Reduced engine power, code P0014. Camshaft actuator oil control valve bolt stuck open. All the signs and symptoms per bulletin released by NHSTA to repair if not sold yet. Extremely hazardous when accelerating to get on highway and engine power reduces.

On [XXX] I shifted my 2021 Chevy Trailblazer to park and and was unable to shut off the vehicle. When I shifted it to park it kept displaying an error "Shift to Park" on the dashboard, but the shifter knob was correctly in park. I attempted to press the power button to turn off the car and it wouldnt do anything but beep. I tried multiple times to shift to park to get the car to recognize it was actually in park and turn off the vehicle but I was unable to do so. I was frantic and panicked to find I could not turn off my vehicle as I park on a apartment complex lot. That day I took the car to Henna Chevrolet in Austin Tx for repair. They said the part was on backorder from GM with no ETA. It is now November 1st and there is still no ETA on when I will get the part for my car from GM. The contact’s daughter owns a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that on several occasions when shifted to park(P), the gear shift indicator failed to show the vehicle in park(P). The contact stated that the gear shifter was slammed into park(P) until park was registered on the shift indicator. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the gear shifter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 46,000.

SERVICE BRAKES
I have a 2023 trailblazer rs bought brand new. Currently has 12776 miles on it and for atleast the last 5000 miles I've noticed the breaks squeeling. Esp when I'm going slow speeds. I first thought maybe it was the weather or something. Moisture..whatever because this car is so new I just brushed it off. But it has progressively gotten worse and louder. Which is super frustrating when I'm picking my kids up in the pick up line and my car sounds 15+ years old when I'm rolling through and have to keep breaking. Squeeling in mine and everyone else's ear. I want this looked into a fixed. I had 2 kias before this that the engines blew from recalls they didn't wanna fix until it was to late. I'm a single mom who pays way to much to have a nice reliable car for there to be having issues already. I will be bringing it up to the dealership at my upcoming oil change. I refuse to be worried about the safety or reliability of this expensive new car..hauling my kids around.

My daughter was stopped at a stoplight and the auto-stop engaged. The light turned green and she began to accelerate when all of the error lights on the dash lit up, then the dash info system and infotainment system went out followed by the engine turning off and not restarting. While all of this happened, the vehicle behind me struck my daughter’s car. Luckily it was at a low rate of speed and no one was injured. I took the car to the dealer and after nearly a week of testing they found nothing wrong and found no error codes in the system. They ere not able to replicate the problem. However, once we got the vehicle back a similar instance happed again, except just the dash info system and infotainment system went out and the car was still drivable. Once restarted the electronics came back on as normal. It has not happened again at this point. Had the first incident happened at a higher rate of speed a severe injury or fatality could have occurred.

POWER TRAIN
When attempting to park the car I am able to shift into park, however, I get a message on the dashboard to “shift to park”. Dashboard also shows a “p” to reflect car is in park creating a contradiction on the dashboard of displayed items. When this occurs the car will not shut off. Dealer service has indicated this is not producing an error code, they have had many complaints, and the issue is not covered by power train warranty and part is back ordered. I am very concerned about the safety of my vehicle given the indicated failures of the shifting mechanism and Chevrolets inability to remedy the issue due to unavailable parts.

After placing the vehicle in park I get the “shift to park error”. I can’t leave the vehicle, or lock it. It can take any where from 5 to thirty minutes for it to actually read the shift. My car is now not reading my key 80% percent of the time. The vehicle turns off while driving down the road. Saying no “remote detected”. The key has been locked in the Car twice. Which should be impossible. I’ve been stranded outside of my vehicle at night in Atlanta for long periods of time. Trying to get the vehicle to unlock because it is not reading the key.

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving 3-65 MPH there was an abnormal squealing sound detected. When the brake pedal was applied, the vehicle shuddered and skipped. There seemed to be a pulsation in the brakes. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to Bulletin Number 22-NA-026: The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined there was 10 percent braking. There was devitt in the rear brakes and rotors. The caliper pin placement was off. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined the brakes needed to be replaced and resurfaced. The brakes were replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

For about a month now my vehicle is telling me to put it in park when it is already in park. Have to restart multiple times and go through all the gears put it back in park turn it off and still get the "shift to park" error. It does not happen every time I use my vehicle, but it happens so much I am unsure if it is safe to use. Even though it shows it is in park I wonder is it really? I have called the dealer where I purchased it for them to look at it and they will not even schedule an appointment because they say the parts are on back order and they have no idea when they will get them. This is the first brand new car I have purchased and after having a lot of secondhand vehicles I went back to Chevy. I am very disappointed in Chevy it only has 23000 miles on it, and they are not doing anything to fix this, I would not recommend Chevy/GMC to anyone.

I was driving my 1 week old vehicle, on a city street, foot still on the gas, and the vehicle COMPLETELY shut down; no power at all. it wasn't the auto start/stop technology, but rather a complete power down. no lights, no hazard lights, no dash, nothing worked. The car came to an abrupt stop. The gear shift could not be moved into neutral, nothing. Luckily I was on a city street with not a lot of traffic. If I had been on a highway it could have caused a SERIOUS accident; if I had been driving across railroad tracks and it stops - very dangerous. I was able to contact AAA, and after a "jump", it started. However, because of my proximity to the highway, I opted to have it towed to the dealer where I bought it....they ran service on it and can find nothing wrong with it...as you can imagine, I am nervous to drive on the highway (which I do 5 days a week normally)...

See Prior Report 11603493 on 7/19/2024. [XXX] Engine. light on -Stabiltrak Stability - Control System Requires your attention NOW. Cernohous Chevrolet "repaired". Then [XXX] Engine light on again. Cernohous Chevrolet" repaired." [XXX] Engine light on for the 3rd time. They have had my 2024 Trailblazer since [XXX]. It might be a wiring issue or switch needs replaced per Ron Murphy and Jack. I am concerned this vehicle purchased new - cash- is a lemon. Other than yes the Engine light is on - no one can tell me the meaning and correct it. How serious - Dangerous to drive ??? SUSPENSION
The rear shocks on the 2021 trailblazer are faulty and are blowing out causing the rear tires to bounce and eat away at the tread exposing cords becoming a safety hazard. The rear shocks blowing out is happening on several 2021 Trailblazers causing there to be a national back order leaving these vehicles and drivers to be at risk of serious accidents and injuries.

While in traffic, brand new 2024 Chevy Trailblazer vehicle has stalled on us a few times now and doesn't start right back up. It appears to happen when the vehicle is going from the fuel saving "start-stop mode" and we've found ourselves in a precarious situtations in traffic. I can foresee this happening at a very dangerous time causing a bad wreck. We just dropped the vehicle off with the dealer as we've had other issues with safety deterrent system going off for no reason and other pop ups on the instrument panel. However, the stalling in the middle of traffic is my worst concern.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - The shift lever/gear control malfunctions when trying to put the vehicle in park. The vehicle once the lever is in park on the dashboard it will say !Place vehicle in park. When it is in park you can't open the doors or turn off the vehicle. You can try to jiggle the shift lever but it doesn't move out of park. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - Unable to get out of the vehicle, the system locks the doors. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - It has occurred at the beginning of the year. No it hasn't been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - Once you put the shift lever in park and try to turn off the car the warning lamp comes on and says Place in park. But the shift lever is in park. You are unable to move the shift lever. I don't know the exact date it first started happening but I believe it was at the beginning of the year.

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the “Engine Power Reduced" message was displayed, and the vehicle was unable to accelerate above 30 MPH. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the turbo charger. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the turbo charger. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer a third time, and again was diagnosed with turbo charger failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 23,000.

When putting vehicle in park and turning the car off, getting message to place vehicle in park and car "dinging." This started about 2 weeks ago and was intermittent, now it's every time I put the car in park and takes me about 5 minutes of turning the car on and off, placing in park before it finally registers the vehicle is in park.
