The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would hesitate upon the depression of the accelerator with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed with a defective power steering system. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

My car's check engine light came on. I took the car to my personal mechanic because it is out of warranty. My mechanic told me that I had a service bulletin issued for the problem I am having, which is cylinder #4 misfire. The service bulletin is 09-002-14 Rev B. It extends the warranty to 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. I was told by the dealer and Chrysler Customer Care that my vehicle was not part of this service bulletin, even though I am experiencing the same issue as the other Chrysler 200s that are. I believe my car should be covered under this bulletin especially since Chrylser knew this problem existed since 2014, right after I bought my vehicle, 7/2013. I should have been informed at the time. The service bulletin does not exclude any vehicle. It says Models, not specific models. This repair will cost me over $3,000 and I believe Chrysler should uphold the service bulletin and fix my car. I talked to one customer service representative and that person didn't understand why my car wasn't covered but never called me back like she said she would. I called again and was told my car was not part of this service bulletin. All Chrysler 200s should be part of this service bulletin if they experience the same issue as others.

Driving and the car just completely shuts off and/or malfunctions. It’s been when I’m slowing down to make a turn. The computer system/car shuts off and it’s impossible to get it turned back on for 1-4 minutes. Very dangerous and almost gotten into an accident twice now.

SEAT BELTS:FRONT
The contact owned a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH and making a left turn, another vehicle crashed into the front passenger’s side of the vehicle. After the contact regained consciousness, he became aware that his head had struck the passenger’s side windshield and was thrown across the vehicle during the incident. The contact stated that the seat belt was still latched; however, had failed to secure him in place during the crash. The contact stated that his passenger seated on the rear passenger’s side was uninjured. The contact sustained injuries to where his left knee was fractured open, a fractured back with ten crushed discs. Medical attention was sought. There was a occupant seated at the rear passenger side at the time of the incident however they did not sustain any injuries. A police report was filed. The air bags did deploy. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

As I’m approaching a steeper hill I go from 25 to 20MPH as I try to turn the corner of the hill I feel the speed of the vehicle picking up as I’m trying to slow down without slamming on the brakes the vehicle takes off hits the curb then a utility pole before coming to a complete stop

Body control module wasnt working took it to the dealership did a diagnostic and it said body control module needed replaced we paid to buy this part and to have it put in and it still didnt work i have the receipts for this the dealership then wanted us to pay for more dignostics and parts and still isnt working there is a recall on this just want my car to be fixed and running properly and be safe on the road.still a problem with the vehicles high communication which tells me if its not communicateing the part to the vehicle theres a problem in the electrical . there should be nothing going wrong the car is only 7 years old .I have been trying to get to the bottom of this the dealership Grand Bay Area jeep chrysler has been of no help what so ever .2 recalls already campain #15V470000 recall #R24 And campaign #14 V480000 RECALL#P43. And on7/23 for an exploytation of the software and the antilocking brake system is not working properly. This whole situation is not good I desperatly need help all of these problems are safety issues

Everyone single one of these issues as stated on the websites (carcomplaints.com and chryslerproblems.com) and in other's complaints has happened since the day after I bought is from a so-called dealership (road side flip shop) in January 2022. As stated "There are no warning lights, sounds, or visual cues to indicate any sort of problem." The engine just turns off and the gas pedal hits the floor not allowing acceleration. "In addition to the engine stalling, the power steering and brake assist shuts down." "It doesn’t trigger any error codes for an OBD-II reader, meaning technicians won’t be able to diagnose the problem Once the car is disabled, there are varying reports about being able to restart the engine. Some say the car will restart right away like nothing ever happened, while others say they've been left on the side of the road waiting for their ignition to respond." This has happened on a nearly weekly basis since purchasing, sometimes multiple times in the week. Absolutely NO warning signs, the engine just shuts off. It has randomly died at stop signs, red lights, in intersections and on the highway in high speed traffic. Once while my elder mother was driving to pick me up from the airport and other times while my significant other was in the car driving he's 5 yr old daughter home from school, the latest one this previous evening and he reported to me that 2 cars had to quickly veering around them at the last second. It was absolutely terrifying for him with his child in the car. After multiple visits to mechanics for the issue 2 diagnostic tests with no codes and no code history, and a fuel pump replacement that did nothing and numerous roadside calls .One mechanic was kind enough to state the vehicle has recalls for stalling issues and gave screen shots from his end. I called the number on the recall notices for Chrysler directly and was rudely informed that there were not "active" recalls on the car and that the previous ones, N52 and N02 are void

Multiple times the engine power steering and brake assistance will go out without warning. This has happened at intersections and has also happened on an extremely busy highway where I was nearly hit multiple times. When this happens the car will not start up immediately. After waiting approximately 30 minutes the car will finally restart again. I have taken it to the dealership and they cannot replicate the issue nor can they provide a solution.

I have had my 2015 Chrysler 200 for about a year now and ever since I have had it. it has acted weird. Evetime I am driving down a hill at a slow pace, i loose power as if my car just switched to Neutral. It also jerks a lot when I am stopped on a hill going up and I start to go, then it will jerk like its delayed in the gears. I am very concerned for my safety. I have seen other recalls similar to this and I am hoping we can get this one on a recall as well. I have not had my car inspected yet because I cant afford it.

I have to start my car and let it run for 20 minutes at least at a time to get the temperature gauge to have 4 or 5 notches, before I can take off or it will immediately die.. no matter the temperature outside I can't just ever get in it and go or it will just shut off. It's like I quit giving it the gas. It starts back up usually after 2 tries. It acts like I'm not giving it gas, just stops..

At first the car started making chirping sound on the right side when ever the car idles. One day I was driving and it shut down while I was driving and the check engine light and electrical light came on, i finance the car and they do the repairs under warranty no electrical repairs. They did repairs to the engine they claim and the problem still persists when the engine shuts off while I’m driving. the brakes lock up and the steering wheel locks up. And you can’t change the gears to park the car. I literally drive with my hand on the emergency break out of anxiety, after it shuts off, the odometer and rpm meter both drop at the same time when it occurs, and after waiting for it to come back on the rpm struggles to go over the “1” I have to wait 20mins for the car to start back up every time. I got the car 03/25/2021 @ 130,800 miles. The car isn’t even at 150,000 miles meaning It’s only driven about 20k miles and this is happening & apparently only had 1 other owner. Not sure how true it is. hI’ve already fixed the suspension issues on the car 670$. The engine repairs were under warranty I want to say over 3k in repairs they claim, the picture I’ve added is of the check engine light it goes away the next day I’ve only been driving the car when I need to so I don’t cause a bigger problem. THE 2016 CHRYSLER 200 has a defect in it , the drain hoses become plugged and flood the interior of the car. There is no easy way to access these hoses without taking apart the cowl under the hood of the car and removing the windshield wipers to access the drain. It has happened now three times costing 500 each time to have it cleaned and blown out ... There needs to be something done about this . As it can cause electrical problems in the car with all the water that floods in through the heater area... Chrysler is well aware of this problem all the way back to the Sebring yet they have done nothing to correct it . They ever tell the buyer that this need to be cleaned and they really provide no access to the owner to clean the area without disassemble of the cowl area and windshield wipers. Which is more than most buyers can do , when you take it to Chrysler they tell you its Maintenace . Yet it is no where in the book Nore covered by their Maintenace package. It will rot out the car Floor boards and will cause the car to be worth less .... Chrysler should have to make this right with all owners either offering a free cleaning every year of a rebate on their vehicle
