The stabilitrak system GM installed on my vehicle repeatedly indicates a "service" notification. Once this occurs, my vehicle loses power and the ability to shift into any driving mode. This issue began around 60,000, I currently have 77,500+ on my vehicle. GM issued a technical service bulletin (PIC5992A) for my vehicle, however, denies it's the issue and will only attempt a repair from a computer code, which they continue to fail to replicate. The occurrence of this issue is especially worrisome on any interstate highway. ODI 11406439

- #11437500October 20, 2021SUSPENSION, STEERING
Q-What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? A-Suspension and steering effective. Any time I drive and make turns it makes like a clunking noise. You can actually feel it in the floor board. It's worse when you are driving down a not so smooth road. You can look at it as soon as possible. Q-How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? A-Control arm might SNAP causing you to lose control of my vehicle and crash into other drivers. Q-Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? A-Firestone has inspected my car. Q-Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? A-No my vehicle has not. Q-Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? A-No warning signs of any kind. This started within the last month or two.

- #11436736October 14, 2021STEERING
Around the first of October I was headed home with my family. As we were merging over to exit lanes to get on the ramp to exit the freeway the power steering failure light came on and simultaneously all my power steering was gone. I literally lost control control of my car. I was in the midst of turning when the car swerved and at 70 MPH it was very dangerous situation. My wife and I had just switched driving places several miles back. She panicked and said she couldn't imagine what she would have done if that had happened to her. She also swore to never drive that car again. I don't know how many times this has happened to others but I can say with all honesty this is a very serious problem. There wasn't an accident but I did cause everyone near me on the road to swerve and brake suddenly to avoid colliding with my vehicle. As of today the car hasn't been repaired and I haven't relayed this to the dealership. That being said even if they were for some miraculous divine reason to repair it for free the danger of this occurring again is still there. This feature is dangerous and I pray something is done about it.

- #11436532October 13, 2021VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CRUISE CONTROL
Traveling at 58 mph in Cruise Control for 10 minutes I increased speed with 4-6 rapid pushes of the Accelerate button in less than 1.5 seconds, Each push is 1 mph. I have never pushed it that rapidly. The engine acted as if I floored the accelerator & the transmission went from 4th to 3rd gear, speed went to 70+ and rapidly increasing. I stepped on the break pedal several times to disable CC but no help, I switched the CC button to the off position several times, no help. Now at 85+ and accelerating hard in wide open throttle (WOT). I shift to Neutral and turned the ignition to the ACC position to retain steering ability as the engine was RPM'ing out to destruction. I coasted off the highway and set ignition to off. After a few minutes I turned engine on and it rev'd out of control, still WOT. Ignition off did not reset the problem. I opened the hood to disconnected the battery & I observe that neither the CC or accelerator cables are not holding the throttle body (TB) in "WOT", it was closed in an idle position. It is not mechanical. I disconnected the battery for several minutes and then the system operated normally. I have used CC a million times but never have pushed that accel button that fast. I served 7 years as a Reactor Operation onboard US navy Fast attack Submarines, have torn apart and assemble mechanical and electrical reactor systems. I have been a Hardware Engineer for 40+ yrs and have 10 US patents in fault tolerant server design. I've been a car guy since 5 yrs old. This is a problem with the cars computer or its code. The rapid pushing of the CC accel button is key here as well as memory retaining this CC state after Key OFF. Its a good thing I experienced with many hard casualty life and death situations while serving, because my car was accelerating out of control, my experience and training in the US Military taught me to keep cool and think. You really should investigate this. I can tell you more specifics but I'm character limited.

The car was purchased 06/23/2021. Approx 2 weeks or less later the car had to be taken to the shop where it was purchased at due to the engine going in the car. There have been 3 loaner cars given while car is being fixed however after now 4 months the car is still just sitting at the shop where it was purchased at without the engine being replaced or repaired. There is a loan on this vehicle and it is very unfair that the loan has to continue to be paid for when the car is not in possession of the owner. I do not want the car back at this point because it is now out of warranty and has been sitting for a long time without being fixed. I have called many times and have been getting the run around. Now the owner of the shop or workers will not answer my phone calls. My name is [XXX] my contact information is [XXX]. I am helping my son out because he is and have been getting the runaround since he purchased this vehicle from Ecars. The air conditioner tube was off inside the vehicle and caused massive leaking in the carpets. Causing mold to grow excessively under the floor mats, in the carpets, under the seats, etc. Which as a result led to electrical issues. It’s being looked into by a senior member at GM for months now, nothing is being done. Radley Chevy in Fredricksburg Virginia hasn’t done anything for us either. My family is now having respiratory issues due to the mold issue.

I HAD THIS REPAIRED ONCE BEFORE AND NOW IT IS DOING IT AGAIN. THE STABILITY AND TRACTION LIGHT ARE ON AND ACCESS BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHTS AND TPMS LIGHTS ARE ON. IT MAKES A GRINDING CRUNCHING DRAGGING NOISE WHEN TURN THE WHEEL. SOMETIMES SO BAD ON THE DRAG LIKE ITS RUBBING AGAINST SOMETHING IT ALMOST STOPS THE VEHICLE. AS FAR AS SAFETY RISKS YES THE DRAGGING CRUNCHING SOUND STOPS THE VEHICLE AND IF TURNING IT SORT OF STALLS YOU, NO TRACTION OR STABILITY.THE WARNING LIGHTS REAPPEARED ABOUT A MONTH AGO. PEP BOYS COULDN'T GET THE TPMS SYSTEM TO WORK AFTER REPLACING TIRES BACK IN 2020 IN FEB.

Found leaking bright green substance on driveway. AC disabled/blowing air with no cooling affect. After trying to reach Donovan at an 800 number referenced in other complaints that number is now associated with 3M disability program. This is very much a health issue and should be a national recall. The evaporator core must be replaced at no cost to the vehicle owner as this is a known defective part. Freon is dangerous to breathe.

Side detection system has failed. This detection system is vital to the safety of the vehicle. This is because there are blind spots inherent in the cars design that the side detection system corrects. My Impala LTZ is 6 1/2 years old with just under 30,000 miles.
