I have received a recall notice on my vehicle (Toyota Tundra) about a serious engine issue 2 months ago. The NHTSA recall number is 24V-381. The Toyota recall number is 24TA07. Now two months have passed, they still didn't have a remedy available. In the letter, it states "Engine may stall during driving. A loss of motive power while driving at higher speeds can increase the risk of crash." It is not reasonable for such a serious problem but they are still not able to provide a fix for it for this long. I am filing a complaint in hope to get this resolved. I am requesting Toyota to provide fix for this issue within two weeks. If they are not able to, they need to buy back my vehicle.

- #11617897October 3, 2024VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The issue is with the auto-braking or pre collision system. Have had multiple instances where system has engaged at low speed which also engaged the auto engine stop feature when it was not necessary. Have noticed system engages on roads with curves where it thinks the vehicle in the other lane is in front of me when its not. The most unsafe thing that happened was when a vehicle quickly changed lanes in front of me and slowed slightly. I saw the other vehicle make the unsafe lane change and was covering the brake and when i pressed the brake it went out from under my foot braking hard on its own when it was not necessary. Vehicle slowed from 65 to about 35 quickly almost causing vehicle behind me to rear end me with no way to stop the system. Since i have owned this vehicle auto brake system has engaged about 5 times and all were not necessary or unsafe. I have lowered sensitivity setting and still have the issue, and am unable to disable system.

This truck has a recurring issue of when you press the accelerator pedal there is no throttle response. After a second or two it responds to the throttle. It’s unsafe as the truck does not respond so it doesn’t move. This throttle delay could cause an accident.

- #11616646September 26, 2024FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Repeated resetting of fuel gauge to full without filling the gas tank. Have reported this problem and dealer tried to remedy but apparently not fixed. Truck filled on 9/18/24 and everything normal. Fuel gauge and miles to empty reset on 9/24/24 after having driven 59.5 miles. MPG stayed the same. Fuel gauge and miles to empty reset while truck was running after driving 25 miles since previous reset on 9/26/24. Watched the miles to empty roll on screen. Since previous dealer service can no longer use steering wheel button to reset the MPG. Can have a false sense of available fuel and cause potential accident if truck runs out of fuel on highway or get stranded somewhere.

Catastrophic engine failure. I was driving home when the engine began knocking. Drove the last couple miles home and parked in my driveway. Engine running rough, and oil was dripping onto the ground under the engine. Toyota has evaluated and said it needs a new engine. Note - Toyota has a recall but is currently claiming my vehicle is not covered as it's just outside/newer than the covered trucks. As of today's date, 9/19/24, Toyota has had my vehicle since 7/17/24 and it's STILL not repaired.

There are many incidents, issues, and critical safety problems with my vehicle. I have had multiple repair attempts, with multiple Toyota Car Dealerships, and have continued to have the same amount of problems, and issues with this vehicle. Multiple leaks of fuel, smells of gas and burning, odometer reads brakes failing, and danger lights, Transmission shifting issues, Engine knocking while driving and at a complete stop, Brake issues, By the grace of God my family and I have not been in an accident yet. I have taken my car in for repairs multiple times and to this day my vehicle is still being repaired at the dealership as we speak. My vehicle has cumulatively been at the dealership for almost 3 months. My family and I are under an assortment of insurmountable mental, and physical stress with the level of unsafe, unfit, and unreliable attempts to not only trust this vehicle to operate safely, but trust the service technicians to safely, and correctly diagnose the many unsafe issues with this vehicle. I have made several attempts in filing cases, complaints, and attempts of contact, to resolve these multiple issues with the manufacturer, and have had no such luck. Please, for the safety and daily life continuity of my family. Please help me resolve these issues with the manufacturer. My family, and I do not feel safe and do not feel like our issues are being acknowledged or resolved. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done so that my family can safely, and cordially operate a functioning vehicle. Thanks and God Bless. There is a hesitation / loss of power when starting from a stop . I have had it to the dealership a few times and the did a bulletin update for the transmission at least two times. The problem continues and is a safety hazard. There is a recall to replace the engine because of possible debris. When this is done I hope this issue will be resolved but I am not to hopeful.
