This article supersedes TSB 22-2428 and 23-2176 to update the Issue, Action and Service Procedure. Some 2017-2023 F-150, 2018-2023 Expedition/Navigator/Mustang, 2019-2023 Ranger, 2020-2023 Explorer/Aviator/Transit and 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 10R60/10R80/10R80MHT transmission may exhibit a harsh/delayed engagement and/or harsh/delayed shift, an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0751, P0752, P0756, P0757, P0761, P0762, P0766, P0767, P0771, P0772, P2700, P2701, P2702, P2703, P2704, P2705, P2707, P2708, P0729, P0731, P0732, P0733, P0734, P0735, P0736, P076F, P07D9, P07F6 and/or P07F7 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) or transmission control module (TCM). This may be due to the software in the powertrain control module (PCM) or transmission control module (TCM), the transmission solenoid ID strategy, sticking valves in the main control valve body and/or axial movement of the CDF clutch cylinder (7H351) sleeve. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to identify and correct the condition.

Summary
Some 2021 F-150 vehicles not equipped with a 360 camera system (feature code J3KAB, found by double-clicking the top left vehicle identification number (VIN) on OASIS) may exhibit an inoperative rear camera on demand feature when the rear camera button is pressed. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that a Ford Power-Up software update correcting this condition is currently being delivered OTA. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings and the OTA is scheduled by the customer using the center display screen. Schedule a service visit in November 2023 for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or report they did not receive the update by November 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

In various 2017-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, customers may receive a message in the FordPass or LincolnWay App stating Feature Unavailable. Since this is a fleet vehicle, it cannot access the (SYNC Connect) FordPass or LincolnWay app through the TCU Embedded Modem. If this message appears, the vehicle may be equipped with a fleet telematics module. Replacement of the TCU or TCU related repairs will not prevent this message from appearing. Refer the customer to in app FordPass Guides or LincolnWay Concierge Teams to aid with fleet telematics removal. Open app, select Account > Help > CHAT or CALL option.

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a no crank/no start with a battery draw and air conditioning (A/C) clutch engaged at all times. This may be due to an opened diode in the A/C clutch field coil damaging the output driver in the body control module C (BCMC). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the BCMC and A/C clutch field coil assembly.

Summary
Some F-Super Duty and F-150 vehicles equipped with trailer tow mirror may exhibit various exterior rear view mirror functional concerns that require replacement after diagnosis. To properly determine if the defect is warrantable, cleaning and close inspection of the affected mirror may be required. To aid in proper warranty determination, the Rear-View Mirror Analysis general service bulletin (GSB) has been updated with a detailed cleaning procedure that should be followed prior to any inspection. New labor operations (17682ZZ or 17682ZZT) have been created that covers the cleaning and inspection process and may be used even if condition of failure is non-warrantable. Ford has inspected numerous returned parts and determined many cases are caused by damage which is unwarrantable and may be subject to chargeback. Refer to the latest version of the GSB on OASIS.

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit an inoperative windshield wiper motor condition with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B130F:12 and/or B130F:14 stored in the body control module (BCM), and/or B1131:02 stored in the steering column control module (SCCM). This may be due to the connection at the windshield wiper motor connector. Refer to the Wiring Diagram, Cell 150 - Connector Views, C125 (Windshield Wiper Motor). Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-16, Wipers and Washers, Diagnosis and Testing, Pinpoint Test A has recently been updated to provide new direction for this diagnosis. Refer to the WSM, Section 501-16, Wipers and Washers, Diagnosis and Testing, Pinpoint Test A for applicable diagnosis.

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a direct current/alternating current converter module A (DCACA) inverter (minor feature code HUKAK) may exhibit an illuminated tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B124D stored in the BCM. This may be due to the DCACA inverter causing radio frequency interference (RFI). To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to confirm if the inverter is the source of RFI and mitigate the interference.

Some 2020-2021 Escape built on/before 23-Nov-2021, 2021 F-150 built on/before 08-Oct-2021, 2021 Mustang Mach-E built on/before 29-Mar-2021, 2021 Expedition built on/before 05-Aug-2021, 2021 Explorer built on/before 27-Sep-2021 and 2020-2022 Edge may exhibit a concern of the audio system does not power on, no sound from audio speakers, chimes default to coming through the instrument cluster, no communication with audio control module (ACM) or digital signal processor (DSP) module, and/or diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0184, U0237 and/or U0238. To correct the condition, perform a hard reset of the DSP by disconnecting the 12-volt battery. Reprogram the DSP module using the latest version of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 18B849 and any applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards Manual.

Summary
Some 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E/F-150, 2022-2023 Expedition/Navigator and 2023 Corsair vehicles may exhibit a Driver Monitoring Camera Blocked message and/or DTCs B115E:97, B15E1:97 and/or B15E2:97 stored in the driver status monitor camera module (CMR). These DTCs should be disregarded unless it is a DTC with a status byte 8F. Other status bytes should be disregarded as they may be caused by a camera obstruction such as driver position, aftermarket devices or dust on the camera. To clear the DTCs, remove anything obstructing the view of the camera and light emitting diodes (LEDs), place the steering wheel in the center position and close the driver door. Connect Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) and clear the DTCs. Turn the ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Turn the ignition on and wait 1 minute. Perform the CMR self-test and reevaluate if DTCs persist.
