Ball Joint broke on front passenger side 2 times at 62 mph. 1st incident occurred [XXX] at 71,699 miles. 2nd incident occurred [XXX] at 135,543 miles. Second incident caused $6,500 body damage & $2500 in towing fees. I told GM the truck was unsafe to drive, which they failed to help. Any other vehicle in my path would have caused a major accident involving injury or death. The Ally warranty covers 150K miles. Dealer only covered mechanical repairs, not the body damage or any towing. All work has been serviced & inspected by the dealer: Upstate Chevrolet in Attica, NY 14011. No warnings or lights appeared. Coming home from work one morning, the truck all the sudden displayed lights across the dash saying no oil pressure shut off engine now. So I Immediately pulled over and got out to find oil was coming out of everywhere, my front bumper, the hood, underneath. I had it towed to local Chevrolet dealership and they contacted me today to tell me the oil line from the engine had came loose because of a clamp. So I looked up some problems because it was over $1000 to fix it and found there was a customer satisfaction issued through GM because of the same problems within my year and model truck. Are they in contacted GM to see if they would fix the problem and they told me because my model number was included in their customer satisfaction that they couldn’t fix it even though it was the same year and the same type of truck. So I asked them how I got my model number included and they told me I had to go through the national Highway safety.

- #11633760January 2, 2025FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
on [XXX] my 2015 Chevy 2500 crew cab LTZ Duramax with 50,959 miles stopped running going down a large hill, Barely made it off the road coasting into a Fire department parking lot. 2nd failure occurred while driving on a main route in WV. At 66,600 miles [XXX], was almost rear ended because truck again just stopped running going 50 mph around a turn. Diesel fuel was pouring onto the hot engine second occurrence. I don't know how the truck didn't catch on fire. Thank [XXX] I wasn't towing my 14,500 lb fifth wheel either time. Both incidents were because of a CP4 injection Pump Failure completely taking out and polluting the entire fuel system. Per GM service department in Wintersville, Oh. I no longer feel safe driving the truck and wouldn't even consider towing with it again. Too dangerous for me and my family !! I am fearful this could end up causing serious injury or death !! The torque converter with the 6L80 transmission went and destroyed the transmission in my 2015 Silverado. Which is going to cost me thousands of dollars to fix. With the 10's of thousands of people affected, Chevy should of done a recall on the torque converter and/or transmission. There were no signs/symptoms, the truck started shaking like I was driving over rumble strips, no check engine light. I was able to get it to a mechanic immediately and it sits there unusable at this time.

steering wheel has excessive play. i have had it looked at by two different dealerships and they are trying to convince me that this is normal. there is about 1 inch of dead band in the straight-ahead position. the dead band movement of the steering wheel shaft does not move the pitman arm at all. the last time i took it to the dealership i asked if they could check the over center preload on the steering gear. they said they checked it and it could not be tightened any further without causing secondary problems. I do not believe they performed the actual adjustment as it would have required the steering gear to be removed and adjusted on the bench. the free play results in delayed corrections in correcting for lane drift. i have driven similar trucks and there is very little if any free play. this issue has been present since new.
