Still no remedy from Ford regarding NHTSA Recall Number 23V896. They had stated the resolution would be in place by Q1 2025, and I have still not received any documentation with the fix. They already pushed it back once and looks like they are doing it again as I have waited nearly 2.5 years for a fix since the first bolt broke. This vehicle is not dependable and has no resale value due to this recall not being resolved. Thank you

On three separate occasions when I open my door, I get a “brake fault service soon” notification. I’ve done research and forums say this was a recall in the past. I’m aware my truck doesn’t have any current recalls but it has me wondering if it was ever fixed or if the repair was not good enough. I never owned the vehicle when the original recall came out so I’m not too sure what happened.

Sometimes goes into neutral when accelerating. In a couple seconds, will then find a gear. From a dead stop, will sometimes shift to tenth gear, making it seem like the transmission is in neutral. Hard shift from 1st to 3rd.

I pulled out of my driveway and the truck rapidly downshifted from 5th to second gear upon coming to a stop sign and threw my wife and I up in our seats and me into the steering wheel. . Then upon accelerating to come into the highway the truck RPM went way up but the truck didn’t accelerate and then it slammed into gear and took off. This happened on multiple occasions before I could get it into service.

Rear axle bolt broke while 1,300 miles from home. Recall has been in place for at least 17 months now and still NO repair available from Ford. THIS IS A HAZARD. While driving when the bolt breaks you will lose power which if you were passing in the left lane on a highway at 70MPH it would result in a catastrophic situation. Once transmission gets to operating temperature it shifts funny between 8 9 &10, and when downshifting 7,6 and 5. It's really jerky when downshifting and goes into a kind of neutral on the highway when shifting into 10th

Multiple times now while driving at low speed and usually making a right hand turn, the throttle becomes totally unresponsible to driver input. Pressing the throttle does not increase ICE rpm and does not accelerate the vehicle. This has occured while entering active roadways and has created a dangerous situation multiple times. Someone will be injured with these vehicles, it is only a matter of time if this failure to accelerate issue is not recalled and fixed. The date below is only the last incident. I now have over 120K miles and it has done this well over 50 times.

Ford refuses / is unable to resolve Safety Recall 23S65/23V896. Ford has stated solution will be available by 1st quarter 2025. It is now April 12, 2025 and Ford reports no solution date. Recall 23S65/23V896 is a Safety recall. Ford's description: Safety Risk This may initially result in a clicking noise as the bolt becomes loose and a rattle noise from the wheel cap if the bolt breaks. Vehicles with damaged axle hub splines may roll in park without the parking brake applied, or, alternatively, lose drive power, both of which may increase the risk of injury or a crash.

When driving the truck slips out of gear, most often when coasting at low speed, on at least 3 occasions while waiting for oncoming traffic to clear so I can make left turn across oncoming traffic.I ease forward and when coast is clear i hit the accelerator and the engine Revs up but truck does not accelerate until after I let off of the gas pedal and truck RPM go down and I press on gas again. The truck jerks and then the Transmission Grabs. Also when I'm driving and I Switch from normal mode to sport mode the truck says this option is not available and a little wrench icon shows up on the dash, this happened the first week I when purchased the truck, I took it back to the dealership I bought it from and they solved it. But now this(wrench warning) issue has started occur again and I get a message in my fordpass app. If piwertrain malfunction see dealer. When I take it to a Ford dealer they say that they can't reproduce the problem so in their eyes there is no issue, and a week later light comes back on, so I park the truck and make apartment with dealership but the next morning when I get in and start the truck the issue is gone the service power train light goes away. It happens at least 2 times a month lately, and I can't afford to pay the Ford Dealers $400.00 again just to tell me that they can't recreate the issue. Also my recall 23v896 has yet to be addressed and I think this(Powertrain)issue has something to do with it, im hearing the sound that the recall warns about. But all I get from Ford Dealers is a $400.00 BILL.

My 2023 Ford F-150 3.5 eco boost with 35,000 approx. started having issues about 2000 miles ago with the transmission. It tends to slip gears between 3-4, 4-5 and 9-10. Sometimes it isn’t bad but other times it feels like the transmission is going to drop out from the truck. I also have an issue where the truck shifts into neutral while driving but still displays it is in drive. This doesn’t happen often but 4 times now in 2,000 miles. When this occurs I can’t put the truck back into drive and go, I have to stop, turn off the engine and wait from 5-10 minutes before I can drive away. When these issues occur there is no check engine light and the dealer said there are no snapshots recorded.

power steering assist randomly stops working. has been going on for a while. The fault clears by stopping, shutting off the truck and restarting it. last time it occurred 05APR2025, it would not clear. Had to drive to dealer without power assist.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a recurring water intrusion issue with my vehicle, which poses a potential safety risk. Whenever it rains and the vehicle is parked outside, water consistently leaks into the passenger-side interior. While driving, especially during acceleration or braking, I can hear the sound of water moving within the passenger side area. Upon inspection, I have found water pooling in the front passenger footwell, where multiple electrical wires are located. Additionally, there is an electrical control box situated beneath the passenger seat that may also be exposed to moisture. I also discovered water leaking behind the rear seat area. This section contains two air vents, which may be contributing to the issue. The water intrusion raises serious concerns about electrical system integrity, especially given the presence of wiring and components in affected areas. Although my vehicle has not yet experienced electrical failure while driving, I am aware of multiple reports from other owners who have encountered similar leaks that led to sudden engine shutdowns, including while driving in traffic — a serious safety hazard. I brought my vehicle to the service center for evaluation, but as of now, I have not received any resolution or updates regarding a fix. I have several videos of the situation as well. Given the potential risk to both vehicle occupants and others on the road, I respectfully request that the NHTSA investigate this matter further to determine whether a recall or other safety action is warranted. Thank you for your attention to this serious issue.

- #11653801April 10, 2025VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
My brand new truck with 3500 miles when the cruise control is set to a speed the truck will randomly accelerate un commanded. This occurs when for no reason the cruise control will select 95 MPH if you at 75 MPH. It will do this at any speed selected. This uncommanded speed can occur multiple times within minutes or can late as long as 30 minutes. Also this uncommanded speed can also occur at lower speed set in the cruise control. This can only be corrected by hitting the brake. This is especially dangerous in traffic and on curves. This has happened in both places as well as on long stretches. I almost rear ended a car in front of me in traffic as I was going 55 and when the speed changed to 95 the truck floored the accelerator with full engine power.
