SummarySome 2019-2023 Edge/Nautilus and 2022-2023 Maverick vehicles equipped with all wheel drive (AWD) may exhibit chatter/shudder during low speed turning events. This may be due to fluid contamination in the rear drive unit (RDU). Drain and refill the RDU, refer to Workshop Manual Section (WSM) 205-02. Drive for 5 miles (8 km) in stop and go conditions with right and left turns and re-evaluate. If the issue is still present, continue with normal WSM diagnostics. For claiming, use causal part 4000.

This may be due to an issue with the passenger seatbelt retractor at connector C303B. If a connection issue is found, replace the passenger front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner assembly before attempting a wiring repair. This issue does not affect the proper operation of the air bags, retractor and pretensioner. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-20A Seatbelt Systems > Removal and Installation. For claiming, use causal part 78611B08 and applicable labor times in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2023 Escape, Corsair, Bronco Sport and Maverick vehicles built on 01-May-2023 and through 22-Sep-2023 may exhibit a squeal and/or grinding noise and/or vibration from the front brakes while braking. This may be due to excessive wheel hub lateral runout. To correct this condition, remove the front brake disc(s) of the affected wheel(s). Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section, 206-03. Clean the raised ring-like surface of the front wheel hub near the wheel studs. Using a dial indicator, slowly rotate the wheel hub and measure the runout on the ring-like surface. If the total runout exceeds 0.001 inch (0.03mm), replace the wheel hub. Refer to the WSM, Section 204-01. Document the measured run out in the warranty claim. For claiming use the causal part number 1104 and applicable labor operations in Section 01 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS)

If the vehicle is going into deep sleep outside these conditions, this may be due to the telematics control unit (TCU) software. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the TCU to the latest software. For claiming, use causal part 14G229 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Summary2020-2023 Escape/Explorer, 2021-2023 F-150 and 2022-2023 Maverick vehicles equipped with a full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) powertrain may exhibit a cable connection error screen from the Midtronics xRC-3363 High Voltage Battery Rescue Charger. The xRC-3363 will prompt the Technician to verify the low voltage connections, when no actual fault is present. The technician will need to delete the WiFi connection from the xRC-3365 so it will not automatically reconnect and adjust the date. Next go to Settings>Shop Information>Date/Time Settings and change the date prior to May 1, 2023 and stay off the internet so it will not auto correct itself. Press and hold the power button until the tool turns off. Then turn the xRC-3365 back on and attempt the rescue charge.

For claiming, use causal part 12A650 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. If the concern persists, refer to Workshop Manual, Section 303-14B and perform Pinpoint Test AA for normal diagnostics.
