SummarySome customer using "Flexible" setting for Oil Change in the maintenance monitor may notice that the oil change due notification will not work due to improper control logic of the PCM. The PCM clears the TRAVELED DISTANCE at the wrong time while the ELAPSED DAYS and the DETERIORATION DETERMINATION work as designed. To correct this issue, the control logic of the PCM has been changed. This TSB is applicable for the following cases. The oil change due notification does not come on, even after mileage exceeded 10,000 miles. Oil life in the center display is still less than 40% even though the mileage exceeded 7,000 miles. To display "Flexible" setting and "Oil life" on the center screen, select the "Applications" screen, "Maintenance", then "Oil Change" tab. For complete details, refer to the the instructions on MGSS (MAINTENANCE MONITOR OPERATION PROCEDURE).

SummarySome customers may complain about an unpleasant odor (such as one may notice with a home freezer) coming from the A/C in hot weather (95°F / 35°C or above). This could be caused by improper control logic for the climate control unit that leaves the A/C compressor on too long and results in a frozen evaporator and an unpleasant odor. To correct this issue, the control logic for the climate control unit has been modified. NOTE: This TSB is not for musty/mildew odors. For those types of odors, refer to TSB for AIR CONDITIONING MUSTY / MILDEW ODOR.

SummarySome vehicles may exhibit an unusual noise (clacking) from under the front of the vehicle. This noise only occurs when starting to move the vehicle while the steering wheel is fully turned to the driver-side (left side for LHD vehicle and right side for RHD vehicle). NOTE: The noise will not occur if the steering wheel is in the center or to the full passenger-side position. The noise is caused when the edge (A) of the inner ball joint (B) gets stuck with the steering gear housing (C). To eliminate the noise, a spacer (A) has been installed between the inner ball joint (B) and the steering gear housing (C) (both sides) to prevent direct contact.

SummaryIf a vehicle is driven on extremely short trips most of the time (where the engine never reaches normal operating temperature), the engine oil may become diluted with fuel and the engine oil level will increase. Engine oil dilution with fuel occurring under this specific driving condition is normal with direct injection engines. If the vehicle is driven on a longer trip after a lot of short trips (where the engine reaches normal operating temperature), the Check Engine Light may turn ON with DTC P0172:00 (Fuel system too rich).

SummaryThis service bulletin illustrates the conditions when a TPMS warning light may illuminate, why it illuminated and how to properly initialize the system. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors the tire pressure of all four tires indirectly using the data sent from the ABS wheel speed sensors. If the air pressure of one or more tires is too low compared with the specified value (the initial value learned by the system), the system warns the driver with the TPMS warning light in the instrument cluster and a beep sound. To allow the TPMS to operate correctly, it is essential that the TPMS be initialized to learn new conditions whenever a tire related service is performed.
