THE LOCK ACTUATORS ON THE TRUCK HAVE FAILED MULTIPLE TIMES ON EACH DOOR. THE REAR LOCKS HAVE FAILED AGAIN. I HAVE REPLACED THEM NUMEROUS TIMES. I DO SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ON FORUMS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. I ALWAYS HAVE TO CHECK TO MAKE SURE MY DOORS LOCK WHEN I EXIT MY VEHICLE. I HAVE PUT TODAYS DATE AS THE INCIDENT DUE TO MULTIPLE TIMES THE LOCKS HAVE FAILED

On 4-25-2025 while driving the car shutoff twice losing power on both occasions. The first time I was able to start the truck; however, the second time it happened I lost all power and drifted to a stop. Vehicle info said to put the car in neutral and press the start button. Car failed to start while drifting and when I was able to get the truck to a complete stop, the truck could never start thus requiring it to be towed to the dealership. Truck has a little over 22000 miles. Check engine light came on after the second incident.

The transmission failed prematurely (just over 95,000 miles). Before i had it rebuilt, It was lurching forward as I was coming to a stop. It also had trouble switching gears (very rough) and a loss of power. I understand this transmission is part of a class action lawsuit. I wanted to make sure my experience was documented with the other cases. General Motors needs to correct this problem and reimburse owners for work already completed. I will dig up my transmission repair documentation and include it with this record. Thank you, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

After 2 weeks of owning the truck which we are paying on it had to be towed 3 times stalling out and leaving leaving my family,my children with us at least once, and stranded in high traffic roads. We took it back to the dealership and they replaced the fuel pump and the fuel light came came on the very same day we picked it up. Now over a week after getting it back it has stranded us again, this time with our 3 children with us. This is on a Friday evening during rush hour. We manage to pull to a side road and off to the side a bit,but not fully. People are driving by very fast now as we wait for a tow.

While merging onto the fast lane of the highway i experienced a "press push start to restart" alarm and total loss of power as I went to accelerate and merge with traffic. It was almost like the truck was in neutral but pedal would not even increase the rmp. There was no shoulder and I was forced to stop and restart my vehicle between the onramp and the fast lane. Im fortunate to not have ended up in a bad rear end accident. It did the same a half mile later where atleast I had a shoulder to pull off onto this time. Check engine light threw up a camshaft position sensor fault

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that the tailgate intermittently unintendedly unlocked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was previously included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V060000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages) and was repaired under the recall. The dealer could not confirm where and when the vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not repaired a second time. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 109,000.

I have had an intermittent, aggressive engine knock and rough idle since i bought the truck. I'm assuming it has to do with the collapsing lifter issue from the fuel management system. when I bring it to the dealership (paradise chevrolet ventura) , they tell me that they cannot replicate the issue and that if there is no check engine light on the dash, there is nothing they can do. I am concerned for my families safety and my truck becoming an issue after my warranty runs out. my chief complaint has been documented by the dealership multiple times and I have video of me replicating the issue.

While driving on March 23, 2025, we heard a loud bang, we stopped at a gas station shortly thereafter and realized the tailgate had fallen open while driving and struck the trailer hitch. The latch/camera compartment were broken and hanging from where it struck the crank for trailer hitch and the tailgate was damaged (dented). It was taken to the dealership where they advised there is a recall on some models due to this same issue. They checked and advised our truck is not part of recall. We filed a PAC claim with Chevrolet which they are declining to pay. The latch/camera is currently taped into place. It has fallen open while driving one additional time since the first event. We frequently carry things in the bed of truck and our safety and that of anyone behind us could be in jeopardy.

On the freeway transmission downshifted to first, loud bang and skidding to limp mode vehicles behind us skidded off highway and others changed lane causing chaos yelling screaming angry drivers, not a great situation, I had the recall done, it was just a software update that detects a problem and puts it into dangerous limp mode at high speed.

An independent service center confirmed that the water pump failed and fell apart. This water pump is a 4-groove pulley (part number 12685259) specific to my vehicle. Most other Silverados have a 6-groove pulley system. This 4-groove pulley water pump is unavailable from the dealer or any of the part stores, as they are on back order with no resolution or availability date. GM has notified some parts stores that this part has been discontinued and is no longer available. This truck is less than 10 years old. There are no other parts, either aftermarket or otherwise, to replace my water pump. The water pump is a vital engine component needed to prevent significant engine damage, and without it, the truck can not run independently without overheating. It is essentially the heart of the automotive cooling system, because the truck water pump function is to continuously circulate the engine coolant from the radiator to the engine and back to the radiator. I have had my truck in an independent service center since January 2025, waiting for this part, which is unavailable. I do have the original part at the shop available for inspection. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem before the failure; it just started making a clanking sound, and I immediately took it to a shop, and have been out of a vehicle for 5 months.

Suspension system potentially life threatening. On [XXX] I purchased a 2005 Chevy Silverado truck from used car dealer in Tallassee, AL/$6000. Several days after driving home at Interstate speeds, I discovered extreme rust on the underside of the truck. The spare tire rim was unusable from rust and the tire hoist was rusted beyond use--I had to cut the tire hoist cable tip with a grinder and let the tire fall to the driveway. At that point, I found an extremely unsafe and dangerous defect to the truck. The top of the right rear shock absorber was not attached to the truck frame. The connector bracket had rusted completely away from the truck frame. I texted pictures and called the dealer and was told the sale was “as is”--not his problem. I asked if he inspected, or even looked at the bottom of the truck—his text reply was “I personally did not do anything other than a walk around and test drive” He later said by text he had been a used car dealer for 32 years and had an excellent reputation. Subsequent research found NHTSA-DOT’s 49 CFR Section 570.8 -Suspension Systems-- where it states “Shock absorber mountings, shackles, and U-bolts shall be securely attached.” I believe the licensed used car dealer failed to properly inspect the used truck and clearly did not identify and report to me, the buyer, hidden potential life threatening deficiencies of the suspension system and other defects that would dramatically reduce the value of the vehicle. At that point the dealer refused to answer his phone or texts. My local mechanic advised me not to use the truck and only drive it (below 45 mph) in light traffic for short drives to keep the truck running and the battery charged. I have owned vehicles for over [XXX] and have never had any problems with any of the vehicles. I am [XXX]. I reported this to the Alabama Dept of Revenue ("ALDOR" - [XXX]) 8 Apr 25 and received a confirmation of receipt. No response yet-23 Apr 25. Please help. CEL with code P1098 - which is a coolant control valve issue. Engine is not properly distributing coolant potentially causing an overheating condition. Dealer informed me that it is dangerous to drive and it is recommended that it is left at the dealer until it is repaired. If driven and other issues occur do to this failure the warranty will not cover damages. The failed part - coolant control valve is on national backorder and there is no eta on when the part will be available, no vehicle has been provided and the replacement part appears to be no different than the original except for a different model number.

Vehicle: 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trail Boss, 6.2L V8 L87 engine Date of Incident: Friday, April 19, 2025 Mileage at Time of Failure: ~30,000 miles Location: Route 1 (high-traffic highway) While driving at highway speed, the vehicle suddenly shut down without warning. The RPMs dropped to zero, and I had to quickly merge across lanes with no engine power, creating a serious safety risk to myself and other drivers. There were no warning lights, sounds, or prior symptoms before the failure. I had the truck towed at my own expense to a trusted mechanic, who confirmed that the engine had seized. It has since been transferred to a certified GM dealership for teardown and repair. This failure appears consistent with ongoing reports and an active NHTSA investigation into the 6.2L V8 L87 engine, specifically related to oil pump failure and oversized lifter bores, which can cause catastrophic engine failure without warning. I am concerned about the future reliability of this vehicle, especially since powertrain warranty coverage is limited. Had I known about these known engine issues, I would not have purchased this vehicle. I will be notifying my bank, which holds the lien, as this situation also impacts the value and security of their asset. I intend to request part numbers and full documentation from the dealership to ensure the engine is not replaced with the same potentially defective components.

I had a lifter failure on 8/12/2024 with only 66,994 miles on the truck. Not only did I have lifter failure it also damaged the camshaft. It is documentation of this issue. I was at a stop light when the truck started what felt like bouncing and when I accelerated it hesitated then all my lights on the dashboard came on. Then I could hear a ticking sound and when I would come to a stop the engine felt like it went from forth gear to first gear and would slam into a stop. Then the SES light and Service traction light came on Yes, the problem was confirmed by a Chevrolet dealership and stated they have been having issues with this happening in 2020-2022 Silverado's and have seen it in the 2019 models as well. There was another Silverado same year also at the dealership for the exact same problem. Yes, the component was inspected at the service department at the dealership. No there was no warning of any kind
