The contact owns a 2019 Acura ILX. The contact stated that while driving 50 MPH downhill, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly and was pulling from side to side. The contact firmly held the steering wheel to keep the vehicle in the intended lane. Additionally, the contact depressed the brake pedal simultaneously, but the vehicle hesitated to respond, causing the braking distance to be extended. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The messages "Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem", "High Beams Problem", "Lane Departure Failure", and "Adaptive Cruise Control Failure" were displayed. The contact was able to drive to the residence. The vehicle was taken to an Acura dealer, where it was diagnosed that the sensing system cameras needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

I am experiencing an issue with my brakes. When I am at a red light and I brake, I find my brakes start to descend. So it's brake, then the brake moves a bit down towards the floor. Then it moves down a bit more. I am still able to brake but I find that the brake pedal moves down a few times while I am sitting at a red light. I am greatly concerned.

Hello, I recently bought this used car. Its a 2017 Acura ILX with fairly low miles ( 85k ). After the 2nd night of having it, the alarm started going off in the middle of the night and all the lights were flickering in the dashboard. The car wouldn't start so I had to jump it in the morning. It did jump and I drove it to the local store for a battery test. The battery was fine. I thought the issue was resolved until it happened again and again. I began to notice a pattern that it was happening when the car wasn't driven for a few days at a time. This means something in the car was constantly drawing power, even when off. After doing some investigation, it seems there is a parasitic draw happening. The following YouTube video shows similar issues on Honda / Acura models: [XXX] , Honda issued a Service Bulletin only for the 2017-2019 Ridegline: [XXX] , but this same Keyless Entry / TPMS module was used in Acura as well. I asked Honda to take a look at this Manufacturing defect, causing corrosion on the module because it wasnt properly coated at the factory. They said I would need to contact the NHTSA. I checked my module and sure enough, it has the same defect that the Acrua MDX has in the video above. One of the chips was not properly coated, allowing corrosion to build up and cause intermittent grounding. Honda knows about this and should have issued a recall for this module . See pictures attached with proof that the coating was not properly applied to one of the chips. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I am experiencing what I believe to be unauthorized remote access/control of my 2022 Acura ILX. I suspect the extra set of keys provided by the dealership was given to unauthorized parties without my consent. The vehicle has exhibited sudden and unexplained changes in acceleration, braking, steering, and electronic functions while I am driving, as though being controlled externally. This creates a severe safety risk to me, passengers, and others on the road. I have also experienced tampering with electronic systems, tracking, and possible interference with the onboard computer. This has been ongoing for an extended period and may involve multiple parties, including a former employer and individuals tied to them. The risk of losing control of the vehicle is constant, and I believe this is a safety defect that requires immediate investigation.

Brakes sometimes do not work. Brake pedal is pressed down to the floor with no resistance sometimes. The brakes need to be pumped multiple times in order to stop. This is a huge safety concern and more more serious than any other recall that we’ve had on our vehicles.

My 2013 acura ix hybrid does have issues as in service bulletin 20-021. Contacted dealer and got informed that was repaired recall and send me invoice for repairs in the amount of 2600 usd. Contacted manufacturer and been informed that no recall for my car vin is bot associated to recall above (20-021). Did check report from carfax and only repair on my car was some on battery in 2019 (attaching too). My car has exact same codes and diagnose from Nalley Acura service points to IMA inverter (p1440 & p1505) and needs to be replaced. As can be seen from my statements, entire diagnose points to exact same symptoms and car is also under same model and year but manufacturer didn’t include vin into recall to fix the issue. Please help me with resolving this issue and to get my car repaired under service bulletin as supposed to be from beginning. Reporting intermittent brake failure, where brake sank to the floor on the first press without any effect of slowing the vehicle. Fortunately, in each instance, on the second press the brakes functioned normally and slowed the vehicle, so no accident or injury occurred. The first incident was in May 2022 after driving over a speed bump -- at the time I assumed user error and did not report the incident. The brakes failed a second time in March 2025 when descending a hill at 35 mph, and a third time in April 2025 after U-turning on a hill at low speeds. At that time, I opted to tow the car to the dealer for a repair. The dealer found no brake issues on inspection/testing, but after finding another case report recommended replacing the master cylinder. Of note, this is similar to NHTSA recall 23V-458 for other Acura/Honda models from 2019/2020 where there were issues with the master cylinder, but the Acura ILX was not included. There was also a NHTSA Acura Service Bulletin 22-014 from 2022 advising of a search for Acura 2019 ILX vehicles with an intermittent brake issue. I have also attached my correspondence with Acura.

I live in a colder climate, we’re were experiencing temperatures in the 20’s with ice storms. While driving the rear window completely shattered, the rear defroster was on during the time of the incident. I contacted the manufacturer for a remedy, they informed me there is no remedy for my particular vehicle. They suggested I pay out of pocket at a certified Acura dealership to get a dignostic and to get the window fixed. I decided to have the window replaced by Safelite. There is a very big and well known problem with the 2020 Acura RDX for this same scenario happening. There was warning light or indication something was going on with the window. Acura needs to address the problem with the rear defroster as this poses a huge public safety risk when this happens while the vehicle is being driven.
