SummarySome 2018-2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a TCU may exhibit inoperative remote features via Ford Pass/Lincoln Way mobile app, incomplete user authorization and/or accessory protocol interface module (APIM) DTC U0198 or no modem electronic serial number (ESN) displayed. To correct this condition, remove the TCU fuse for 5 minutes prior to programing. Delete all previous session files for the vehicle and do not install the TCU fuse until a new IDS session has been started. Once the new session has been started and the fuse reinstalled, the TCU can be programmed. Make sure you are connected to the internet before retesting. If the concern is still present, follow normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00. Refer to PTS OASIS home page for TCU version identification. For claiming, use causal part 14G229.

SummarySome 2017-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F650-750 with 6.7L diesel engines, 2015-2019 Transit with 3.2L diesel engines and 2018-2019 F-150 with 3.0L diesel engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P206C in the powertrain control module (PCM). Review of repair data supports that P206C is often the result of incorrect diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) concentration. Per Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Pinpoint Test (PPT) RJ, a DEF concentration reading below 28% will set P206C and cause vehicle derate. If low concentration is suspected, drain fluid and replace with known good DEF before replacing any parts. Low concentration of DEF is not a warrantable condition.

SummarySome 2016-2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 and a 6, 8 or 10 inch screen may show a pop-up message every key cycle that states 'SYNC can check for updates when connected to a WiFi network'. To remove the inconvenience of the pop-up the customer can either connect to a trusted WiFi network to complete the setup process or turn off WiFi in the WiFi settings located under the Settings menu. Adjusting the setting for the customer is not a warrantable defect.

SummarySome 2019 Mustang, Continental, Fusion, MKZ, F150, Edge or MKX with SYNC 3 may have a symptom of a rear view camera that remain on the screen when moving forward above 5MPH or a solid blue screen once the vehicle is at cruising speed. To eliminate this symptom from occurring, it is recommended to disable the Wi-Fi in the settings menu by selecting Automatic updates. Shut off system WIFI and then disable automatic updates. If the vehicle is stuck in the rear camera state you can exit this state by shutting the vehicle off and powering the system down for at least three minutes. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.

SummarySome 2016-2019 F-150 vehicles may exhibit DTC C0051 in the ABS module. This DTC compares steering angle between the power steering control module (PSCM) and ABS and may set due to towing, driving in heavy winds, loose suspension or steering gear components, alignment, or harness or connector concerns with the ABS or PSCM circuits. The ABS pinpoint tests AE, LA, or LB may direct a replacement of the PSCM after disconnecting/reconnecting PSCM connectors. Do not replace the PSCM using ABS Pinpoint tests AE, LA, LB. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section, 211-02 to locate the correct PSCM pinpoint tests for the PSCM DTCs that are retrieved during the PSCM self-test. The ABS pinpoint tests are in the process of being updated.

SummarySome 2018-2019 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine built on or before 19-Oct-2018 may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P2457 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to missing or loose screws in exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system bypass module. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-08E. If no concerns are present with the bypass module screws, refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual for normal diagnostics. SummaryFor 2010-2019 vehicles equipped with turbocharged engines, when diagnosing and/or replacing turbo related concerns, all steps within the Workshop Manual (WSM) procedure must be followed including replacement of all mandatory discarded parts. For all turbocharged engine applications, the turbocharger oil supply filter (6C683 gas engine/6L625 connector style or 6A968 diesel engine) must be replaced whenever the turbocharger or the turbocharger oil supply tube are replaced. Turbocharger bearing failure may occur if oil starvation occurs due to a restricted filter.

Summary2013-2019 vehicles equipped with a LKS system with customer complaints of steering wheel vibration, steering pull or vehicle drift may be due to an alert and/or steering aid input from the LKS. The LKS system detects unintentional drifting toward the outside of the lane and alerts and/or aids vehicle to stay in the lane. Be sure the customer understands how the lane departure warning feature settings work for Alert (steering wheel vibration) and Aid (steering input toward lane center). Further information on the LKS can be found in the owners manual. If the customers concern is due to the LKS functioning as intended, do not attempt to repair.

SummarySome 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit concerns related to brake drag. Utilize Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics in section 206-00 to verify the correct installation of the stoplamp switch. Improper adjustment of the stoplamp switch can cause the brake pedal assembly to lightly apply the brakes resulting in dragging condition.

SummarySome 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with BLIS that have had the pickup box removed for upfitter modification may exhibit a BLIS warning message in the message center with no associated DTCs. Using the appropriate Ford scan tool at the latest level, re-configure the BLIS system to correct this concern. These settings can be found under toolbox > module programming > programmable parameters > warning lamps and chimes and must be adjusted in multiple modules. Details can be found on the truck body builder advisory service (BBAS) website, found by clicking the link at the bottom of the webpage at https://www.fleet.ford.com. Once at the BBAS website, click on bulletins, and refer to published qualified vehicle modifier (QVM) bulletin for BLIS warning programming. Changes the BLIS configuration as a result of upfitter modifications are non-warrantable.
