BOTH SLIDING DOORS ARE LOCKED AND CAN'T BE OPENED MANUALLY OR AUTOMATICALLY OUR KIDS AND PASSENGERS CAN'T EXIT SAFELY IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT OR FIRE. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED AND WARRANTY EXTENTED-DEALER CHARGED $155 AND TOLD US THAT THE DOOR BEING LOCKED AND NOT BEING ABLE TO OPEN IS NOT THE ISSUE BUT THE LATCH IS DEFECTIVE. (WE DON'T BELIEVE THIS TO BE TRUE) THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY MANUFACTURER AND WE RECIEVED A LETTER DIRECTING US TO TAKE THE CAR IN FOR REPAIRS FOR THESE ISSUES. THE POWER LOCK ACTUATOR MADE A CLICKING/BUZZING SOUND AS DESCRIBED IN THE LETTER FROM FCA US LLC BEFORE GOING BAD. WE ARE TRYING OUR BEST TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE BECAUSE WE HAVE THREE KIDS THAT ARE DAILY PASSENGERS.

Passenger side active headrest deployed on its own while driving. No accident or collision involved. 16 year old son was seated in the passenger side seat when the headrest deployed on its own. Luckily no injury to my son. Want to report this issue to prevent any possible injuries that may arise due to malfunction deployment of active headrest. Researched online and discovered that this is an ongoing issue with Chrysler/Dodge vehicles and is not covered under warranty. Will have to search for a used replacement part since dealership cost for repair is too costly.

The trunk has opened several times usually at night where we find it in the morning open and creating a serious security problem with access to the car available. The vehicle has remote key control to the trunk and doors opening. Since we live in Huber Heights , Ohio We are aware that there is a lot of Military Air Traffic at night since we are close to Wright Patterson Air Base and once in a while we find the TV on in the front room.

My family and I were on a hike in the mountains, and when we got back to our car, the drivers headrest had popped out of itself. We tried to see if we could fix it, but it busted out with such force that it broke parts. When I looked this up, it appears that this is a pretty common occurrence with our make and model, and others have actually had it happen when they are in the seat and been injured! Thank God we weren’t driving through the mountains when it happened! This is a serious issue and I couldn’t believe that nothing had been done to create a recall, especially after finding a report about the same issue with the same vehicle online from October 2019 (almost FOUR years ago) by [XXX] , stating that the government was researching this issue after several people were injured. Apparently this is a safety feature that is built to prevent whiplash in an accident, but is activating without provocation in many vehicles, if it’s not offsetting whiplash, could this not CAUSE whiplash?! This needs to be addressed as a recall and fixed for others before it causes a serious car accident (if it hasn’t already) or kills someone. This is completely unacceptable. The van started shaking on a trip. Codes P0172 and P0175 have been on for nearly 2 months. Many parts have been replaced. Spark plugs, o2 sensor, fuel injectors, ignition coils, and battery. The mechanic replaced gaskets and fuel pump. Codes won't go away. The van randomly takes multiple time to start. It shudders and has acceleration issues when the fuel I low.

The door locking actuator failed. The door will no longer open from the inside or out. It’s essentially stuck locked. There was a loud buzzing noise which now I know was the warning signal for the actuator starting to go bad.

The passenger's side sliding door lock switch is stuck in the locked position, so I can't open that door. There is a huge safety issue because the passengers can't open that door to exit, in case of an emergency. The car manufacturer issued a recall (Mopar X98) for this very same issue but it didn't include my car serial number, because my car is newer by about a month. So, they don't want to honor the recall on my car.

The car SHUTS OFF while DRIVING NO MATTER THE SPEED!!! The vehicle also pops out of gear when it shuts off. You have to use the emergency release button to change the gear to put it in park to try to start it again, which usually takes a little while to get it started. The safety hazard could be FATAL to the driver and whomever may rear-end the vehicle due it shutting off and loosing power steering and the brakes. This vehicle is currently at the dealership for the second time. They say that they cannot find the problem. I looked online for fixes and found HUNDREDS of complaints of the same issue for this same vehicle with no fix due to everyone being told they cannot find the problem. This could be FATAL!

Ignition module failed, causing van to stall while driving. The stall forced the vehicle to lose power steering and it had to coast over to the shoulder to get out of traffic, this could’ve resulted in a crash or blocking traffic. This happened twice, once during a very hot day. The van was able to restart after about 30 minutes and finished the short distance to the destination. The second time was at night when temps had cooled 20 degrees and it stalled at approximately the same distance it had traveled the first time. That time it was not able to be restarted and had to be towed to a repair shop, where they tested and replaced the ignition module. No warning lights or indicators went off either time prior to the engine stall. The check engine light did not come on until the second time when it would not start again.

The active head restraint deployed on it's own. I was stopped at a light and the headrest slammed into the back of my head. I was alone in the vehicle, and nothing struck the seat or my vehicle. Upon inspection, the plastic clips that hold the metal bar in place have broken. It caused a headache and neck pain, as it jarred me unexpectedly. This affected my safety, and had I been moving at the time it could have caused an accident, putting others at risk as well. I called the dealer I purchased the vehicle from and was quoted over $600 for the part (replacement headrest) and labor, but have not taken it in for them to inspect it. There were no claims filed, so no inspections have occurred. There were no warnings, neither lights or messages, or any other problems with any part of the driver's seat. It just exploded.

Vehicle requires repair for Transmission part failure at 69,000 miles. Multiple mechanics and online complaint records show transmission issues as a common problem for this make and model. Owners should not be facing a major engine repair of over $3500 when the vehicle is 5 years old and just past the power train warranty period.

My vehicle has the Pentastar engine tick indicative of a rocker arm issue. I’ve been having performance issues with the vehicle at only 124,000 miles and less. It’s escalating to the point in afraid of complete engine failure while I’m driving. This is a known issue with these vehicles and needs to be repaired by Dodge as it’s a manufacturing defect.
