SummaryComplaint Noises from the area of the steering column. - Creaking - Squeaking - Chattering - Humming - Grinding Cause At present, there are no known noise problems with the steering column. Remedy Check surrounding area of the steering column for possible noises. • Instrument panel support • Steering column switch module If noise only occurs when adjusting the steering column via electric actuation please perform: 1. Disassemble bellows of steering column tube module. 2. Move steering column entirely out and entirely down. 3. Grease steering column on green-marked positions with a suitable brush (find pictures in attachment). 4. Move column up 1/4 of the way and grease again. 5. Continue until upper limit stop is reached. 6. Then move steering column adjustment in all directions from limit stop to limit stop several times to work in the grease. 7. If noise does not resolve, perform above procedure again. 8. Then move steering column adjustment in all directions from limit stop to limit stop several times to work in the grease. 9. If noise still does not resolve, please open a TIPS case. For all other noises or if the above does not resolve, create a TIPS case Body, Chassis, and Entertainment inbox. Attach a detailed description of the noise complaint, images, and a recording of the noise. A detailed description includes: • Position of height and longitudinal adjustment when the noise occurs • If possible, locate affected component part on steering column • State any change in the noise when steering column component parts are touched (e.g. spring, etc.)

SummaryComplaint "Key Not Detected" message appears on the IC while driving even though the key is in the car and no doors have been opened. Cause Possible SW Remedy Confirm that the message is not due to the driver's door being opened and that the door latch is reading properly. For vehicles that do not have the above issues, there is SW in development. Current workaround is to ensure that the key is left on the antenna in the storage compartment.

SummaryComplaint The following most common complaints may be observed: • Brief connectivity interruptions when using Apple CarPlay over Wi-Fi • Audio cuts out • Device not recognized • No operation possible Cause There are multiple possible causes for an iPhone disconnecting from a vehicle’s head unit while using Apple CarPlay. These include hardware, software, and environmental factors: Environmental Interference: External Sources: • Passing under toll bridges, driving near airports, or areas with heavy electronic interference can cause connection drops. Cellular Networks: • Interference from nearby cell towers operating on similar frequencies (usually 2.4GHz or 5GHz) can disrupt the signal. Storage Location: • Keeping your phone in a handbag or surrounded by other objects inside the vehicle can create physical or electronic interference. Device and Software Topics: Head Unit Software/Hardware: • Hardware causes or outdated firmware in the vehicle’s head unit can prevent a stable connection. iPhone Software/Hardware: • Similar causes in the iPhone, including outdated iOS versions or hardware causes, may affect performance. Reset or Reboot: • Automatic rebooting or resetting of either the head unit or the iPhone will temporarily disrupt CarPlay. Connection and Settings: Wired Connections • Cables: A compromised or poor-quality iPhone-USB cable can cause intermittent or total loss of connection. • USB Ports: Dust, debris, or physical deformation in the USB port of either the head unit or the iPhone can also lead to disconnects. Wireless Connections: • Intermittent Bluetooth/Wi-Fi: Unstable wireless communication (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi) can frequently break the Car- Play connection. Power Management: • Battery Saver Mode: Enabling low power mode may restrict background processes, affecting CarPlay. • Vehicle’s Electrical System: Unstable power delivery from the car’s battery or electrical interruptions can cause the head unit to malfunction. Phone & App Configuration: Phone Settings: • Settings (especially Bluetooth or Wi-Fi) on your iPhone can interfere with the CarPlay link. Third-Party Apps/Profiles: • Installed apps or configuration profiles may conflict with CarPlay’s operation. • Native apps are apple maps, apple music, audio books, apple news, podcasts, messages and phone. All other apps are considered third party apps. App Conflicts: • Running conflicting apps that require similar system resources as CarPlay can cause instability. Mobile Data Plan: • Streaming from online sources without sufficient mobile data can result in lost connectivity. Other Factors: Heat & Overheating: • If either the phone or the head unit overheats, they may disable certain functions to prevent damage, leading to disconnection. User Actions: • Accidentally disconnecting the device in settings, or physically moving or bumping the phone or cable, may disrupt the connection. Remedy Guided Diagnostic Path for Apple CarPlay Connection Issues Please follow the steps below to systematically diagnose and resolve CarPlay concerns: Update Devices: • Ensure the iPhone is updated to the latest available iOS version. • Ensure the vehicle’s head unit is updated to the latest software version available. Isolate the Issue: • Check whether the symptom persists with another iPhone running the latest iOS version. • Test both wireless and wired CarPlay connections: • Does the issue only occur with wireless CarPlay? • Does the wired connection to the phone function correctly? Further Troubleshooting Steps: • Reboot the iPhone. • Reboot the head unit via the settings menu (user data reset). • Remove saved CarPlay connections • Delete the head unit information from the iPhone (see attached video for guidance). • Delete the iPhone from the head unit’s list of paired devices. • Remove the head unit entry from CarPlay settings on the iPhone. • Re-initiate pairing between the head unit and the iPhone to establish a new connection certificate. See attachment for complete text.

SummaryComplaint Traffic sign symbol for "Traffic Sign Assist" is blinking in instrument cluster without obvious cause usually with one of the following scenarios: • Flashing without a speed limit ("- -"). • Flashing when current vehicle speed is under speed limit. • Flashing between US speed limit symbol and European speed limit symbol. Cause There are two identified reasons for this concern: 1. Country code information stored incorrectly at a particular geographic latitude range. 2. Incorrect reference data when the vehicle is started and a GPS signal is not immediately available. Remedy No TIPS case is necessary. Do not replace parts. A new software for the head unit is scheduled for tentative release in Q4 2025 to early Q1 2026 to rectify concern.

SummaryComplaint USB port not functioning properly. Cause Most reported USB port issues are due to improper use or contamination. Note: Any repair costs must be discussed with the customer beforehand. Common external factors identified include: • Fluid intrusion • Broken bushings or physical damage See attachments. Remedy If a component needs replacement but shows no visible external damage, submit a detailed TIPS case only when technical support is required. Include details of all connected external devices (such as charging cables, USB drives, and hard drives). If diagnostic results directly indicate component replacement, a TIPS case is not necessary.

SummaryComplaint Single throttle lift-off clunking noise from the side shaft when moving off (audible at the outboard end). The clunk is heard once when changing from forward to reverse (and vice versa). Note: Sound file in attachment Cause If the complaint is eliminated by experimentally loosening the outboard collar nut (by 1 turn), the problem is due to micromovement in the connection between the wheel bearing inner race and the joint housing of the side shaft. Note: The collar nut must always be replaced after being loosened and must be tightened to the specified torque. Remedy Coat contact surface of side shaft with wheel bearing with Molykote paint. To do this, proceed as follows: 1. Remove outboard side shafts (extract outer joint gearing from wheel hub) 2. Clean contact surface A (see picture file in attachment "Outer joint housing before") before coating with Molykote, using "spirit" (free of dust and grease) 3. Coat contact surface A (see image file in attachment "Outer joint housing after") using Molykote and leave to dry for one hour in removed condition 4. Reinstall side shafts Note: Before using the antifriction coating (Molykote), stir or shake it well (for at least 1 minute).
