmed by the manufacturer and the dealer via phone after selling the vehicle. The specific vehicle has not been inspected but is on a stop sale recall list. No warning or anything.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
On [XXX] I bought new 2024 Ford Maverick XLT Tremor AWD Ecoboost Engine with an 8-SPD Auto Transmission. On [XXX] I experienced a safety failure on this vehicle that put my son and I in a very dangerous situation. While driving on a busy avenue, I stop on a traffic light and I had the vehicle on "Drive" with the brake pressed. When the traffic light turned green I proceeded normally switching from pressing the brake to pressing the gas pedal and it suddenly acted as if it was in "Neutro". The vehicle was on “drive” mode but acted as it was in “neutral”. It didn’t want to move forward. This created a very dangerous situation on this busy avenue. I was stop in the middle of the road. I immediately manually moved the gear to “Parking" and then back to "Drive" and at this time the vehicle started moving normally again. I reported the incident to the dealer where I bought the car (Sheehy Ford of Warrenton) and they stated to me the following: “I do not find any diagnostic trouble codes stored through connected vehicle communication and did not see any relevant technical service bulletins or special service messages published that match your symptoms. I would be happy to set up a time for a diagnostic, or if you'd prefer to wait and see if it happens again just know we're here for you either way”. The wiring harness on this vehicle is made of a soy based material, I had a rodent chew through this coating and my wiring harness, it caused my rear turn signal to go out, I have a 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty on the vehicle but Ford does not cover this, you have to pay to have it fixed yourself and they replace it with the same material, I am worried that it will happen again and again I will have to pay to have it fixed, I feel that Ford should be responsible for this and have it fixed. I found out that Ford is not the only manufacturer that uses this product.

The component that failed on this vehicle was the restraint control module (RCM). It was replaced by the dealer and is not available for inspection. The safety of the driver I believe was at risk due to the vehicle occupant sensor not showing an occupant and only showing a question mark on the dash display. This was also causing an airbag and seat belt indicator light. The problem has been reproduced by a dealer. The problem first showed a rear seat occupant issue and then started showing for the left front seat. Showing an air bag and seat belt indicator.

CV axles make a very concerning, loud noise when driving. Any small bump on the road and it sounds like the front of my truck is going to fall off. When turning, there are loud knocking and clicking sounds coming from the front end, mainly passenger side. Electrical: My radio and head unit restarts randomly, both while driving and when the vehicle is turned off with keys removed from ignition. When it restarts, I hear a popping noise from the speakers, and the screen blacks out.

My wife and I were involved in an accident where we were stopped and a vehicle rear-ended us at approximately 45mph, centered on the rear of the truck. My wife was in the passenger seat and I was driving. My seat collapsed backwards completely, and my wife's seat collapsed within about 2 inches of the rear seat. When mine collapsed, the headrest came out most of the way, and I slid backwards, hitting the top, back of my head on the rear seat just below the head rest, breaking the skin and leaving a mark of blood visible in the photos.

This morning before my drive to work, a service vehicle soon message popped up on the screen. During my drive to work the vehicle began to respond sluggishly and lose power and acceleration on the highway. My safety and the safety of others was put at risk and the vehicle was unable to maintain highway speeds. I was able to make it to work driving at reduced speeds, and after parking the vehicle received a message on my Ford App of a Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power alert. My vehicle was serviced by Ford on 06/20/2024 for a recall related to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
