SummarySome vehicles may exhibit one or both of following, making the customer uncomfortable with the operation; 1. Sometimes the steering assist feeling by the Emergency Lane Keeping may be stronger than expected while driving at 37 mph 60 km/h) (or faster. 2.The Smart Brake Support may operate unexpectedly when parking in reverse under certain conditions, mainly while driving at 1.2 mph ( 2 km/h) to 9.3 mph (15 km/h) on flat ground in reverse and vehicle(s) etc. are present around the parking space. 3. While driving on a curved road condition with the MRCC activated, a vehicle in the right or left lane may be detected as an ahead vehicle and the MRCC unexpectedly reduces vehicle speed. This is caused by: 1. There was some room to refine the engineering for a better steering feel. 2.Too sensitive detection of vehicles or objects while in reverse and backing up. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) has been modified.

SummarySome customers may experience that the passenger-side outer door mirror glass tilts down when unlocking and opening the driver's door. This is caused by a door-electrical supply unit malfunction due to changes in the vehicle power conditions. Alternatively, after the passenger-side door mirror tilts down in response to reversing, it does not return to its original position even when the reverse is disengaged. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the door-electrical supply unit (passenger's side) has been modified.

SummarySome customers may complain about squeaking noise coming from the rear of vehicle when driving on bumpy roads and turning. This is caused when the lubricant coating comes out of the bump stopper, changing the resistance between the damper rod and bump stopper. To eliminate this concern, rubber grease is being added inside the bump stoppers during the production process.

SummaryDue to a manufacturing change, the CX-90 transmission has undergone a transmission part design change when replacing the transmission assembly. Old design originally required a coolant line running to the top of the bell housing, the new design has omitted the hole and need for the coolant line. The new/superseded design can be used in place of the old/original design and the coolant hose is no longer needed to be used.

SummarySome vehicles may exhibit a loud vibration noise when the electric A/C compressor is operating. Due to processing variation of the counter-balance bushing (a weight to balance eccentric rotation) installed in the electric compressor, some of the bushing strongly interferes with the shaft, resulting in the humming noise. To eliminate this concern, the machining accuracy of the counter-balance bushing has been improved.

SummaryThis Service Alert provides information for the following symptoms. Although Battery State of Charge (SOC) is full, Maximum Driving Distance Display shows 1 mile (1 km). Although Battery SOC is full, the vehicle cannot drive using EV mode (using electric motor power only) and will use HEV mode (using both electric power and a gas engine. This is caused by low ambient temperature and low battery temperature. EV mode is suspended until the battery warms up to protect it from degradation and the gas engine will power the vehicle. This is normal operation. If the battery pack is able to warm up, EV mode will start and the display will change to show the correct Maximum Driving Distance Display for EV mode.
