SummaryCustomer Satisfaction Program. Due to the industry-wide semiconductor shortage, the front heated/ventilated seats, front heated seats, or rear heated seats are not functional on certain 2022 model year vehicles listed above, built beginning November 15, 2021. The affected vehicle owners should have been made aware of the condition at sale, and notified that once parts are available, they would be eligible for a no additional cost retrofit to enable the feature. Dealers are to replace the front and rear seat heater control modules, reprogram the body control module and on some vehicles, reprogram the HVAC control module.

The part number for the VIN may not be visible due to the vehicle configuration for rear heated seats. A correction will be implemented in the EPC on August 10, 2022. SummaryThis Preliminary information communicates that a vehicle may come into the dealer with various concerns which may include a service engine light or various warning messages on the DIC. The technician is instructed to inspect a wiring harness for chaffing on a bracket which is located beneath the battery tray, at a transmission stud and at the transmission oil cooler line bracket. If damage to the harness is found the technician is instructed to repair the damaged wiring and secure the harness away from the bracket so that future damage to the harness will be eliminated.
