I was traveling when on my dash came up "software update available" so I looked at how to and said truck will need to be off for 15 minutes during software installation so I decided to wait until I got home from trip. So on the moring of October 2, 2025 did the software update in my driveway. Then in the afternoon needed to go somewhere and I saw the service engine warning symbol on dash. Went to where I needed to go, 4 miles from home. Then when I was finished headed home and on way home warning on dash came up, "Service Transmission Now Unable to Shift Soon". So I got home and made some phone calls and ended up taking truck into Polar Chevrolet, White Bear Lake, MN. Thursday before they closed. Friday October 3 got a call from Polar Chev and issue is "Gearshit control module", part number 86515985. But was told part was out of stock and could take 1 week or even upto 1 month for them to get part. Looking on internet did see that this warning has come on from other people right after they did the software update. Needless to say my estimate for repair is going to be somewhere form $900 - $1000. So now have to wait and see when they get part and if it is actually issue.

- #11691732October 6, 2025TIRES, TIRES:TREAD/BELT
These tires are good year wrangler trail runner at size lt275/65 r20. My total mileage on these tires was 40970These were the original tires that were installed when the truck was purchased new. My tires are rotated every 5000 miles. Tire pressure is maintained at the exact pressure. I was driving on an interstate at 70 mph. A vibration started. I checked the tire pressure monitors and all showed normal pressures - I stopped and observed the tires were no longer round but had bulges to one side of the tread surface Both are likely to blowout and have to be replaced Two did this same thing in last 2 weeks

- #11691737October 6, 2025TIRES, TIRES:BEAD, TIRES:TREAD/BELT
Three of four original Goodyear Wrangler TrailRunner AT tires (DOT 0222) on my 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 have experienced catastrophic tread separations under normal use with 28,095 miles. The first two failed under warranty and were replaced at my expense; the third failed at highway speed, causing vehicle damage and a $1,000 insurance deductible plus additional cost to replace the tire. The dealership advised GM sent the failed tires for analysis, but GM denies receiving or reviewing them. Multiple NHTSA complaints describe identical failures on this same tire model (e.g., #11522434, #11482843, #11457647). This pattern indicates a potential widespread safety defect.

On 8/25/2025 I purchased a used 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD from a auto dealer and they had put new tires on the truck that aren't rated for a 2500 HD, I contacted them and they offered me $400 to replace them with the correct tires that cost me $1319.78 they refuse to help me anymore which is putting my life and others at stake if a tire is to blow out hauling heavy loads that the tires aren't rated for. That 3/4 ton truck is suppose to have tires with a (E) rating, also the TPMS system does't work because all the tires are under inflated for that truck. They have been contacted about this issue; FMVSS No. 120: FMVSS No. 139: FMVSS No. 138 cover this issue! The dealership violated the NHTSA standards and consumer protection laws among other laws.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the engine started shuddering and the vehicle decelerated unintendedly. Additionally, the check engine and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle with engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The engine was replaced, but the failure reoccurred. - #11691264October 3, 2025ENGINE, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM)
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while her husband was driving approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle started shaking and lost motive power. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The driver was able to drive the vehicle back to the residence at a reduced speed. The vehicle was then driven to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the engine control module and sensors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was retrieved; however, while driving off the lot, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle started shaking violently. The vehicle was with the dealer. The dealer then diagnosed the vehicle and determined that two of the lifters in the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

Under heavy acceleration the vehicle swerves from lane to lane and the operator is unable to counter the steering. The behavior continues until the acceleration is halted. The vehicle was grounded due to it being deemed unsafe by the originating dealership technician and repairs were attempted but were unsuccessful. The dealership had another vehicle like mine in inventory so they tested that one and found the same erratic behavior but rather than deeming it to be a problem they declared the steering issue it to be normal for that model. This is section 4 of the attached dealership service report.

There is a safety recall on my truck and dealer wont take it in to address the issue. I have been trying for months and they say that they are waiting for guidance from GM. We don't feel safe driving the truck. Asked for GM to buy it back and they denied, told me to find another GM service center. I tried another and they said the same thing. I'm running in circles and shouldn't be forced to drive an unsafe truck that is ~1 year old.

Transmission I believe is the problem, when driving at speeds any where between 10 to 60 a very harsh jerk happens when down shifting, as I let go of the gas. It is harsh enough that it is unsafe. I took it to the dealer Autonation ChevyGilbert and dealer acknowledged condition but refused to apply GM TSB 24-NA-167 and Service Update N222383250, claiming VIN not applicable despite matching transmission and symptoms. Dealer says I should not drive the truck in Auto AWD.

- #11691096October 2, 2025ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN
The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country has experienced multiple powertrain and transmission failures beginning shortly after purchase. The issues include violent shifting, hesitation, and stalling, particularly while accelerating or decelerating. These malfunctions create serious safety risks—especially when merging, turning left across traffic, or entering intersections. The truck has been returned to authorized GM dealerships multiple times for diagnostics and repair. GM service departments confirmed transmission faults but have not successfully resolved the issue despite repeated attempts. The same problems reoccur shortly after each repair. At times, the vehicle has entered “limp mode” unexpectedly while driving, causing a loss of power. On at least one occasion, this occurred while driving on a busy highway, forcing evasive action to avoid a collision. Warning lights such as the “check engine” light and service alerts frequently appear before or during these incidents. To date, the vehicle has been inspected by GM-certified technicians at authorized dealerships. A case has been opened with GM customer care and BBB AUTO LINE arbitration has been initiated. The truck remains unreliable and unsafe to operate, especially with children on board. The risk of sudden power loss or drivetrain malfunction poses a clear hazard to occupants and other drivers.

I was driving on the interstate at around 65mph. Towing my fifth wheel. Transmission started shifting hard with a loud bang that sounded like we hit a huge pothole. A message popped up in the screen indicating “Reduced acceleration, drive with caution”. The transmission seems to be stuck in gear as we exited the highway. Check engine light was on. Came to a stop at a stop sign and barely had enough power to pull into a parking lot. We had the truck towed to a nearby dealership. Fault codes P0700 and P0747 were present. Service advisor said valve body would have to be rebuilt. It’s been 2 weeks and the valve body cover plate is still “backordered” with no estimated in stock date.
