My check ingine light came on. I had noticed the slippery when wet light came on and the vcs light also came on. Since the Catalytic Converter seemed to be the problem. The gentleman at AutoZone diagnosed the car and told me about Catalytic clean. I used that and the lights went off. I believe I was sold a crappy car. The dealership did nothing to replace or look at it. I had not even put 2000 miles on the car since purchased.

Waiting at a stop light, The light turns green and I go to pull through the intersection with the intention of going under the overpass to get on the freeway. When the car gets to about 10-15 mph The car makes a pop noise & stalled. It felt like suddenly it was dragging a lot of weight and slowly I guided it to the right side of the road under the overpass for the freeway. I tried to start the vehicle and I didn’t do anything I couldn’t move the shifter and that’s when I knew the transmission had to of been the issue. So I called roadside assistance through my insurance they said it would be 90 minutes I had to wait underneath the freeway with the vehicle. A AAA tow truck driver that was about to board the freeway stopped even though he didn’t have the call And tried to see if I had AAA so he could tell me, I did not So he got in to see what was wrong with the vehicle immediately you could tell the shifter he then pulled out what he called the belief shift override and he put a screwdriver To release the shifter I get it into neutral so when the tow truck driver showed he could tow it. I had called Toyota to make sure that I could have the car towed there he said that’s fine. When I arrived to the Toyota dealership the service department was closed because it was Sunday which I understood but I had to be to work at nine and it was already close to two. I have two sons that were both at their daycare/babysitter which I would’ve need to return to pick up at 6 PM 7 PM the latest. All the representatives had no help for me even with it being my third car from the dealership. The Toyota Corolla LE is a 2019 with only 29,149 miles on it. I’m a light driver the vehicle goes to work & the grocery store. I had a service appointment Scheduled for August 6 at 7 AM For a basic service check fluids rotate tires, no oil change, received email 8:20am Claiming I canceled appointment. Night before incident check engine light came on

I have called Bondy's Toyota of Enterprise, Enterprise, Alabama on and about February 17, 2021, also, on or about September 2, 2021, called Bondy's Toyota of Enterprise spoke to the service department both times VIN gave and both times denied a recall. Also, my brother James Wright took the vehicle to Bondy's and was told no recall for the airbags or fuel pump by the service department. On or about March 6, 2021, approximately 6:30 AM hit a deer on Coffee County Road 377, Elba, Alabama. had damage to the front windshield, right passenger side. A hole was found in the trunk where the trunk is separating from the body. Progressive insurance and Toyota are both refusing to fix this problem They have told me not to put anything in the trunk. Also Progressive is refusing to pay for the right side of the car. This has been going on with Progressive since March. the car had been taken to Wiregrass Collision Center 3 times and each time the center said Progressive never came and looked at the vehicle. Progressive was trying to force me use a auto repair shop in Troy, Alabama.

AIR BAGS
The contact owned a 2007 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while sitting in their vehicle parked, the passenger air bag exploded independently. The contact confimed that there was no impact for the air bag to explode and there were no warning lights at the time. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and repaired the passenger air bag. However, a month later the contact was at a stoplight when the vehicle behind rear-ended the vehicle and caused the contact to rear the vehicle in front of them. The air bags did not deploy. The contact's head hit the steering wheel, which caused injuries to their head, neck, and back. Medical treatment was at the scene and took the contact to the hospital by ambulance. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed by an independent mechanic and then towed to a local dealer who inspected the vehicle and deemed the vehicle a total loss. The contact's concern was that after doing some research they found out their vehicle had an open recall for the frontal air bags NHTSA Campaign Number: 19v741000 (Air Bags) that they believe their local dealer was aware of the recall but never informed which caused the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 150,000.

The contact owns a 2018 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while coming out of a complete stop, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was able to be restarted and functionality was regained. The contact stated that the check engine warning lights were illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with, NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V012000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience failure. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and the contact was awaiting a response. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000. Consumer stated engine light and "Traction Control Turned Off" warning while vehicle was still moving, then "Charging System Malfunction" and "Oil Pressure Low/Stop in a Safe Place" warning lights appeared at the same time the vehicle stalled.

We rented a 2020 Toyota Corolla from Hertz at the McCarran Airport Las Vegas NV and almost past out while driving due to Carbon Monoxide poisonings. My wife was sick 3 out of the 4 days while this auto was being driven in our possession. At first our sickness was thought to be motion sickness or maybe from something we ate. It wasn't until we drove this car out of town when we both my wife and I started getting very sick weak dizzy and vomiting. We tried to drive out to the Hover Dam but stop about 10 miles short. After a brief rest we decided to had back to Las Vegas. Just outside of Las Vegas I could hardly breath and had all the same symptoms previously stated. Luckily I was able to get out of traffic and pulled off the high stopping at the first place I was able to pull into. I believe that If I didn't do so I would have passed out and may have caused an accident. Roadside assistance stated this is a common thing in Toyota's. My concern is how many of these cars are rentals and how many people may have been in accidents and the driver blamed? While driving approx. 35-40 mph driver impacted front left side with a stop sign post . Causing very little body damage but completely ripped the control arm out of the sub frame which caused an unreasonable amount of other significant damages . The axle broke off at the transmission . These 3 parts alone costing almost 2500$ plus labor to repair. It ripped part of my bumper cover which had to be replaced and dented the fender which is being repaired . Had the cars subframe held up in what should have been a minor incident none of the other parts would have been affected the way the were. I had the car inspected and aligned at the Toyota dealership and was directed by two employees to file this complaint. They too felt the sub frame shouldn't have ripped apart like it did. Had I been involved in a collision with another car my car would have crumbled . Trading it in as soon as its repairs are complete . Scares me to think what would've happened if my child were with me.

Dealer repaired airbag recall, now SRS light is on and won’t turn off. Dealer now wants hundreds of dollars to check and or fix possible issue told that it may be something else and more work needed. This issue should be part of recall repairs. This car only has 63,200 miles on it well maintained should not have these issues.
