When diagnosing and repairing brake noise conditions, use the Workshop Manual (WSM) and the appropriate pinpoint test in section 206-00. The brake rotors should only be machined if directed by the WSM because one or more of the following conditions are present on the braking surface: scoring, excessive corrosion/rust or pitting, bluing/discoloration and/or heat spots. If possible, record the device serial number by selecting the gear icon from the home screen, then Settings, scroll to Device and Software, select About, then Your TV and the serial number will be shown on the right-hand side. If the unit will not power up, the serial number is on the label on the back of the monitor. It may also be beneficial to know the date the issue occurred, how long the monitors were on prior to the issue, what was being done (streaming video, high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI), what apps) and if the fundamental operating system (FOS) version was recently updated. This may be due to software incompatibility between the replacement main control valve body solenoid strategy file and the PCM/TCM software. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to enter only the 13-digit solenoid body strategy when downloading transmission strategy.

SummarySome 2021-2022 F-150 3.5L PowerBoost, 2022 F-150 Lightning and 2022 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator and stability-traction control indicator and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1013:09 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to ABS module software parameters. This condition does not affect brake system hydraulic functionality. Clear the DTC to restore ABS functionality. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via an over the air (OTA) software update expected in November 2022. Software will update automatically if the vehicle is connected to FordPass/LincolnWay. Monitor OASIS for additional information. Schedule a service appointment for customers that are not connected to FordPass/LincolnWay once the repair becomes available.

A touch-beep may be heard when pressing the center display screen in screen region where a soft button is expected to be displayed even though nothing is displayed on the center display screen. This concern may be intermittent and resetting the SYNC module (APIM) may temporarily restore screen function. To correct this condition, follow the Workshop Manual Section 415-00 to replace the 15.5 inch center display screen. For claiming, use base part 10D885 and the applicable labor operations of Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2018-2022 Ford/Lincoln vehicles equipped with a wireless charging pad may exhibit one of the following if the customer is using a Magsafe iPhone (iPhone 12 or 13): slow charging, inoperative, notification that the phone has been mispositioned on the charging pad and/or the phone charging icon in the center screen display is not showing. This may be due to a compatibility issue between the customer's phone and the wireless accessory charging module (WACM) that may make it difficult for Ford and Lincoln vehicles to wirelessly charge these specific phones. The phone can still be charged using the USB cable if the vehicle experiences the above symptoms. If the customer is using a Magsafe iPhone such as an iPhone 12 or 13, verify the wireless charging pad works with a Qi certified phone prior to any part replacements.

SummarySome 2017-2022 Ford/Lincoln customers may experience a notification in the FordPassÃÂÃÂÃÂî/LincolnWayÃÂÃÂÃÂî app indicating Vehicle Has Entered Deep Sleep Mode. This occurs when the vehicle has not been started for 14 consecutive days, battery voltage is at/below 9.5 volts or the body control module (BCM) 12 volt battery state of charge (SOC) drops below 50%. A warning may also set if the telematic control unit (TCU) has received an over the air update. The TCU powers down all communication when in this mode and app features are disabled. Manually start the vehicle to wake if from mode. More information is located in the app under: Account > Help > search 'Deep Sleep' in the entry box. If the condition remains, check the BCM 12v SOC. If the SOC does not change after charging the battery or after BMS reset is performed, continue with normal battery and/or BMS sensor diagnostics.
